논에서 적응성이 우수한 Vetch류 품종 선발 (Selection of Promising Vetch Cultivars on Paddy Field)

  • 본 시험은 우리나라에 도입된 벳치류를 나주지역과 천안지방에서 재배하여 수량 및 생육특성 조사를 통하여 월동성이 높은 품종을 구명하기 위하여 2004년부터 2006까지 축산과학원과 전라남도농업기술원 답리작 포장에서 수행하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 나주지역에서, 개화기는 자운영이 가장 빨랐으며 Sander2 품종이 5월 20일로 가장 늦었다. 평균 건물함량은 21.7%로 낮게 나타났다. 벳치류의 생산성은 월동성에 따라 많은 차이를 보였는데 Oregon com. 품종의 건물 수량이 5,406 kg/ha로 가장 높았으며 Ostsaat 품종은 4,882 kg/ha를 보여 생산성이 떨어졌다. 두 번째 천안지역에서, 개화기는 자운영이 가장 빨랐으며 Sander2 품종이 5월 25일로 가장 늦었다. 평균 건물함량은 16.9%로 낮게 나타났다. 벳치류의 생산성은 월동성에 따라 많은 차이를 보였는데 Welta과 Ostsaat 품종의 건물 수량이 각각 2,173 kg/ha과 1,883 kg/ha로 높았으며 VV4712 품종은 1,079 kg/ha를 보여 생산성이 떨어졌다. 그리고 나주지역과 천안지역에서 재배되었던 벳치류의 조단백질 함량은 평균 11.5%를 나타내었으며 Sander2 품종이 14.4%로 높았고 자운영의 경우는 19.30%로 가장 높았다. ADF, NDF 그리고 TDN 함량은 평균 26.8%, 42.2% 그리고 67.8% 이었다. 따라서 벳치류 도입은 월동성에 따른 생산성의 차이가 많아 우선적으로 월동성이 고려된 후에 벳치류의 도입이 고려되어야 할 것으로 판단되었다.

  • The experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of the different seeding date on the dry matter yield and chemical composition of oat for forage. The crops wrc sccdcd on August 3l(lirst). Scptember IO(second). and September 20(third seeding date) and were taken on November 24, 1991. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The plant heights were 68, 54 and 40 cm at first, second, and third seeding date, respetively. 2. Dry matter (DM) content decreased with delaying seeding date from first to third seeding date. DM varied from 18.6 to 14.9 %. 3. Leaf weight ratio increased with delaying seeding date from first to third seeding date, varied from 51 to 67 %, but stems decreased from 49 to 33 %. 4. The dry matter yields per ha decreased with delaying seeding date: it was 5.670. 3.960 and 2.310kg at first, second and third seeding date. Significant differences has been obtained among date(P<. 05). 5. The content of crude protein increased with delaying seeding date from first to third seeding date. varied from 16.3 to 22.6%. but NDF and ADF content decreased.

EFFECT OF UREA ON WET RICE STRAW FOR PRESERVING ITS KEEPING QUALITY AND NUTRITIVE VALUE IN CATTLE DIETS

  • About 8 million tons of straw (dry matter) become rotten during the monsoon(June to August) season in Bangladesh. The possibility of preserving straw with urea, under wet condition during dry period (December to May) and its utilization by cattle has been studied. Five tons of fresh and wet(600g DM/kg material) rice straw were preserved for six months, with 5% urea(W/W) in either dome or rectangular shaped heap without any polythene cover. The preservation quality, acceptability and nutritive value of preserved straw were then comparted with that of dry straw in growing cattle. In both types of heaps, straw was excellently preserved having strong ammonia smell,dark brown in colour with no fungal infestation. Urea preservation of straw increased its CP and ADF content. Preserved straw was readily accepted by the animals and they were healthy throughout the experimental period. Compared to dry straw, urea preserved straw had nonsignificantly higher rumen degradability, straw intgake and growth rate. Similarly, digestibilities of DM(p<0.01), OM(p<0.01) & ADF(p<0.01) were significantly higher in the preserved than the dry straw. It was concluded that wet straw with relatively lower moisture(400 to 500 g/kg straw) content can be readily preserved by using urea without being covered with polythene. Whether the same phenomenon occurs in the preservation of fresh and weet rice straw with relatively higher moisture(600 to 700 g/kg straw) content is yet to be determined.

