Coagulation involves the regulated sequence of proteolytic activation of a series of proteins to achieve appropriate and timely hemostasis in an injured vessel. In the non-pathological state, the inciting event involves exposure of circulating factor VIIa to extravascularly expressed tissue factor, which brings into motion the series of steps which results in cell based model of coagulation. In the new concepts of coagulation system, initiation, amplification and propagation steps are involved to converse of fibrinogen to fibrin. The precisely synchronized cascade of events is counter-balanced by a system of anticoagulant mechanisms. Developmental hemostasis refers to the age-related changes in the coagulation system that are most marked during neonate and childhood. An understanding of these changes in crucial to the accurate diagnosis of hemostatic abnormalities in neonate and children. This review aims to elucidate the main events within the coagulation cascade as it is currently understood to operate in vivo, and also a short review of the anticoagulants as they relate to this model. Also this paper describes the common pitfalls observed in the clinical data related to the coagulation system in neonate to children.

The RAPD data were used to assess genetic similarity among f grape cultivars. Of the 100 random primers tested on genomic DNA, 10 primers could be selected for Benetic analysis, and the selected primers generated a total of 115 distinct amplification fragments. A similarity matrix was constructed on the basis of the presence or absence of bands. The 7 grape cultivars analyzed with UPGMA were clustered into two groups of A and B. The similarity coefficient value of cultivars was high. The mean similarity index for all pairwise comparisons was 0.851, and ranged from 0.714 ('Rosaki' and 'Black Olympia') to 0.988 ('Kyoho' and 'Daebong'). After due consideration of differences in cultural and morphological characteristics of these two theoretically identical cultivars, it could be deduced that 'Daebong' is a bud sport of 'Kyoho' cultivar.
The definitive identification of ciliate species by morphological characteristics relies on time-consuming and laborious staining techniques. Therefore, in this study, we discriminated 3 scuticociliatosis causing species - Pseudocohnilembus persalinus, Uronema marinum and Philasterides dicentrarchi - in cultured olive flounder by multiplex PCR. The multiplex PCR based on the species-specific amplification of small subunit ribosomal RNA (SS rRNA) gene sequence enabled us to distinguish the 3 scuticociliate species in a simple and rapid manner, even in the sample containing the three species simultaneously. These data suggest that the multiplex PCR strategy would make it possible to avoid the cumbersome and time-consuming procedures of morphological analysis for the definitive identification of scuticociliates.
Modelling and analysis of a brick masonry building involves uncertainties like modelling assumptions and properties of local material. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a calibration to evaluate the dynamic properties of the structure. The response of the finite element model is improved by predicting the parameter by performing linear dynamic analysis on experimental data by comparing the acceleration. Further, a nonlinear dynamic analysis was also performed comparing the roof acceleration and damage pattern of the structure obtained analytically with the test findings. The roof accelerations obtained analytically were in good agreement with experimental roof accelerations. The damage patterns observed analytically after every shock were almost similar to that of experimental observations. Damage pattern with amplification in roof acceleration exhibit the potentiality of earthquake resistant measures in brick masonry models.
Using bi-direction SOA based Extension system, FTTH can enhance PON system by increasing both the upstream and downstream link budget. This increased link budget can be used to extend the distance, increase the split ratio or both. The bi-direction SOA regenerates signals using all-optical amplification, and is therefore transparent to data rate or protocol. The bi-direction SOA supports legacy as well as future FTTx standards. This is based on SOA's proprietary technology platform for the manufacturing of advanced discrete photonics and photonic integrated circuits (PICs). Because the bi-direction SOA uses the same InP semiconductor technology used in virtually all telecom lasers, it is able to amplify signals at 1310 and 1490 nm, wavelengths not accessible with commercial fiber-amplifier (EDFA) technology. Due to the extremely fast response time of the InP semiconductor optical amplifiers inside, the SOA can accommodate both continuous (downstream) and bursty (upstream) traffic.
The phylogenetic relationships of the most dominant and morphologically cryptic endophytic fungal isolates from each of five selected medicinal plants, namely Potentilla fulgens, Osbeckia stellata, Osbeckia chinensis, Camellia caduca, and Schima khasiana of the biodiversity rich state of Meghalaya, were assessed with random amplification of polymorphic DNA and PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism profiles. Sequencing of the internal transcribed spacer 1, small subunit rRNA and partial ${\beta}$-tubulin gene fragments was also conducted to determine the phylogenetic relationships of these isolates with fungal sequences available in Genbank, NCBI. The identity of the fungal isolates is suggested based on the molecular phylogenetic data.
This paper presents the RC-Bank installation by its optimal location and design to reduce harmonics on the Korean high-speed railway system. The system model of the Korean high-speed railway system is based on 8-port representation, which is an extension of 2-port network theory. A new proposed model is for harmonic analysis in $2\times27.5kV$ traction power supply system including feeders, contact lines, rails and autotransformers. The proposed model is developed by combining fundamental element models of the Korean high-speed railway system, and it is verified by comparing simulation results with measurement data regarding the amplification rate of harmonic currents.
The epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) protein kinase signaling is an important pathway in cancer development and recently reported that EGFR and its kinase domain molecules are mutated in various of cancers including head and neck cancer. Functional deregulation of EGFR due to mutations in coding exons and copy number amplification is the most common event in cancers, especially among receptor tyrosine kinases(TK). We have analyzed Korean oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC) cell lines for mutations in EGFRTK. Exons encoding the hot-spot regions in the TK domain of EGFR (exons 17 to 23) were amplified by using polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and sequenced directly. EGFR expression was also analyzed in 8 OSCC cell lines using western blotting. Data analysis of the EGFR exons 17 to 23 coding sequences did not show any mutations in the 8 OSCC cell lines that were analyzed. The absence of mutations indicate that protein overexpression might be responsible for activation rather than mutation.

This paper proposes a new model for harmonic analysis in 2${\times}$25㎸ traction power supply system including inverted feeder, contact line, rails and auto-transformer. The system model is based on four-port representation which is an extension of two-port network theory. In order to verify the proposed approach, we have analysed and tested real traction power feeding system focused on the amplification of harmonic current. The calculation results front tile proposed approach and the measurement data from the test are widely described in the paper.
