Design of online damage images detection system for large-aperture mirrors of high power laser facility based on wavefront coding technology

  • The laser transport system of the high power laser facility is mainly composed of large-aperture laser transport mirrors (TMs). Obtaining the high-resolution online damage images during the operation, which is of great significance for operating safely of the mirrors and the facility. Based on wavefront coding, pan-tilt scanning and image stitching technologies, an online laser-damage images detection system is designed, and it can achieve high-precision detection of surface characteristics of large-aperture laser transport mirrors. The preliminary simulation proves that the system can solve the depth of field matching problem caused by pan-tilt tilt imaging and achieve higher resolution.

열화상 비파괴 검사법을 이용한 도로포장 결함 검출 (Detecting of the defects of pavement of a road by using infrared thermography)

  • The purpose of this paper is to find an limitation to detect the defect of damaged asphalt pavement structures for infrared thermography. We use heat source of a natural light to detect the defect efficiently. The heat source was applied to the asphalt specimens. Four asphalt specimens were used: one was the asphalt containing depth of 1cm internal timber, two was the asphalt containing depth of 2cm internal void, Three was the asphalt containing depth of 3cm internal timber and four was not the asphalt containing internal timber. It was found that the depth of 3cm internal timber could be detected by this method. In addition, we used the image processing to make the damage zone displayed clear in the image obtained from the thermographic operation.

  • Most of the surface/interface analysis tools have limited depth profiling c capability in terms of the profiling range and the depth resolution. 해수 환경에서 Al5083-H321 알루미늄 합금의 침식부식 손상에 미치는 유속의 영향과 손상 메카니즘 (Effect of Flow Rate on Erosion Corrosion Damage and Damage Mechanism of Al5083-H321 Aluminum Alloy in Seawater Environment)

  • In this study, erosion tests and erosion-corrosion tests of Al5083-H321 aluminum alloy were conducted at various flow rates in seawater. The erosion tests were conducted at a flow rate of 0 to 20 m/s, and erosion-corrosion tests were performed by potentiodynamic polarization method at the same flow rate. Characteristic evaluation after the erosion test was conducted by surface analysis. Characteristic evaluation after the erosion-corrosion test was performed by Tafel extrapolation and surface analysis. The results of the surface analysis after the erosion test showed that surface damage tended to increase as the flow rate increased. In particular, intermetallic particles were separated due to the breakdown of the oxide film at 10 m/s or more. In the erosion-corrosion test, the corrosion current density increased as the flow rate increased. Additionally, the surface analysis showed that surface damage occurred in a vortex shape and the width of the surface damage tended to increase as the flow rate increased. Moreover, damage at 0 m/s, proceeded in a depth direction due to the growth of pitting corrosion, and the damaged area tended to increase due to acceleration of the intermetallic particle loss by the fluid impact.

충돌 손상된 선체구조의 최종 종강도에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Ultimate Longitudinal Strength of Ship Structures Damaged due to Side Collision)

  • Ships in bad weather conditions are likely to be subjected to accidental loads, such as high bending moment, collision, and grounding. Once she has damage to her hull, her ultimate strength will be reduced. This paper discusses an investigation of the effect of collision damage on the ultimate strength of a ship structure by performing a series of collapse tests. For the experiment, five box-girder models with stiffeners were prepared with a cross section of $720mm\;{\times}\;720mm$ and a length of 900mm. Of the five, one had no damage and four had an ellipse shaped damage area that represented the shape of the bulbous bow of a colliding ship. The amount of damage size was different between models. Among the damaged models, the damage in three of them was made by cutting the plate and stiffener, and in one by pressing to represent collision damage. Experiments were carried out under a pure bending load and the applied load and displacements were recorded. The ultimate strength was reduced as the damage size increased, as expected. The one with the largest amount of damage had damage to 30% of the depth, and its ultimate strength was reduced by 19% compared to the undamaged one. The pressed one has higher ultimate strength than those that were cut. This might be due to the fact that the plate around the pressed damage area contributes to the ultimate strength, whereas the cut one has no plate to contribute.

화재로 인한 교량구조의 손상 분석 (Damage Analysis of the Bridge Structure Caused by Fire Outbreak)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 화재가 발생한 교량의 지속적인 사용가능 여부를 결정하고 보수·보강에 대한 근거자료를 제공하기 위해 교량의 화재 손상여부를 정확하게 분석하는 것이다. 연구방법: 구조물에 전달된 화재온도를 추정하기 위하여 콘크리트의 XRD, SEM 및 EDS 분석 등을 실시하였으며, PSCI Beam 및 바닥판 콘크리트 표면으로부터의 깊이별, 구역별로 분석하였다. 연구결과: 화재구간 콘크리트에 대한 시험결과 G12,11은 깊이 60mm까지 열에 의한 영향이 미친 것으로 확인되었고 수열온도는 최대 1000℃ 이상인 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 G10,9,8 거더는 G12,11에 비해 상대적으로 약한 피해를 입었으며 피해 정도는 최대 40mm 깊이까지 열에 의한 영향을 받은 것으로 확인되었다. 결론: 분석된 자료를 근거로 보수·보강과 정기적인 점검을 시행한다면 본 교량은 화재에 의한 손상을 감안하더라도 충분한 안전성을 확보할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

