  • Various nondestructive prospecting method were applied to detect the flaws of concrete structure, but the satisfactory result could not be obtained, yet. Fracture and cavities existing concrete structure will have a bad effect on physical and mechanical characteristic of concrete. This study deal with detection of flaws using seismic first arrival and various inversion method in theoretical model. And ultrasonic seismic method is tried to experimental model to detect fracture and cavity.

  • In the analysis of repeated measurements, multivariate regression models that account for the correlations among the observations from the same subject are widely used. Like the usual univariate regression models, these multivariate regression models also need some model diagnostic procedures. In this paper, we propose a simple graphical method to detect outliers and to investigate the goodness of model fit in repeated measures data. The graphical method is based on the quantile-quantile(Q-Q) plots of the $X^2$ distribution and the standard normal distribution. We also propose diagnostic measures to detect influential observations. The proposed method is illustrated using two examples.

  • This paper presents a fault detection and isolation(FDI) method based on Ceneralized Likelihood Ratio(GLR) test for the tightly coupled INS/GPS. State and measurement GLR tests detect INS or GPS fault. Once the fault is detected, Multi-hypothesized GLR scheme performs the fault isolation between INS and GPS and find which satellite malfunctions. Simulation results show that the GLR method is effective enough to detect and isolate a fault of the integrated navigation system.

  • This study is about fault detection and fault area detection of LV circuit in Cab Cubicle system which have control of train to keep safety in High Speed Train. LV circuit is operated with diagnosis system like safety system. In this paper, we suggest a design and an implementation method to detect fault or to detect fault area automatically about LV circuit. The implemented system is tested successfully after implementation of some function. We expect reduction to diagnosis area or repair time by fault area module

  • It is very import role to increase communication quality that fast detection of random sequence synchronization fail in synchronous stream cipher system using initial synchronization mode. Generally it sends additional information to detect random sequency synchronization fail. But we can't transmit additional informations to decide synchronization fail in a system using RMVD to correct channel error. In this paper we propose a method to detect synchronization fail in the receiver even though a system using RMVD has no margin to send additional information, For detecting random sequency synchronization fail we decipher receiver data analyze probability of transition rate for pre-determined period and decide synchronization fail using calculated transition rate probability. This proposed method is fast very reliable and robust in noisy channel and is easily implemented with hardware.

  • Detection of cracks in concrete beams using optical fiber sensors is useful for monitoring of concrete structures. In this study, optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) is used to detect cracks. Resolution of OTDR is the main contributor to detect cracks in concrete structures. The OTDR used in this study can detect cracks with high precision of 0.5 m. Two mortar beams, reinforced with a 19 mm diameter steel bar, are made with the dimensions of 140 mm (width) ${\times}$ 200 mm (depth) ${\times}$ 2.000 mm (length). Two fibers are embedded inside each beam and two fibers are attached under the beams. The application of measurement system which consists of fiber and FC/PC connecter is studied. For this, theory of optics, resolution, crack moment, and size of specimens are investigated. From the measured data, it is verified that fibers which are attached under the beam can detect the crack in beams effectively. However, fibers embedded inside the beam are unable to detect cracks in beams using the OTDR in this study.

Digital Position Measurement with MLPE of PET detector using a Small Number of Photosensors (적은 수의 광센서를 사용한 PET 검출기의 최대우도함수를 적용한 디지털 위치 측정)

  • A detector using a small number of photosensors was designed, and the position of a scintillation pixel that interacted with gamma rays through a maximum likelihood position estimation(MLPE) was measured as a digital position. For this purpose, simulation was performed using DETECT2000, which can simulate the movement of light within the scintillator, and the accuracy of position measurement was evaluated. A detector was configured using a 6 × 6 scintillation pixel array and 4 photosensors, and a gamma ray event was generated at the center of each scintillation pixel to create a look-up table through the ratio of acquired light. The gamma-ray event generated at the new position was applied as the input value of the MLPE, and the positiion of the scintillation pixel was converted into a digital positiion after comparison with the look-up table. All scintillation pixels were evaluated, and as a result, a high accuracy of 99.1% was obtained. When this method is applied to the currently usesd system, it is concidered that the process of determining the position of the scintillation pixel will be simplified.
