  • 대규모 DC 전력 시스템에서는 회로차단기(circuit break)와 계전기(relay)로 대표되는 기존의 전자기적 회로차단기가 현재 산업 전 분야에 널리 사용 되고 있으나, 최근에는 고 신뢰성, 원격제어능력, 과부하와 단락전류 보호, 적은 열손실(dissipation) 등의 장점을 가지고 있는 원격전력제어기(Remote Solid State Power controller)를 MOSFET 반도체 스위칭 소자를 이용하여 개발하고 있는 추세이며 고품질을 요구하는 시스템에서는 필수적인 부품이 되어가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 회로차단기와 계전기의 기능을 통합한 원격전력제어장치의 $I^2T$ 커브에 대한 이론 분석과 전체 회로 동작에 대한 시뮬레이션 분석을 수행한다.

릴레이 제어법을 이용한 유연 판상체의 정전부상에 관한 연구 (Electrostatic Suspension System of Flexible Objects using Relay Feedback Control)

  • A design and control of electrostatic suspension system for flexible objects is presented. A number of electrode pairs of which the number depends on the object flexibility are positioned above the object and the voltages applied to each electrode pair are controlled, independently on the others, on the basis of the gap length. To implement the system with low cost and compactness, switched-voltage control scheme that is based on the relay feedback control is utilized. Relay feedback control method deploys only a single high-voltage power supply that can deliver a DC voltage of positive and/or negative polarity and thus high voltage amplifiers that are costly and bulky are not needed any more. It is shown that despite the inherent limit cycle property of the relay feedback based control, an excellent performance in vibration suppression is attained due to the presence of a relatively large squeeze film damping originating from the electrodes and levitated object. Employing fourteen electrode pairs, a thin aluminum plate with a thickness of 0.1 mm has been suspended at a gap length of 0.75mm.

  • In the manufacture of flat panel display devices, there is a strong demand for contactless glass panel handling devices that can manipulate a glass panel without contaminating or damaging it. To fulfill this requirement, an electrostatic suspension device far glass panels where the glass panel is supported by electrostatic forces without any mechanical contact is proposed. To implement the system with low cost and compactness, switched-voltage control scheme that is based on the relay feedback control is utilized. Relay feedback control method deploys only a single high-voltage power supply that can deliver a DC voltage of positive and/or negative polarity and thus high voltage amplifiers that are costly and bulky are not needed any more. It is shown that despite the inherent limit cycle property of the relay feedback based control, an excellent performance in vibration suppression is attained due to the presence of a relatively large squeeze film damping originating from the electrodes and levitated object. Using this scheme, a $100{\times}100mm^2$ glass panel was levitated stably with airgap variation decreasing down to $1\;{\mu}m$ at an airgap of $100\;{\mu}m$.

저 전력 능동형 RFID 기반 대기 전력 제어 모듈 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Standby Power Control Module based on Low Power Active RFID)

  • 본 논문에서는 능동형 RFID 방식의 태그와 리더로 구성된 대기 전력 제어 모듈을 설계하고 구현한다. 태그와 리더는 C8051 MCU와 CC2500으로 구성된 RF모듈을 내장하고 있으며 리더에는 대기 전력 제어 콘센트가 부착되어 있다. 리더는 송신 패킷 인식 여부에 따라 릴레이를 제어한 후 전원 공급을 차단하여 대기 전력으로 소비되는 전력을 감소시키며 저 전력 패킷 예측 알고리즘이 적용되어 태그와 리더의 전력 소모를 낮추었다. 실험 결과, 리더의 패킷 송, 수신 여부에 따라 대기 전력 제어 콘센트의 릴레이를 동작시켜 대기 전력을 제어할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 RSSI값에 따라 태그와 리더 사이의 동작 거리 설정이 가능하며, 콘센트의 대기 시간 동안 리더에서 작동하는 수신 Duty Cycle을 설정함으로써 리더에 소모되는 전력을 절감할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This paper describes a hybrid multi-output three-level DC/DC converter suitable for a wide, high-input voltage range of an auxiliary power supply for a high-power photovoltaic generating system. In a high-power photovoltaic generating system, the solar panel output voltage depends on solar radiation quantity and varies from 450Vdc to 1100Vdc. The proposed hybrid multi-output three-level DC/DC converter, which is an auxiliary power supply, would be used as power source for control printed circuit boards and relay and cooling fans in a high-power photovoltaic generating system. The proposed multi-output ($24V_{DC}/30A$, $230V_{DC}/5A$) hybrid three-level boost converter, which uses an energy recovery snubber, is controlled by variable-frequency and phase-shifted modulations and can achieve zero-voltage switching with all operating conditions of input voltage and load range. Experimental results of a 2kW prototype are evaluated and implemented to verify the performance of the proposed converter.

Wavelet 변환을 이용한 디지털 거리계전 알고리즘 (A Digital Distance Relaying Algorithm using a Wavelet Transformation)

  • A high speed digital distance relaying algorithm based on a Wavelet Transformation is proposed. To obtain stable phasor values very quickly, first, a lowpass filter which has low cutoff frequency is used. Secondly, db2(Daubechies 2) Wavelet which has the data window of 4 samples is used. A FIR filter which removes the DC-offset component in current relaying signals is applied. In accordance with a series of tests, the operation time of the relaying algorithm is less than 3/4 cycles after faults in a 80 [km], 154[kV], 60[Hz] over-head transmission line system.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic property of ground overvoltage relay in large turbine generator. Relay operation is based on detecting the fundamental voltages originating from the generator. Calculations of fault voltage and current are reviewed for the neutral ground resistance. The frequency, ampitude and waveform of individual harmonics were measured using power quality analyzer and memory hi-corder at the secondary side of ground potential transformer. The ac and dc high-potential tests were applied to evaluate the condition of generator, main and auxiliary transformer, isolated phase bus, potential transformer, surge capacitor and arrester.

  • Power system fault transient signals are highly distorted due to the presence of high frequency components in the voltage and current signals and an exponentially decaying dc-offset component in the current signals. Modern protective relays have to make reliable fast decisions about the nature of a fault in the presence of such transients. To use a dc-offset removing filter makes relay algorithms much fast and reliable for detecting a fault. In this paper, several dc-offset removing filters are described, and characteristics of them are compared.

  • A DC railway system has low feeder voltage, The fault current can be smaller than the current of load starting. So it is important to discriminate between the small fault current and the load starting current. The load starting current increases step by step but the fault current increases all at once. So the type of ${\Delta}I$ relay(50F) was developed using the different characteristics between the load starting current and the fault current. As for the load starting current, the time constant of load current at each step is much smaller than that of the fault current. First, to detect faults in DC railway systems, an algorithm using the time constant calculated by the method of least squares is presented in this paper. Secondly, to compose a protection scheme for DC railway systems is presented in this paper.

병행 2회선 송전선로의 개선된 거리계전기법 (Advanced Distance Relaying of on a Double Circuit Transmission Line)

  • This paper proposes an advanced distance relaying based on the DC offset removal filter to minimize the effects of DC offset on a double circuit transmission line. The proposed DC offset removal filter uses only one cycle of data for phasor extraction computation, which does not need to preset the time constant of the DC offset component. This proposed distance relaying uses not only the residual current of the faulted circuit but also mutual current of the healthy adjacent circuit. A series of off-line test results using ATP simulation data show the effectiveness of the an advanced distance relaying.