교량에 집적된 유송잡물의 배수영향에 의한 홍수피해 분석 (Flood Damage Estimation causing Backwater due to the Blockage by Debris in the Bridges)

  • 하천을 횡단하는 교량은 하천의 배수위를 증가시키는 중요한 요인으로 작용한다. 더욱이 산지하천에 시공된 교량은 유송잡물에 의한 폐색으로 인하여 교량 직상류부에 홍수피해를 가중시킨다. 본 연구에서는 교각에 집적되는 유송잡물의 영향으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 홍수피해 규모를 확인하고자 대상하천에 대한 HEC-RAS 모형과 HEC-GeoRAS 모형을 구축하여 모의하였다. 교각에 집적된 유송잡물에 의한 폐색이 하천의 범람을 일으키는 원인으로 가정하여 범람 시나리오 별로 부정류 모의를 실시한 결과 월류지점 및 홍수용량을 산정하였고, 이에 따라 대략적인 범람예상구역을 작성하였다. 그러나 범람구역의 침수면적과 침수심에 대하여 실제 분석결과를 제대로 반영하지 못하는 한계가 있었다. 따라서 수치지형도와 위성사진을 이용하여 범람예상구역을 재설정하고 수치고도자료 내에서 월류용량과 동일 용량의 침수면적과 침수심을 갖는 범람구역을 재작성하는 과정을 수행함으로써 좀 더 정확한 홍수피해 규모를 산정하였다.

Rock bridge fracture model and stability analysis of surrounding rock in underground cavern group

  • Many hydropower stations in southwest China are located in regions of brittle rock mass with high geo-stresses. Under these conditions deep fractured zones often occur in the sidewalls of the underground caverns of a power station. The theory and methods of fracture and damage mechanics are therefore adopted to study the phenomena. First a flexibility matrix is developed to describe initial geometric imperfections of a jointed rock mass. This model takes into account the area and orientation of the fractured surfaces of multiple joint sets, as well as spacing and density of joints. Using the assumption of the equivalent strain principle, a damage constitutive model is established based on the brittle fracture criterion. In addition the theory of fracture mechanics is applied to analyze the occurrence of secondary cracks during a cavern excavation. The failure criterion, for rock bridge coalescence and the damage evolution equation, has been derived and a new sub-program integrated into the FLAC-3D software. The model has then been applied to the stability analysis of an underground cavern group of a hydropower station in Sichuan province, China. The results of this method are compared with those obtained by using a conventional elasto-plastic model and splitting depth calculated by the splitting failure criterion proposed in a previous study. The results are also compared with the depth of the relaxation and fracture zone in the surrounding rock measured by field monitoring. The distribution of the splitting zone obtained both by the proposed model and by the field monitoring measurements are consistent to the validity of the theory developed herein.

기계 가공된 복합재료 키 조인트의 강도 연구 (A Study on Strength of the Machined Composite Key Joint)

  • 복합재료가 기계부품, 항공기 구조물에 폭 넓게 적용됨에 따라, 복합재료 구조물에서 가장 취약한 복합재료 체결부의 설계는 매우 중요한 연구 분야로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기계적 체결방법의 문제점으로 발생하는 원공주위의 높은 응력집중현상을 감소시키기 위하여, 복합재료 키 조인트(composite key joint)를 제안하였고 파손강도를 평가하였다. 제안된 복합재료키 조인트 체결부의 파손 판정을 위해서 파손지수(failure index)와 파손영역법(damage area theory)이 각각 적용되었다. 실험 결과로부터 복합재료 키 조인트는 기계적 체결부의 파손강도보다 93% 높은 값을 가짐을 볼 수 있었고, 복합재료 키 홈 깊이(key slot depth)가 0.88 mm이고 끝단 길이(edge length)가 20 mm일 때 가장 높은 파손하중 나타내었다.

국부충돌해석에 의한 SC벽체의 국부손상 평가 (Evaluation of Local Damage of SC Wall using Local Collision Simulation)

  • 지금까지 항공기 충돌에 대한 안전성 검토는 국부거동 및 전반거동으로 나뉘어 검토되어 왔으며, 이 중 국부거동의 평가는 RC (Reinforcement Concrete)벽체를 대상으로 실험에 기초하여 제시된 국부손상 평가식을 사용하여 검토되었다. 그러나 최근 적용이 시작된 SC (Steel plate reinforced Concrete)벽체의 항공기 충돌에 대한 국부적인 거동 및 손상을 평가할 수 있는 자료는 거의 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 연성 충격체인 이상화된 항공기 엔진을 대상으로 콘크리트 벽체의 두께 및 강판의 강재비를 변수로 충돌해석을 수행하여 SC벽체 및 RC벽체의 국부손상을 평가하였다. SC벽체 및 RC벽체에 대한 충돌해석결과로부터 국부손상에서 나타나는 관입깊이를 상호 비교분석하였다.
