The Integrated SCADA Data Gateway Platform based on SmartGrid (스마트 그리드 기반 통합 SCADA Data Gateway 플랫폼)

  • OPC UA(IEC62541) is a communication protocol for SG(Smart Grid) application platform. It was standardized by IEC TC57 group in December 2012. The IEC61850 has been used in Digital Substation Systems and Smart Distributed Systems. The DNP3.0 has been used for device's data collection/control in Distributed Systems. The DLMS/COSEM has been used to control metering and collect information in the Smart Metering. The top-level SG management platform needs an independent middleware to manage transparently the Power Information Technology, including the IEC61850, DNP3.0, DLMS/COSEM. In this paper, we propose the SDG(Scada Data Gateway) platform. It manages Power Information Technology based Digital Substation Systems and Smart Distributed systems, Smart Metering through OPC UA.

  • Recent work within the DNP work group has resulted in the proposal, DNP 3.0, as the informative interface for distribution automation systems. This proposed standard embodies the generic principles developed and used within generic protocol. This paper describes a compliance test procedure specifically for Distribution Automation System, practical experience.

Studies on Analytical Methods for N-Methylcarbamate Residues in Crops by Spectrophotometry and Gas Liquid Chromatography (작물체중(作物體中) N-Methylcarbamate계(系) 농약(農藥)의 잔류분석법(殘留分析法)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • Analytical methods for residues of six N-methylcarbamate insecticides were investigated to compare the minimum detectability, recovery from several crops and feasibility of multiple residue analysis. Those methods studied in this work included spectrophotometry by diazotization and gas chromatography by N-trifluoroacetylation(TFA), pentafluorobenzylether(PFB) and dinitrophenylether (DNP) derivatization. Maximum absorbed wavelength of the diazotized MIPC, XMC, BPMC, propoxur and carbofu ran was around 460 ㎚, while that of carbaryl recorded 510 ㎚. Recovery from brown rice and apple by diazotization method ranged from 80 to 120% and minimum detectable limits were 0.03 to 0.05 ppm in 50 g of the sample. Minimum detectability of PFB derivatives by gas chromatography was superior to TFA and DNP derivatives. DNP derivatives showed the longest retention time among the given derivatives. Recovery from crops by gas chromatographic met hod ranged 74 to 94%, 78 to 93%, and 85 to 99% in brown rice, rice straw and apple, respectively. Limit of detection was 0.01 ppm for TFA, 0.005 ppm for PFB and 0.02 ppm for DNP derivatives in 50 g of the crop samples.

  • OPC is open connectivity in industrial automation and the enterprise systems that support industry. OPC XML-DA provides a platform-independent on web service-based communication. This paper propose Power IT system integration platform using OPC that is to integration between DLMS protocol used in AMI system and Distribute protocol DNP3.0 throught IEC61850 using Substation Automation Protocol.

  • Power control system like SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) is gathering information using RS232C and low-speed analog communication network. In general, these methods are known as secure because of the secure characteristics from the analog based communication network and serial communication. In this study, first we build DNP communication environment using commercial power control simulator and find some vulnerabilities by testing from the viewpoint of confidentiality, integrity and availability. Consequently, we see the necessity of a valid method for authentication and data encryption when gathering information, even though that is known as secure so far. Discussion of needs of DNP authentication and data encryption is started about several years ago, but there is still nowhere applied that on real environment because the current methods can not fully meet the security requirements of the real environment. This paper suggests a solution to the vulnerabilities, and propose some considerations for enhancing power control system's security level by applying DNP authentication and data encryption.

  • As the power system develops rapidly into a smarter and more flexible state, so must the communication technologies that support it. Machine to machine (M2M) communication in Smart Grid environment has been discussed in European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The power system is not easily replaceable, due to system replacement cost. The M2M gateway is required in other to improve interoperability in M2M environment. The Distributed Network Protocol 3.0 (DNP3.0) is the most important standard in the SCADA systems for the power. It has been used for device data collection/control in Substation Systems, Distribution Automation System. If the DNP3.0 data model is combined with a set of contemporary web protocols, it can result in a major shift. We selected Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) based on RESTful as M2M protocol. It is a specialized web transfer protocol for use with constrained nodes and constrained networks. We have used the OPNET Modeler 17.1 in order to verity the SOAP versus CoAP. In this paper, we propose the CoAP-based M2M Gateway to Distribution Automation system using DNP3.0 in Smart Grid Environment.