돼지분뇨의 간이건조 처리법과 비료로서의 효과 (Sun Curing Effects and Utilization of Pig Excreta as Fertilizer)

  • Method for the sun curing dehydration of pig excreta by using vinyl house was described. We determined effects of the dehydrated pig excreta on the yields of whole crop corn and proximate chemical composition of whole crop corn. Pig excreta were dehydrated upto 15% of moisture content by the 3-4 days of sun curing dehydration in vinyl house in the summer period. There was no significant difference between the dehydrated pig excreta treatment and the chemical fertilizer treatment on dry matter(DM) content, DM yield and crude protein contents of whole crop corn. Ca and Mg contents by the dehydrated pig excreta treatment were lower than those by thechemical fertilizer treatment. In the contrast, K content by the dehydrated pig excreta treatment was higher than those by the chemical fertilizer treatment. and dehydrated pig excreta treatments were higher in K/Ca+Mg ratio than chemical fertilizer treatment. These results suggested the availability of the sun curing dehydration of pig excreta in vinyl house in small-scale animal industry. In addition, the dehydrated pig excreta treatment showen similar effects to the chemical fertilizer treatment on dry matter yields and contents of chemical composition of whole crop corn. These results suggest that using the sun curing dehydration of pig excreta could reduce the chemical fertilizer cost. However, we need more study to the relationship between the unbalanced mineral contents and animal health.

The Electrochemical Properties and Mechanism of Formation of Anodic Oxide Films on Mg-Al Alloys

  • The electrochemical properties and the mechanism of formation of anodic oxide films on Mg alloys containing 0-15 mass% Al, when anodized in NaOH solution, were investigated by focusing on the effects of anodizing potential, Al content, and anodizing time. The intensity ratio of Mg(OH)₂ in the XRD analysis decreased with increasing applied potential, while that of MgO increased. Mg(OH)₂ was barely detected at 80 V, while MgO was readily detected. The anti-corrosion properties of anodized specimens at each constant potential were better than those of non-anodized specimens. The specimen anodized at an applied potential of 3 V had the best anti-corrosion property. The intensity ratio of the β phase increased with aluminum content in Mg-Al alloys. During anodizing, the active dissolution reaction occurred preferentially in β phase until about 4 min, and then the current density increased gradually until 7 min. The dissolution reaction progressed in α phase, which had a lower Al content. In the anodic polarization test in 0.017 mol·$dm^{-3}$ NaCl and 0.1 mol·$dm^{-3}$ Na₂SO₄ at 298 K, the current density of Mg-15 mass% Al alloy anodized for 10 min increased, since the anodic film that forms on the α phase is a non-compacted film. The anodic film on the α phase at 30 min was a compact film as compared with that at 10 min.

Effects of Aspergillus oryzae Fermentation Extract on Performance of Lactating Cows in the Summer and Winter in Taiwan

  • The aims of this study is to evaluate the effect of Aspergillus oryzae Fermentation Extract (AFE) on the performance of lactating cows in summer (May to July) and winter (December to February). The experiment was a completely randomized design (CRD) and dietary treatments were 1) basal diet without AFE, 2) basal plus 3 g/d AFE into the basal total mixed ration (TMR), 3) basal plus 45.4 mg AFE/kg the ensiling corn silage and 4) AFE inclusion in silage and TMR. Twenty-eight cows from each trial were selected and randomly allocated into the four treatment groups, confined in individual pens, and fed ad libitum for 8 weeks in both seasons of feeding trials. Results showed that AFE inclusion in corn silage significantly improved DM intake by 4.4% and milk yield by 3.1% (p<0.05) during summer. In the winter season, AFE inclusion in the diet significantly improved milk yield by 10%. Direct addition of AFE to the TMR even further significantly improved milk yield over the addition through corn silage by 7.4% in winter (p<0.05). An additive effect of AFE inclusion into TMR and through corn silage was also demonstrated in the winter-feeding. AFE inclusion however, did not improve DM intake during the winter trial. In the summer trial, inclusion of AFE showed an adverse effect on the percentage of milk fat, but did not impact on the milk fat yield. Adding AFE through corn silage showed a trend towards alleviating the negative effects of milk fat from direct AFE inclusion in TMR. The similar trend occurred in the winter trial. The inclusion of AFE through corn silage significantly lowered the milk protein content over direct AFE addition, but did not significantly impacted the milk protein yield in summer. AFE supplementation during the winter season significantly increased milk protein content. Adding AFE to the corn silage significantly increased milk protein content over direct AFE addition in winter although inclusion of AFE significantly decreased total milk solid content in the summer (p<0.005). During the winter season, inclusion of AFE required less DM to produce a unit of milk. Inclusion of AFE into corn silage required less DM, energy and protein to produce a unit of milk. But inclusion of AFE did not alleviate heat stress on the lactating cows.

