  • 최근 각종 산업기기 및 자동화기기에는 회전자가 영구자석으로 구성된 브러시리스 전동기의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 회전자가 영구자석으로 이루어진 BLDC 전동기의 경우 회전자 위치 판별 센서는 필수 요소이다. 그러나 센서(엔코더, 레졸버등)를 사용할 경우 크기 증가, 비용 상승 등의 원인으로 작용한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 PM BLDC 전동기의 속도제어를 수행함에 있어 기존의 엔코더와 Hall-IC 3개를 이용하지 않고, 두개를 이용하여 회전자의 위치를 판별함과 동시에 속도 센서를 대신하여 사용할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 그 결과 성능은 동일하고, 구동회로의 크기와 제조 단가를 낮출 수 있는 효과를 얻었다.

  • 전기식 파워 스티어링(EPS)은 유압식 파워스티어링에 비해 연비가 높고 스티어링 느낌이 좋으며 체적이 작으므로 자동차에 많이 적용되고 있다. 몇 년 전까지 대부분의 EPS 시스템에는 제어가 쉽고 하드웨어 구조가 간단한 영구자석 DC 모터가 주로 적용되었으나 최근에는 효율이 높고 수명이 긴 BLAC 모터가 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최근에 발표된 논문들을 기초로 EPS 시스템의 구조 및 BLAC 모터와 제어기술에 대해 고찰한다. 또한 스티어링 느낌을 좋게 하기 위한 토크리플 저감 및 안전을 위한 고장검출 알고리즘에 대해서도 검토한다.

  • This paper presents a speed controller method based on the disturbance torque observer of high performance brushless DC (BLDC) motor drives. In case of the speed control of robot arms and tracking applications with lower stiffness, we cannot design the speed controller gain to be very large from tile viewpoint of the system stability. Thus, the feedforward compensator using disturbance torque observer was proposed. This method can improve the speed characteristic without increasing the speed controller gain. The enhanced speed control performance can be achieved and the speed response against the disturbance torque can be Improved for high-performance BLDC motor drive systems in which the bandwidth of tile speed controller cannot be made large enough. Consequently, speed control for high-performance BLDC motor drives become improved. The simulation results for BLDC motor drive systems confirm the validity of the proposed method.

FCEV 구동용 DC-DC 컨버터 가변 DC-link 전압 제어에 의한 PWM 인버터의 전류 왜곡 저감 (Reduction of Current Distortion in PWM Inverter by Variable DC-link Voltage of DC-DC Converter for FCEV)

  • A design and control method of DC/DC converter, which can control variable DC-link voltage to drive a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), is proposed in this study. Given that a fuel cell has low-voltage and high-current characteristics, the required voltage for operating motor must be output through the DC/DC boost converter in the system to drive an FCEV. The proposed converter can choose the output voltage of battery or fuel cell in consideration of the driving mode, as well as control DC-link voltage in accordance with the back electromotive force. The switching lag-time to prevent shortage of pulse-width modulation inverter arms makes distorted current waveform caused by voltage distortion. Through this control method, the proposed converter can reduce the output voltage distortion and current ripple of the inverter, thereby reducing the distorted torque. Simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the reliability of the proposed DC/DC converter.

항공무장 안정성 향상을 위한 날개 전개 구동기의 작동로직 설계 (Deployment Actuator Logic Design for Enhancing Aircraft Armament Stability)

  • For the high reliability of guidance weapon, it is important to maintain the stable supply voltage for guidance system while the bomb is gliding. However, the DC motor drive for guidance control in the low temperature can lead to the critical voltage drop due to a large inrush current. In this paper, we propose the wing deployment logic design to enhance the guidance system stability. To derive the stable drive logic based on PWM, we controlled the duty cycles for input voltage of DC motor in low temperature. The initial duty cycle was set to 40 % to relieve the inrush current. Moreover, the proper time, which is less than 1 second for controlling duty cycles, was determined by the iterative wing deployments of guidance kit. Finally, the validity of proposed logic was confirmed from the result the maximum voltage drop for the wing deployment was decreased by 23 %.

  • Brushless DC Motor(PM BLDCM) is widely used in industrial applications due to its high efficiency and power density. In order to increase reliability and reduce system cost, this paper studies particularly applicable method for sensorless PM BLDCM drive system. The resulting third harmonic signal keeps a constant phase relationship with the rotor flux for any motor speed and load condition, and is practically free of noise that can be introduced by the inverter switching, making this a robust sensing method. As a result, the method described here is not sensitive to filtering delays, allowing the motor to achieve a good performance over a wide speed range. In addition, a simple starting method and a speed estimation approach are also proposed.

  • 본 논문은 플래너 버스바가 적용된 BLDC 전동기 드라이브 시스템에서, 직류단 캐패시터 전단 전류를 이용한 BLDC 전동기의 상전류 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 플래너 버스바는 기생 인덕턴스의 크기를 최소화하여 스위칭 시 스파크에 의한 소자 파손을 방지하고, EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) 특성을 향상시킨다. 하지만 플래너 버스바의 장점을 극대화하기 위해서는 직류단 캐패시터의 전단에 전류 센서를 설치할 수밖에 없는 구조적 제약이 따른다. 직류단 캐패시터 전단에 설치된 전류 센서는 캐패시터에 흐르는 전류와 인버터 입력전류의 합을 측정하게 된다. 따라서 직류단 캐패시터 전단 전류로부터 인버터의 입력전류를 정확하게 추출하는 것이 BLDC 전동기의 전류 제어를 위해서는 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 BLDC 전동기의 온/오프 구간 동안의 등가 회로를 분석하여 캐패시터 전단 전류로부터 인버터 입력전류를 추정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 실험을 통해 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • The water pumping system uses a variable speed single phase induction motor driven a centrifugal pump by field oriented control(FOC) inverter. The MPPT using a DC-DC converter controlled the duty cycle to track maximum power from PV under different insolation conditions. The duty cycle directly relate with a flux producing current control($i_{ds}$). The FOC inverter uses a current control voltage source inverter(CC-VSI). The simulation results are shown that the characteristics and performance of drive system, which varies as each conditions of light by expresses in voltage$(V_{dq})$, current$(I_{dq})$, speed of motor and torque.

Serial Communication-Based Fault Diagnosis of a BLDC Motor Using Bayes Classifier

  • This paper presents a serial communication based fault diagnosis scheme for a brushless DC (BLDC) motor using parameter estimation and Bayes classifier. The presented scheme consists of a smart network board, and a fault detection and isolation (FDI) master. The smart network board is installed near the BLDC motor drive system to acquire motor data and transmit motor data to the FDI-master via serial communication channel. The FDI-master estimates BLDC motor resistance to detect symptom of faults, and assign symptom to fault type using Bayes classifier. In this scheme, since communication time delay has a serious effect on performance, periodic and fixed communication protocol is designed. Hence, the delay time is priory known. By experiment result, presented scheme was verified.

  • Switched reluctance machine has much attention because of high efficiency, high power and DC series torque characteristics with a traction drive. But the motor has to have a regenerative mode when it is adopted in an electric vehicle. A current divergence during the regeneration makes difficulties in the control of SRM. This paper proposes a reference current limitation strategy for a stable regeneration based on simulations and experimental tests. The motor is operated with conventional current limit and switching angle control method in motoring mode. Simulations and experiments are executed to verify proposed method.
