  • This paper presents a study on a self oscillating dc/dc converter with low cost, high power density. This converter only consists of power filter, switch and comparater and time delay reduction parts. But it has better characteristics than the conventional self-oscillating dc/dc converter. And it can be made by a few devices and can be smaller size. These type of converters find their applications in many industrial equipments. And the performances of the proposed system are verified through expriment.

  • 본 논문에서는 ESS용 양방향 소프트스위칭 DC-DC 컨버터의 과도상태개선을 위한 제어기법을 제안한다. 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터를 소프트스위칭하기 위해 DCM으로 동작시킬 경우 스위치의 턴오프시 손실이 가장 많이 발생하므로 이를 저감하기 위해 ZVS 턴오프 커패시터를 스위치에 추가한다. 하지만 정상상태와 달리 초기구동을 하거나 충 방전 모드전환의 경우에는 ZVS 턴오프 커패시터로 인해 오히려 과도상태특성이 나빠질 수 있다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 ZVS 턴오프 커패시터로 인해 발생하는 과도상태의 문제점을 분석하고 제어기법을 제안하였으며 제안하는 제어기법의 타당성을 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, bi-directional DC/DC converter using a LC series resonant converter is proposed. A proposed converter is consisted by adding LC series resonant tank into a conventional bi-directional DC/DC converter and performs soft-switching at both boost and buck mode. A LC series resonance occurs in whole operation mode and switching point is determined by specific condition. Through the theoretical analysis and simulation results, operation modes and characteristics of the proposed topology is verified.

  • This paper presents a novel non-resonant PWM DC-DC converter for X-ray high-voltage power generator using the parasitic impedances of the high-voltage high-frequency link transformer with its output high-voltage control scheme and steady-state characteristics compared to the conventional series-parallel resonant DC-DC converter. The key point of this approach is to evaluate effectiveness of reduction of the turn ratio of the high-voltage high-frequency transformer on improvements in power conversion efficiency and the power factor applying a boost AC-DC converter as DC voltage source, especially in the long exposure term and light output load ranges.

  • In this paper, we studied reduction characteristics of NOx gas produced from diesel engine combustion using by point-plane electrode. Here, input voltage forms were types of three [DC, AC, DC Positive pulse] and NOx gas of 1700ppm was composed of NO 1665ppm, $NO_2$ 35ppm on balance of $N_2$. We investigated NOx reduction characteristics as various of parameters, are gas flow rate, input voltage form and, humidity. From the results of study, reduction characteristics of NOx exhibited good when gas flow rate was small, input voltage was DC and much humidity were contained to NOx gas.

  • This study presents an investigation of the characteristics of piezoelectric sensors whose main utilization is to measure impact pressure. The piezoelectric sensors were tested from several points of view. Their characteristics were investigated for repeatability, the effect of the diameter, temperature effect, water purity, flush mounting, and AC and DC coupling. Out of these, it was revealed that the temperature effect is very significant. The characteristics of the AC and DC coupling are also very important in understanding the time history of the impact pressure.

  • Hydrothermal synthesis technique could be carried out for growth of ZnO nanowires at relatively low process temperature, and it could be freely utilized with various substrates for fabrication process of functional electronic devices. However, it has also a demerit of relatively slow growth characteristics of the resulting ZnO nanowires. In this paper, an external DC bias of positive and negative 0.5 [V] was applied in the hydrothermal synthesis process for 2~8 [h] to prepare ZnO nanowires on a seed layer of AZO with high electrical conductivity. Growth characteristics of the synthesized ZnO nanowires were analyzed by FE-SEM. Material property of the grown ZnO nanowires was examined by PL analysis. The ZnO nanowires grown with positive bias revealed distinctively enhanced growth characteristics, and they showed a typical material property of ZnO.

태양광 시스템의 일사량과 모듈온도에 따른 I-V 및 P-V 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Photovoltaic I-V and P-V According to the Irradiation and Module Temperature)

  • Solar, as an ideal renewable energy, it has inexhaustible, clean and safe characteristics. In order to improve the photovoltaic system efficiency and utilize the solar energy more fully, and the DC current and DC power vary with the irradiation and module temperature, it is necessary to study the characteristics of photovoltaic I-V and P-V according to the external factors. This paper presents the analysis of characteristics of photovoltaic I-V and P-V according to the irradiation and the module temperature. The results show that the DC current and the DC power of the photovoltaic system are increased along with the increasing values of irradiation.

교류 구동 방법에 의한 유기전계발광소자 발광 특성의 모델 (Model of Organic Light Emitting Device Emission Characteristics with Alternating Current Driving Method)

  • This paper proposes a mathematical model that can calculate the luminescence characteristics driven by alternating current (AC) power using the current-voltage-luminance (I-V-L) properties of organic light emitting devices (OLED) driven by direct current power. Fluorescent OLEDs are manufactured to verify the model, and I-V-L characteristics driven by DC and AC are measured. The current efficiency of DC driven OLED can be divided into three sections. Region 1 is a section where the recombination efficiency increases as the carrier reaches the emission layer in proportion to the increase of the DC voltage. Region 2 is a section in which the maximum luminous efficiency is stably maintained. Region 3 is a section where the luminous efficiency decreases due to excess carriers. Therefore, the fitting equation is derived by dividing the current density and luminance of the DC driven OLED into three regions, and the current density and luminance of the AC driven OLED are calculated from the fitting equation. As a result, the measured and calculated values of the AC driving I-V-L characteristics show deviations of 4.7% for current density, 2.9 % for luminance, and 1.9 % for luminous efficiency.

  • This paper presents a high-frequency ZVS-PWM boost chopper-fed DC-DC converter with a single active auxiliary edge-resonant snubber which is used for power conditioner such as solar photovoltaic generation and fuel cell generation. The experimental results of boost chopper fed ZVS-PWM DC-DC converter are evaluated. In audition to its switching voltage and current waveforms, and the switching v-i trajectory of the power devices are discussed and compared with the conventional hard switching DC-DC converter treated here. The temperature performance of IGBT module,, efficiency, and EMI noise characteristics of this ZVS-PWM DC-DC converter using IGBTs are measured and evaluated from an experimental point of view.
