Five isoflavones were isolated from the root of Caragana microphylla Lam. and the structures have been identified by means of chemical and physical methods. The isoflavones are 7-hydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone(formononetin), $form ononetin-7-O-{\beta}-glucoside(ononin)$, 7-hydroxy-3', 4'-methylenedioxyisoflavone(pseudobaptigenin), $7-O-{\beta}-glucuopyranosyloxy-3'- hydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone(calycosin-7-O-{\beta}-gluc-oside)$ and maackiain.

This paper proposes a novel hybrid converter topology suitable for electric vehicle on-board battery chargers, which is a combination of the full-bridge (FB) and half-bridge (HB) LLC circuits. A full load controllability under wide output voltage range can be achieved with a small resonant inductance, which increases the efficiency and lowers the size and cost. Simulation results are shown to evaluate the dynamic performance of the proposed converter.

As part of our research to discover novel synthetic flavonoids which can be applied to chronic inflammation diseases, many structurally modified flavone analogs have been synthesized to obtain information concerning the relationships between structures and the anti-inflammatory activities. We previously reported that 7-methoxyflavone analogs generally exhibited strong inhibitory activities against cyclooxygenase-2 catalyzed prostaglandin production. (omitted)

All creatures are living in the space and time. As the space and time are prior to experience, they are preconditions for an incident to happen and preconditions for each other to coexist as well. Therefore, time can be recognized through the change of space and the space can be understood by the passage of time. In western philosophy, the space was understood as an object, place, interval, mind and etc. In oriental philosophy, even though one space is just a part of bigger space, the space may represent the universal space, and the various spaces are no more than a space. The space itself doesn't have any color, form, beginning and end, or liu-he(六合). However, it is the biggest concept that we can find everywhere. In order to understand the space, we need to find our position by expressing subjective positions like above and below, left and right, before and after, and objective positions like high and low, east and west, south and north. In oriental philosophy, the sun is the standard point in finding position; its front side is south, the backside is north, the left side is east, the right side is west, the upper side is south and the lower side north. Based on the finding position which is stated above and by taking each characteristics of he-luo-xi-wen(河洛羲文) and interrelations among them, the space can be modeled. Followings are the results obtained from this study: Tian doesn't fill in west and north. Di doesn't fill in east and south. Tian-dao(天道) turns to left, and Di-dao(地道) turns to right. There is no direct way to get to Dui-chong-fang without passing by Zhong-gong(中宮). The solid figure of eighty-one Bian-ju(變局) and sixty-four Gua-tu(卦圖).

Present study aimed to investigate the effect of curcumin-pretreatment on intestinal I/R injury and on intestinal mucosa barrier. Thirty Wistar rats were randomly divided into: sham, I/R, and curcumin groups (n=10). Animals in curcumin group were pretreated with curcumin by gastric gavage (200 mg/kg) for 2 days before I/R. Small intestine tissues were prepared for Haematoxylin & Eosin (H&E) staining. Serum diamine oxidase (DAO) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-${\alpha}$ levels were measured. Expression of intestinal TNF-${\alpha}$ and tight junction protein (ZO-1) proteins was detected by Western blot and/or immunohistochemistry. Serum DAO level and serum and intestinal TNF-${\alpha}$ leves were significantly increased after I/R, and the values were markedly reduced by curcumin pretreatment although still higher than that of sham group (p<0.05 or p<0.001). H&E staining showed the significant injury to intestinal mucosa following I/R, and curcumin pretreatment significantly improved the histological structure of intestinal mucosa. I/R insult also induced significantly down-regulated expression of ZO-1, and the effect was dramatically attenuated by curcumin-pretreatment. Curcumin may protect the intestine from I/R injury through restoration of the epithelial structure, promotion of the recovery of intestinal permeability, as well as enhancement of ZO-1 protein expression, and this effect may be partly attributed to the TNF-${\alpha}$ related pathway.

In this thesis, I consider the definition and category Huang-Lao philosophy that doesn't argue to the present in the academic world. I consider the origin and formation of Huang-Lao philosophy, in the view of combining the history of a nature and a human. I consider the origin of Huang-Lao philosophy in the Guoyu and Zuozhuan, Huang-Lao philosophy accepts open academic tradition of Jixia philosophy that has an ideological acception freely, and I consider the process of an advance and systematic theory of Huang-Lao philosophy on the basis of the four treatises of Guanzi and Hanfeizi. Also, in this thesis, I focus on the current of Huang-Lao philosophy, on the both sides. One is acception of Zhujia of Daojia the other is acception of Daojia of Zhujia(Fajia). and I analysis the various contents and forms between a peculiar world view and a political methodology of Wubuwei(無不爲) in Huang-Lao philosophy.