Effect of Location, Season, and Variety on Yield and Quality of Forage Oat

  • Forage oat (Avena sativa L.) is grown extensively in a double-cropping system on dairy farms. Four oat varieties ('Swan', 'Targa', 'Foothill', and 'Nugene') were evaluated for forage production and forage quality during two growing seasons (spring and autumn) at two locations (central and southern region) in South Korea. The heading stage of four oat varieties was observed during spring, but the autumn season did not produce heading until harvest time except for the 'Swan' variety (early-maturing variety). The heading stage of 'Swan' in both locations was earlier compared to other varieties. The four varieties were resistant to both foliar disease and insects. Lodging resistance was higher during autumn except in 2002 at the central region, and late-maturing varieties ('Foothill' and 'Nugene') have lower lodging resistance. Dry matter (DM) content was significantly different between varieties (p<0.001). Comparing different varieties, 'Swan', an early-maturing variety, was highest in DM content. In DM, total digestible nutrients (TDN) and crude protein (CP) yield, the yield of oat varieties in the southern region was higher than in the central region, and forage yield of the oat varieties in the spring season was higher than during the autumn season. The DM and TDN yield showed significant differences between oat varieties. The CP content of oats grown in the central region (Cheonan) was lower than oats grown in the southern region (Daegu), and the spring season produced oats with lower CP compared to the autumn season. Among the four oat varieties, the CP content of late-maturing varieties was higher than the Swan variety (early-maturing variety). The acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) contents were higher for the varieties grown in Cheonan and during the spring season. The ADF and NDF contents of late-maturing varieties were lower than the early-maturing variety. TDN and relative feed value (RFV) were higher for the varieties grown in Daegu and during the autumn season. Late-maturing variety had higher TDN and RFV than early-maturing variety. Our study showed differences in forage production and forage quality of oats grown in different locations, seasons and varieties. Forage quality as well as forage production was better in the southern region than in the central region. Forage quality was better during autumn, but forage production was better during spring. Late-maturing variety had better forage quality than the early-maturing variety. Therefore, late-maturing varieties are more suitable for use in the southern region.

경운방법 및 비료종류가 이탈리안 라이그라스의 사초수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Tillage System and Fertilizer Type on the Forage Yield and Quality of Italian Ryegrass)

  • 경운방법과 비료종류를 달리하였을때 이탈리안 라이그라스의 사료수량과 품질을 비교하기 위하여 수행하였다. 본 시험은 $2{\times}2=4$ 요인시험으로 경운방법은 관행(경운과 로터리)과 무경을 두었으며, 비료종류는 화학비료와 퇴비를 두었다. 이탈리안 라이그라스의 초장, 건물률, 건물수량, TDN 수량 및 CP 수량은 경운방법에서 처리간에 유의적인 차이가 있었다. 특히 무경운이 관행경운(경운+로터리)보다 건물수량, TDN 수량 및 CP 수량이 많았다. 그러나 비료의 종류에서는 처리간의 사초 생산성의 차이가 없었다. 이탈리안 라이그라스의 조단백질 함량은 처리간에 차이가 없었다. 한편 ADF 및 NDF 함량에서는 무경운이 경운보다 많았으나 TDN 및 RFV 함량은 경운이 무경운보다 높았다. 비료의 종류에서 ADF 함량은 퇴비구가 높았으나 TDN 함량은 화학비료가 높았다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 이탈리안 라이그라스에서 경운방법은 무경운이 관행경운보다 수량은 많으나 품질은 낮았다. 한편 비료의 종류에서는 사초수량의 차이는 없고 품질 차이도 적었다.

제주지역에서 건물 함량이 다른 돈분 액비 시용이 이탈리안 라이그라스, 호밀 및 귀리의 수량, 사료가치 및 토양 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dry Matter Content of Liquid Swine Manure on Dry Matter Yield and Nutritive Value of Italian Ryegrass, Rye and Oat, and the Chemical Characteristics of Soil in Jeju)