Effect of modified-Okbyungpoongsan on mast cell-mediated allergic responses in RBL-2H3 mast cells (가미옥병풍산(加味玉屛風散)의 비만세포에서의 알레르기 반응에 대한 효과 연구)

  • Objectives : In this study, we investigated the effect of modified-Okbyungpoongsan (mOP) on mast cell-mediated allergic response in basophilic leukemia cell line, RBL-2H3 mast cells. Methods : Cells were stimulated with anti-DNP-IgE after the treatment of DNP-HSA (AI/D), and then incubated with different concentrations of mOP (0.1, 0.2, 0.5 and 1 mg/$m{\ell}$) in RBL-2H3 cells. Cell toxicity was determined by WST-1 assay. The degranulation of mast cells was observed by microscope with toluidine blue staining and also the levels of beta-hexosaminidase, histamine and TNF-alpha were measured in culture supernatants by enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay. Results : mOP inhibited anti-DNP-IgE-imduced degranulation of mast cells in RBL-2H3 cells. mOP also significantly decreased the levels of histamine and inflammatory cytokine, TNF-alpha in RBL-2H3 cells, but slightly decreased the level of beta-hexosaminidase. Conclusions : These results indicate that mOP, an oriental prescription could be inhibit the allergic response through suppressing the mast cell activation.

  • D-TRS is a method of wireless communication. This method will be able to use several frequency for multiple user used chanel together. TETRA of D-TRS technology is not rented network. Using TETRA network has the strong point which cost better than CDMA network of rental network. Master server of SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is realtime supervise control and a data acquire the control system or the RTU(Remote Terminal Unit). The present paper is developed and proposal the gateway platform for electronic power backbone network based on D-TRS. This gateway platform is converted DNP3.0 messages with TETRA PDU and converted TETRA PDU with DNP3.0 messages. Master server and FRTU will be able to send and receive DNP3.0 message via TETRA network using this gateway platform.

  • TETRA is the standard of Digital Trunked Radio System suggested by the ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institut ). It is adopted as Electric Power IT Wireless Backbone Network in Korea. Police station and Fire Station are using TETRA network. Currently, Power Automation Protocols are DNP3.0 in Distribution Automation System, DLMS in Auto Metering Infrastructure, IEC61850 in Substation Automation. These protocols are transmissions using CDMA or WCDMA modem. If Power Automation protocol uses TETRA networks, it can be interoperable with the systems in police or fire stations. And it has outstanding ability to handle problems in a disaster situation. So, This paper propose a gateway system of Power Automation which can transmit the power automation protocol using TETRA.

Effect of Terminalia chebula fruit on anaphylaxis by anal therapy

  • The effect of aqueous extract of Terminalia chebula fruit (Combretaceae) (TCAE) by anal administration on mast cell-dependent immediate-type anaphylactic reactions was investigated. TCAE (0.005 to 1 g/kg) inhibited systemic anaphylaxis induced by compound 48/80 in mice. When TCAE was pretreated at the same concentrations with systemic anaphylaxis, the plasma histamine levels were reduced in a dose-dependent manner. TCAE (0.1 and 1 g/kg) also significantly inhibited local anaphylaxis activated by anti-DNP IgE. TCAE (0.001 to 1 mg/ml) dose-dependently inhibited the histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells (RPMC) activated by compound 48/80 or anti-DNP IgE. Moreover, TCAE (0.01 and 0.1 mg/ml) had a significant inhibitory effect on anti-DNP IgE-mediated tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ $(TNF-{\alpha})$ production from RPMC. These results provide evidence that anal therapy of TCAE may be beneficial in the treatment of systemic and local mast cell-dependent anaphylaxis.
