Blind Signal Subspace Channel Estimation technique for DS-CDMA DMB downlink (DS-CDMA DMB 하향링크에서의 블라인드 신호공간 채널추정 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a new channel estimation technique for long code DS-CDMA DMB down link system which estimate the channel response based on the signal space vector only, unlike the most conventional sub-space method relying on the orthogonal property of noise space vectors to the signal space vector. Because of this property of the proposed method, very optimum covariance matrix in its dimension can be used in subspace analysis channel estimation technique otherwise it is likely too large to be implemented practically.

  • In this paper, we propose a class of polyphase signature sequences, whose general odd correlation properties are useful for 4-phase signaling systems. The performance of the direct sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) systems using the proposed sequences is compared with that using binary pseudo-noise sequences. The performance of the system using the proposed sequence is shown to be better than that using other conventional sequences both from the worst-case analysis and bit error rate simulations.

  • Blind Equalization Method without training sequences is proposed for channel efficiency in mobile communication system for asynchronous multi-user DS-CDMA. the risk of mis-convergence of weak-power users is increased because of small regions of convergence in case of near-far effect in CMA(Constant Modulus Algorithm) which is the simplest has high performance and widely implemented. In despite the problem a equalization using Newton method has higher performance than a conventional method in squared error and eye-pattern.

  • In this paper, we improve error performance for BPSK and QPSK when the carrier recovery signal is not perfect in the multipath Rician fading channel based on DS-CDMA system. In the case, we use the MRC(Maximal Ratio Combining) diversity and convolutional coding technique in order to overcome this carrier phase error and Rician fading. With results of analysis, we know that the appropriate use of MRC diversity and convolutional code reduced considerably performance degradation due to phase error.

  • DS-CDMA 이동통신 시스템에서 소프트 핸드오프는 간섭을 감소시켜, 역방향 링크 용량을 증대시키고 통화 절단율을 감소시켜 시스템 성능을 향상시킨다. 반면에 무선 채널 자원 측면에서는 공간 다이버시티를 위해 다수 개의 무선자원을 사용하기 때문에 시스템 성능을 저하시킬 수도 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 무선자원 활용 측면에서 DS-CDMA 이동통신 시스템의 소프트 핸드오프에 대한 성능을 분석하였다. 분석 결과에서 무선 채널 자원이 한정된 경우에 소프트 핸드오프 영역이 증가하면 소프트 핸드오프 빈도와 평균 채널 점유시간이 증가하여 채널 블록킹율을 상당하게 증가시키는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 핸드오프 영역이 증가되기 전과 동일한 블록킹율을 유지시키기 위해서는 증가되는 영역에 비례하여 추가적인 무선 채널 자원이 제공되어야 한다.

Effects of Array Weight Errors on Parallel Interferene Cancellation Receiver in Uplink Synchronous and Asynchronous DS-CDMA Systems

  • This paper investigates the impacts of array weight errors (AWE) in an antenna array (AA) on a parallel interference cancellation (PIC) receiver in uplink synchronous and asynchronous direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. The performance degradation due to an AWE, which is approximated by a Gaussian distributed random variable, is estimated as a function of the variance of the AWE. Theoretical analysis, confirmed by simulation, demonstrates the tradeoffs encountered between system parameters such as the number of antennas and the variance of the AWE in terms of the achievable average bit error rate and the user capacity. Numerical results show that the performance of the PIC with the AA in the DS-CDMA uplink is sensitive to the AWE. However, either a larger number of antennas or uplink synchronous transmissions have the potential of reducing the overall sensitivity, and thus improving its performance.

  • 현재 디지털 이동통신에서 사용되고 있는 DS/CDMA 방식은 멀티미디어 통신과 같은 고속 데이터 전송에 적용할 경우 다중경로 페이딩 채널하에서 인접심볼간 간섭 및 다중접속간섭이 심해지는 문제점을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 점을 보안하기 위하여 Hybrid DS/FH CDMA 방식을 이용한 시스템에 고속전송을 위한 Multi-Code 시스템을 적용하여 Hybrid DS/FH Multi-Code Spread Spectrum System을 제안하였으며, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능을 분석 검증 하였다.

Performance of an Orthogonal Multicarrier CDMA System over Rayleigh/Rician Fading Channels

  • We consider an improved multicarrier(MC) CDMA system that combines both DS-CDMA with a concatenated orthogonal/PN spreading sequence and MC modulation. This system incorporates the advantages of DS-CDMA with a concatenated sequence to achieve large user capacity and MC modulation technique to combat the effects of a multipath fading channel and intersymbol interference(ISI). Considering voice activity and imperfect sectorization, the system performance is analysed for the maximal ratio combiner(MRC) under a multicell, multiuser, and multipath Rayleigh/Rician fading channels. The performance of the system is improved much more for the single path fading channel compared to the multipath fading channel. Also the system is shown to have the more improved average bit error rate(BER) over the orthogonal MC-CDMA with the conventional PN sequence.

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of a DS-CDMA system employing adaptive adaptive array antenna technology at base-station. For the analysis the receiving architecture of a multiple team adaptive base-station array antenna is proposed as a major system omponent, and signal to interference and noise ratio(SINR) on the proposed architecture is developed. We show that the perfomance enhancement of the CDMA system is represented as great reduction of interfreence by employing an array antenna capable of resolving the angular distribution of the mobile users as seen at the ase-station. The energy associated with each mobile or a group of mobiles is thus confined within the addressed volume, greatly reducing the amount of co-channel interference experienced from and by neighboring co-channel cells. In order to ascertain the benefits of such an antenna, a theoretical approach, which eis based on the conventional and proposed antenna systems in a typical mobile radio environment, is adopted. Finally computer simulation results show the insight into how the adaptive array antenna operates when used in conjunction with DS-CDMA and illustrate the potential benefits in the SINR point of view.

  • This paper have been analyzed performance of DS-CDMA/QPSK system in short range IVC, and evaluated packet uu rate(PER) in an On-Ray Rician channel model suitable for platoon driving of AVHS that 60GHz millimeter wave is very powerful to MP(multipath-wave). We analyzed probability characteristic of system as variation of Rician factor and user number in One-Ray Rician fading environment and evaluated packet error rate(PER) according to inter-vehicle distance when the BCH channel coding(255,247,1) and diversity schemes is adopted.