  • 본 연구는 제주도내에서 생산되고 있는 돈분 액비의 건물수준을 달리하여 동계작물에 시용 했을시 사초의 생산성과 사료가치 및 토양특성에 미치는 영향을 구명하려고 수행되었다. 처리는 이탈리안 라이그라스, 호밀 및 귀리에 무비구(TO), 화학비료구(T1) 그리고 2개 건물수준을 가진 돈분 액비구(DM 2.7 %=T2, DM 5.9%=T3)를 분할구배치법으로 하였다. 5.9%의 건물이 함유된 돈분 액비의 시용은 다른 처리에 비하여 세 작물 모두에서 가장 높은 건물 생산성을 보였다(p<0.01). 조단백질 함량(%)과 조단백질 생산량(kg/ha)은 다른 초종에 비하여 호밀에서 가장 높았다(p<0.01), K와 Mg 함량은 다른 초종에서보다 호밀에서 더 높았다(p<0.01). 반면 Na 함량은 다른 초종에서 보다 이탈리안 라이그라스에서 더 높았다(p<0.01). 호밀의 Mg 함량은 다른 초종 보다는 더 높았으며(p<0.01), 특히 2.7% 건물이 함유된 돈분 액비 시용구에서 타 초종보다 높았다(p<0.05). 토양 중 $NO_3-N$ 함량은 다른 작물보다 호밀에서 더 낮았으며(p<0.05), 비료 종류별로는 화학비료구가 더 높았다(p<0.05). 이상의 연구결과를 종합해보면 이탈리안 라이그라스나 귀리보다 겨울철 생육이 좋고 비료 의 이용성이 좋은 호밀이 통계작물로는 좋았다. 그리고 비료는 DM 5.9%의 돈분액비가 DM 2.7%의 돈분액비에 비해 모든 작물의 생산성이 가장 높았다. 또한 $NO_3-N$의 토양 내 함량도 DM 2.7% 돈분액비나 화학비료 표준구보다 낮았다. 그러나 양돈농가에서는 돈사 청소를 위해 물의 사용을 제한하여 액비중의 건물함량을 높여야 하고, 이러한 방법은 환경오염 문제를 일으키지 않도록 주의를 기울여야 한다.s}20cm$에 대해 $0.941{\pm}0.008,\;1.032{\pm}0.004,\;1.049{\pm}0.014$이다. 치료 계획용 시스템과 수 계산에 의한 MU값의 계산 비교결과 7개 기관의 값이 허용오차 범위를 벗어났다. 쐐기를 제외한 8가지 조건에서 계산된 평균 MU값들은 SAD 조건으로 출력 교정된 장비가 SSD 조건으로 교정된 장비에 비해 6 MV 광자선은 3 MU, 10 MV 광자선은 5 MU 정도 더 높았다. 쐐기를 사용할 경우 MU값은 Varian사 장비와 Siemens사의 장비에 따라 다르고 동일 각의 쐐기를 사용할 경우 Siemens사의 쐐기를 사용할 때 MU값이 크다. 결론: 수집된 광자선 빔 데이터를 분석하여 빔데이터의 정확성과 치료계획용 시스템의 계산 정확성을 대략적으로 점검 할 수 있는 기준 값을 제시하였다.동결이 요구되며 본 연구에서 이용된 OPS 동결 방법이 폭넓게 활용될 것으로 사료된다.며 이 때가 최상의 교배 적기로 사료되며, 혈장 progesterone농도가 4.0 ng/ml 이상으로 증가한 날(Bay 0)을 기준으로 하였을 때부터 CI는 혈장 estradiol-$17{\beta}$ peak 후 1일째인 최고치를 나타내었고, CI peak 후 1일째인 Day 0에 혈장 progesterone 농도가 최초로 4.0 ng/ml 이상으로 증가하여 CI가 90% 이상으로 지속된 시기가 최상의 교배 적기임이 확인되었다. 따라서 혈장 progesterone농도 측정으로 정확한 배란 시기 및 교배 적기를 판정할 수 있으나, 시설비가 저렴하고 검사 방법이 간단한 질 세포 검사가 Shih-tzu 견에서 발정 주기, 교배 적기 및 배란 시기의 판정에 응용될 수 있음을 시사하는 결과라고 사료된다.골계가 높은

  • This study was investigated the herbage productivity and nutrient contents of corn (Suweon 19 and Kwanganok) and sweet sorghum (Ramiki sorgo and Silage sorgo) at the stage of maturity (10-DBS, silking, milky and dough stages) to identify the utility value of sweet sorghum as a substituting crop for corn. The silage materials (dough stage) were chopped and were storaged for 90 days in polyethlene bag with O.lmm thickness. Chemical composition, nitrogen content and in vitm dry matter digestibility were evaluated. Also, daily intake and palatability were checked in the feeding trial with four male sheep in average weight about 57kg. Both fresh and dry matter yield of corn and sweet sorghum were increased as the maturity processed (P< 0.05), and sweet sorghum showed higher total yield potential than corn. Crude protein content of the cultivars was decreased as the maturity was processed (P< 0.05). Neutral detergent fiber (NDF) content of the cultivars, in general, showed highest at silking stage, followed by 10 days before silking (10-DBS), and milky and dough stages (Pi0.05) in order. Acid detergent fiber (ADF) content was increased as the maturity processed, and it showed the highest value at milk stage. However, the contents of ADF in sorghum plant was decreased during the late maturity. Crude protein content of the silage was not significantly different among cultivars used, while NDF content was highest in Ramiki sorgo, followed by Silage sorgo, Kwanganok and Suweon 19. In v i m DM digestibility of the silage was highest in Kwanganok, followed by Suweon 19, Silage sorgo and Ramiki sorgo. Total N content of the silage was highest in Ramiki sorgo, followed by Suweon 19, Silage sorgo and Kwanganok. DM intake of the silage was highest in Ramiki sorgo, followed by Suweon 19, Silage sorgo and Kwanganok and it was closely related to the palatability value.
