In this paper, an informed watermarking algorithm is proposed that aids in concealing packet loss errors in video communications. This watermark-based error concealment (WEC) method embeds a low resolution version of the video frame inside itself as watermark data. At the receiver, the extracted watermark is used as a reference for error concealment. The proposed DCT-based algorithm employs informed watermarking techniques in order to minimize the distortion of host frames. At the encoder, a predictive feedback loop is employed which helps to adjust the strength of the data embedding. Furthermore, the distortion of the DCT coefficients introduced in the embedding can be removed to a considerable extent, by employing bit-sign adaptivity. Simulation results on standard video sequences show that the proposed informed WEC scheme has an advantage of 3$\sim$4 dB in PSNR over non-informed WEC and that even a non-informed WEC is still superior to conventional error concealment techniques.
Video watermarking technologies are classified into types of four kinds. The first type is to embed the watermark into a raw video signal and to code the watermarked video signal. Most of video watermarking technologies fall into the category of this type. The second type is to apply watermarking to the coding process, such as block DCT and quantization. The third is to directly embed the watermark into the compressed bitstream itself. Generally, it is referred as labelling rather than watermarking. Finally, the fourth is to embed the water mark into MPEG motion vector. This type has the difficulty in real-time process because of the high complexity and has the blocking effects because of DCT-based on coder. In this paper, we proposed the digital video watermarking that embed the watermark in SPIHT video code for I-frame using motion vector analysis. This method can remove the blocking effect occurred at the DCT-based on coder and obtain video data that has progressive transmission property. The proposed method is to select the region for the watermark embedding in I frame using motion vector estimated from the previous P or B frame. And then, it is to perform DWT and embed the watermark based on HVS into the wavelet coefficients in the same subband of DWT as the motion vector direction. Finally, the watermarked video bitstream is obtained by the SPIHT coder. The experimental results verified that the proposed method has the invisibility from the objective and subjective image quality and the robustness against the various SPIHT compression and MPEG re-code.

The proposed method inserts a watermark information not mto a whole Image region but only into regions of interest(ROIs) To extract the ROIs, we divide an original Image into sub-blocks and use modified Shi-Kuo Chang's PIM(picture information measure) as the criteria to select the ROIs Considering the directional information and frequency bands, we insert the watermark information into sub-blocks m the DCT domain. The proposed method can reduce the distortion in comparison With the other methods which utilize the whole Image as an nor The proposed method makes much less damaged Images m comparison to the other methods And those Images processed by the proposed algorithm are more robust to the changes caused by signal processing operations such as resampling, clipping. noise, and so on Also due to the block-based watermark insertion, the proposed method has the robustness to the Image compression processes such as JPEG and MPEG.
In this paper, a new approach is proposed for the error detection dedicated to MPEG-4 video coding by using the digital watermarking. In the process of encoding, the proposed scheme abstracts the macroblock features of headers, motion vectors, and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coefficients, which are embedded in the quantized DCT coefficients as the digital watermarks. The decoder performs the accurate error detection through the watermark extraction. Simulation results demonstrate that the error detection ability of the proposed approach can be significantly enhanced, and that digital watermark embedding incurs little degradation to the picture quality.

In this paper, we propose an robust invisible watermarking method using wavelet transform and singular value decomposition for the ownership protection. of images. For this method, after we decompose the original image in three level using wavelet transform, we use singular value decomposition based key depended watermark insertion method in the lowest band $LL_3.$ And we also watermark using DCT for extraction of watermark and verification of robustness. In the experiments, we found that it had a good quality and robustness in attack such as compression, image processing, geometric transformation and noises. Especially, we know that this method have very high extraction ratio against nose and JPEG compression. And Digimarc's method can not extract watermark in 80 percent compression ratio of JPEG, but the proposed method can extract well.
In this paper, we propose an improved method of watermarking to increase the invisibility of a watermark and robustness against attacks for the purpose of removing the embedded watermark. The proposed method adaptively selects DCT blocks and determines position and intensity for watermarking based on the characteristics of human visual system. The used features are texture, luminance and contrast. We show the experimental results against image processing attacks such as cropping, image enhancement, low pass filtering, and JPEG compression, and then discuss the performance of the proposed method.

Digital watermarking techniques are attracting attention as a proper solution to protect copyright for multimedia data. This paper proposes a new audio watermarking method based on Discrete Cosine Transformation (DCT) and Discrete Wavelet Transformation (DWT) for copyright protection. In our proposed watermarking method, the original audio is transformed into DCT domain and divided into two parts. Synchronization code is applied on the signal in first part and 2 levels DWT domain is applied on the signal in second part. The absolute value of DWT coefficient is divided into arbitrary number of segments and calculates the energy of each segment and middle peak. Watermarks are then embedded into each middle peak. Watermarks are extracted by performing the inverse operation of watermark embedding process. Experimental results show that the hidden watermark data is robust to re-sampling, low-pass filtering, re-quantization, MP3 compression, cropping, echo addition, delay, and pitch shifting, amplitude change. Performance analysis of the proposed scheme shows low error probability rates.
In this paper, the decision method of optimal sub-band which is supposed to embedded watermark incorporating fuzzy inference into transform-based watermarking is proposed. After performing the DCT, maximum variation of human visual properties, such as text degree, contrast sensitivity function is calculated, and by using these, membership function is generated. After embedding the watermark to the selected bands obtained from fuzzy inference, performance of imperceptibility and robustness are evaluated. In order to testify the proposed scheme, such attacks as JPEG, filtering, cropping are utilized. and in addition, by using an AWGN channel of OFDM/QPSK system, PSNR as well as correlation are calculated, and finally evaluated the performance.

A combined DWT and DCT based watermarking technique of low frequency watermarking with weighted correction is proposed. The DWT has excellent spatial localization, frequency spread and multi-resolution characteristics, which are similar to the theoretical models of the human visual system (HVS). The DCT based watermarking techniques offer compression while DWT based watermarking techniques offer scalability. These desirable properties are used in this combined watermarking technique. In the proposed method watermark bits are embedded in the low frequency band of each DCT block of selected DWT sub-band. The weighted correction is also used to improve the imperceptibility. The extracting procedure reverses the embedding operations without the reference of the original image. Compared with the similar approach by DCT based approach and DWT based approach, the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm apparently preserves superiori mage quality and robustness under various attacks such as JPEG compression, cropping, sharping, contrast adjustments and so on.

In this paper, we proposed robust blind watermarking algorithm using texture block coefficient based on discrete cosine transform(DCT). The proposed method embedded all of watermark signals into DC component of $8\times8$ block DCT in order to robust various external attack The texture block coefficient was composed absolute value of DCT coefficients. Experiment showed that the proposed method better than conventional methods in the invisibility and various attack such as dithering, cropping, and scaling.
