The purpose of the study is to contribute to the positive development of blockchain technology by providing data to examine security vulnerabilities and threats to blockchain-based services and review countermeasures. The findings of this study are as follows. Threats to the security of blockchain-based services can be classified into application security threats, smart contract security threats, and network (P2P) security threats. First, application security threats include wallet theft (e-wallet stealing), double spending (double payment attack), and cryptojacking (mining malware infection). Second, smart contract security threats are divided into reentrancy attacks, replay attacks, and balance increasing attacks. Third, network (P2P) security threats are divided into the 51% control attack, Sybil attack, balance attack, eclipse attack (spread false information attack), selfish mining (selfish mining monopoly), block withholding attack, DDoS attack (distributed service denial attack) and DNS/BGP hijacks. Through this study, it is possible to discuss the future plans of the blockchain technology-based ecosystem through understanding the functional characteristics of transparency or some privacy that can be obtained within the blockchain. It also supports effective coping with various security threats.
Separation of optical isomers of some derivatives of amino acids by reversed-phase HPLC has been accomplished by adding a chelate of an optically active amino acid to copper(Ⅱ) to the mobile phase. Cu(Ⅱ) complexes of L-proline and L-hydroxyproline in the mobile phase showed different degrees of separation. Optical isomers of DNS derivatives of amino acids are selectively separated, but those of several other derivatives are not at all. The kinds of buffer agents, the pH, and the concentrations of acetonitrile and the Cu(Ⅱ) ligand all affect the separations. The elution behavior between D and L DNS-amino acids appears to depend on the alkyl side chain of the amino acids. A chromatographic mechanism is proposed that is based on a stereospecificity of the formation of ternary complexes by the D, L-DNS-amino acids and the chiral additive associated with the stationary phase. The steric effects of the ligand exchange reactions are related with the feasibility of cis and/or trans attack of the amino acids to the binary chiral chelate retained on the stationary phase.

The Bot is a kind of worm/virus that can be used to launch the distributed denial-of-service(DDoS) attacks or send massive amount of spam e-mails, etc. A lot of organizations make an effort to counter the Botnet's attacks. In Korea, we use DNS sinkhole system to protect from the Botnet's attack, while in Japan "so called" CCC(Cyber Clean Center) has been developed to protect from the Botnet's attacks. But in case of DNS sinkhole system, there is a problem since it cannot cure the Bot infected PCs themselves and in case of CCC there is a problem since only 30% of users with the Botnet-infected PCs can cooperate to cure themself. In this paper we propose a new method that prevent the Botnet's attacks and cure the Bot-infected PCs at the same time.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology used to identify the physical objects and get information about the object on which the tag attaches from network. It is expected that RFID will lead IT market from human-oriented to object-oriented. Therefore, RFID technology and services will become wide-spread. But the system of RFID naming service is quite similar to the existing DNS facilities. So it has many weak points against to DDos attack. Furthermore if the MDS server Is under attack, there might be trouble of total RFID networks. In this paper, we propose a new detecting model to find attack traffic at local routers by using Management Information Base (MIB) which is optimized for RFID MDS server.

Software Defined Networking creates totally new concept of networking and its applications which is based on separating the application and control layer from the networking infrastructure as a result it yields new opportunities in improving the network security and making it more automated in robust way, one of these applications is Denial of Service attack mitigation but due to the dynamic nature of Denial of Service attack it would require dynamic response which can mitigate the attack with the minimum false positive. In this paper we will propose a new mitigation Framework for DDoS attacks using Software Defined Networking technology to protect online services e.g. websites, DNS and email services against DoS and DDoS attacks.

With the spread of the Internet around the world, devices connected to the Internet are gradually increasing. In addition, the number of distributed reflection service attacks (DrDoS), an attack that maliciously requests large responses by deceiving IPs as if the attacker was a victim, using vulnerabilities in application protocols such as DNS, NTP, and CLDAP, is increasing rapidly. It is believed that the security threat of distributed reflection service attacks will not disappear unless ISPs establish appropriate countermeasures to IP Spoofing. Therefore, this paper describes the security threat and response status of distributed reflection service attacks based on IP Spoofing.
Sniffing attack is a passive attack which is reassembling packets to collect personal information, bank accounting number, and other important information. Sniffing attack happens in LAN and uses promiscuous mode which is opening filtering by pass all packets in LAN, attackers could catch any packets in LAN, so they can manipulate packets. They are Switch Jamming, Port mirroring, ARP Redirect, and ICMP Redirect attack. To defend these attacks, I proposed to use SSL packet encryption, reconfiguration of switching environment, DNS, and decoy method for defending all kinds of Sniffing attacks.

Recently, lots of anti-phishing schemes have been developed. Several products identify phishing sites and show the results on the address bar of the internet browser, but they determine only by domain names or IP addresses. Although this kind of method is effective against recent DNS pharming attacks, there is still a possibility that hidden attacks which modifies HTML codes could incapacitate those anti-phishing programs. In this paper, the cognitive approach which compares images to decide phishing or pharming is presented, using system tray and balloon tips that are hard to fake with pop-ups or flash in order for users to compare pictures from connecting sites and system tray. It differs from an old method that a program analyzes IP or domains to judge if it is phishing or pharming, but observes if there were HTML code changing between plug-ins and a server.

The NH-NongHyup network and servers were paralyzed in 2011, in the 2013 3.20 cyber attack happened and Classified documents of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. Ltd were leaked on December in 2015. All of them were conducted by a foreign country. These attacks were planned for a long time compared to the script kids attacks and the techniques used were very complex and sophisticated. However, no successful solution has been implemented to defend an APT attack thus far. Therefore, we will use big data analytics to analyze whether or not APT attack has occurred in order to defend against the manipulative attackers. This research is based on the data collected through ISAC monitoring among 3 hierarchical Korean defense system. First, we will introduce related research about big data analytics and machine learning. Then, we design two big data analytics models to detect an APT attack and evaluate the models' accuracy and other results. Lastly, we will present an effective response method to address a detected APT attack.

Password based authentication systems are most widely used for user convenience in web services. However such authentication systems are known to be vulnerable to various attacks such as password guessing attack, dictionary attack and key logging attack. Besides, many of the web systems just provide user authentication in a one-way fashion such that web clients cannot verify the authenticity of the web server to which they set access and give passwords. Therefore, it is too difficult to protect against DNS spoofing, phishing and pharming attacks. To cope with the security threats, web system adopts several enhanced schemes utilizing one time password (OTP) or long and strong passwords including special characters. However there are still practical issues. Users are required to buy OTP devices and strong passwords are less convenient to use. Above all, one-way authentication schemes generate several vulnerabilities. To solve the problems, we propose a multi-channel, multi-factor authentication scheme by utilizing QR-Code. The proposed scheme supports both user and server authentications mutually, thereby protecting against attacks such as phishing and pharming attacks. Also, the proposed scheme makes use of a portable smart device as a OTP generator so that the system is convenient and secure against traditional password attacks.
