  • Materials used for the inks in the printing industry is an important material following the paper. The composition of the ink is pigment and organic solvents. However, Ink is used in a variety of chemicals, they are classified as non-green. Therefore, rosin-modified phenolics manufactured by the reaction of phenol and formaldehyde can take the place of eco-phenol free resin and by experiment density, gloss, trapping, contrast and dot gain of printing has been studied as printability. The result of study can support that the properties of printing using eco-phenol free resin such as density, gloss, contrast and trapping is similar to existing ink. In the part of dot gain, the result is excellent. So we were thought to be able to improve some characteristics such as dispersion of black ink, that will be possible for the field applicability.

  • As compared with reaction of antibody for sonicated antigen of Brucella abortus strain RB51 and 1119-3 by Western blot analysis, Brucella field positive sera was detected strong reaction at 40~80 kDa LPS of strain 1119-3, but detected very weak reaction at strain RB51 partly. Otherwise, as we analyzed major immunogen of RB51 by antisera bled periodically during 6 months after RB51 vaccination. we detected strong immunological reaction at 17, 18 and 8 kDa antigen of RB51. Especially, reaction of 8 kDa antigen by Western blot coincided with reaction of dot-blot assay in RB51-antibody detection method. We also compared with reaction of field sera by STAT(standard tube agglutination test), dot-blot assay and Western blot (reaction of 8 kDa antigen of strain RB51). 16 sera of 4~5 months after RB51 vaccination are all negative by STAT, and 12 field brucellosis positive serum are all positive, and also 12 of 16 sera vaccinated RB51 are positive by dot-blot assay and reaction of 8kDa antigen by Western blot. but 1 of 15 Brucellosis negative sera reacted nonspecifically dot-blot assay.

Expression of Human Lactoferricin in HC11 Cells (HC11 세포에서 인체 락토페리신의 발현)

  • Lactofenicin is an antibacterial peptide fragment (about 5 kD) derived from lactoferrin (80 kD) that displays the various biological functions. The production of a human lactoferricin (Lactoferricin H) in mouse HC11 mammary epithelial cells was achieved by placing its cDNA under the control of the bovine ${\beta}$-casein gene. To express lactoferricin H in this cell culture system, constructed a hybride-splice signal consisting of bovine ${\beta}$-casein intron I and rabbit ${\beta}$-globin intron II, and a DNA fragment spanning intron 8 of the bovine ${\beta}$-casein gene. Expression of lactofenicin H from this expression vector was identified by RT-PCR, northern and dot blot analysis. RT-PCR using total RNA of HC11 cells transfected with pBL1-cin expression vector yielded a product identified as having a size of the 150bp. Northern blot analysis was identified about 2.3 kb. In dot blot analysis, recombinant lactofenicin H was recognized with anti-human lactofrrnin polyclonal antibody.

  • Pulsation variance technique is blended the bumpy popple-sonance status of the brilliant-disparity understanding level (BDUL) on pulsation understanding gestalt. The understanding level condition by the pulsation understanding gestalt system is composed with the popple-sonance system. As to look for a two-node white-small dot of the brilliant situation, we are to take of the pulsation value with two-node white-small dot by the output signal. Moreover indicating a bumpy variance of the BDUL of the maximum-minimum in terms of the popple-sonance gestalt, and pulsation two-node white-small dot sonance that was the a pulsation value of the far variance of the Pul-ug-FA-${\pi}_{MAX}$-MIN with $23.24{\pm}3.36units$, that was the a pulsation value of the convenient variance of the Pul-ug-CO-${\pi}_{MAX}$-MIN with $7.97{\pm}1.60units$, that was the a pulsation value of the flank variance of the Pul-ug-FL-${\pi}_{MAX}$-MIN with $3.02{\pm}0.47units$, that was the a pulsation value of the vicinage variance of the Pul-ug-VI-${\pi}_{MAX}$-MIN with $0.50{\pm}(-0.01)units$. The popple sonance will be to evaluate at the bumpy ability of the popple-sonance gestalt with two-node white-small dot by the pulsation understanding level on the BDUL that is indicated the brilliant-disparity gestalt by the understanding level system. We will be possible to suppress of a gestalt by the special signal and to utilize a pulsation data of popple sonance level by the popple understanding system.

Fabrication and Evaluation of CdS/ZnS Quantum Dot Based Plastic Scintillator (CdS/ZnS 양자점 기반 플라스틱 섬광체 제작 및 성능평가)

  • Currently, gamma nuclide analysis is mainly used using inorganic scintillators or semiconductor detectors. These detectors have high resolution but there are less economical, limited in size, and low process ability than plastic scintillators. Therefore, quantum dot-based plastic scintillator was developed using the advantages of the quantum dot nanomaterial and the conventional plastic scintillator. In this study, efficient plastic scintillator was fabricated by adding CdS/ZnS based on the most widely used Cd-based nanomaterial in a polystyrene matrix. In addition, the performance of the commercial plastic scintillator was compared and it was analyzed through radiological measurement experiments. The detection efficiency of fabricated plastic scintillator was higher than commercial plastic scintillator, EJ-200. It is believed that this fabricated plastic scintillator can be used as a radioactivity analyzer in the medical and nuclear facility fields.

Effect of Size of Sintered Body on Resonant and Filter Characteristics in Pb(Sn1/2Sb1/2)O3-PbTiO3 Piezoelectric Ceramics (Pb(Sn1/2Sb1/2)O3-PbTiO3계 소결체의 직경변화가 공진 및 필터특성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, the effect of the size of sintered body on resonant and filter characteristics in Pb(Sn1/2Sb1/2)O3-PbTiO3 piezo-electric system were investigated. The attenuation characteristics of ring-dot type and ladder type filter were also investigated. As the size of sintered body was decreased, the resonant characteristic(Fr, Fa) and the center frequency(Fo) were increased. As the poling field was increased, the Kp and bandwidth were increased. The big difference between rign-dot type and ladder type was the sharpness of bandwidth, selectivity and the movement of center frequency.

Electrical Property in InAn/GaAs Quantum Dot Infrared Photodetector with Hydrogen Plasma Treatment (수소화 처리된 InAs/GaAs 양자점 적외선 수광소자의 전기적 특성)

  • In this paper, we investigated the effect of hydrogen-plasma (H-plasma) treatment on the electrical and optical properties of a quantum dot infrared photodetector (QDIP) with a 5-stacked InAs dots in an InGaAs/GaAs well structure and $Al_{0.3}Ga_{0.7}As/GaAs$ SL (superlattice) current blocking layer. It has been observed that H-plasma treatment didn't affect the band structure of QDIP. It has been also observed that the H-plasma treatment on the QDIP not only enhance the electrical property of QDIP by curing the defect channels in $Al_{0.3}Ga_{0.7}As/GaAs$ SL but also introduce defects in QDIP structure. The H-plasma treatment for 10 min with 20 W of RF power provided the lowest dark current, which made it possible to measure the photo-current (PC) of QDIP whose PC was not detectable without the H-plasma treatment due to the high dark current.
