미들웨어상에서 데이터베이스 인증시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Database Authentication System in Middleware)

  • The Gateway Server Authorization System(GSAS) presented in this thesis is a database authorization system. GSAS is responsible for user\`s authorization, and privilege management, audit service. Only users that are filtered in GSAS can access the DBMS(Data Base Management System) through middleware. GSAS is located at the DBMS and already contains an authorization record for user accessing a specific DBMS. GSAS on consists of several components, namely an authorization manager, a privilege manager, and an audit manager. As an authorization manager and a privilege manager can only approve a pass at the same time, a user can get accessibility for DBMS.

한의학 전통 지식 데이터베이스 관리 시스템 현황 (Currently Provided Database Management System of Traditional Korean Medical Knowledge)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to investigate and valuate currently provided database management systems (DBMS) of traditional Korean medical knowledge. Methods: We searched DBMS on the web and smart device application markets (Apple App Store and Google Play Store). Key words for searching were 'traditional medicine', 'acupuncture', 'moxibustion', 'herbal medicine', and '한의학'. We looked into each DBMS to find out its scopes and limits, and each was valuated according to its functionality, accessibility, and utility. Results: 186 DBMS of traditional Korean medical knowledge were investigated and 91% of them were applications for smart devices. Almost all DBMS provided acupuncture and herb information, and a small amount of DMBS provided prescription and research paper information. Functionality, accessibility, and utility valuation were performed by using scoring system from 0 to 2. Mean values of functionality, accessibility, and utility were 0.86, 1.29, and 1.09. Conclusions: On the whole, high accessibility and low functionality were found, and various data-calculating functions were not implemented. Further researches and developments about traditional Korean medical knowledge DBMS are necessary to provide correct traditional Korean medical information and to support the studies about Korean medicine.

빙해수조 모형빙에 관한 네트워크형 데이터베이스 구축 (A Construction of the Network Type Database Management System for Model Ice)

  • In the KIOST MOERI model ice basin, a lot of experiments to find the material properties of model ice and model ship tests are being performed. And therefore many data information was produced, yet it was saved as excel data format. In order to manage and use the data more effectively and systematically, a proper database management is required. To make realistic engineering DBMS(database management system), understanding of test process, the usage of data, design of data schema and computer language and system management are required. In this paper, basic design process and usage of DBMS based on network and multiple user concept is introduced.

  • 컴퓨터 관련학과의 학생들은 대부분 프로젝트를 수행하며, 프로젝트 수행에 있어 데이터베이스 사용은 필수적이다. 이런 데이터베이스를 사용하기 위해서는 데이터베이스 관리 시스템(DataBase Management System)의 설치가 필요하다. 그러나 DBMS를 설치의 경우 수분(시간)이 소요되며, 까다로운 설치 과정을 요구하는 DBMS도 있다. 따라서 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 Docker를 이용해 DBMS를 쉽게 설치할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하였다. Docker는 리눅스의 응용 프로그램들을 소프트웨어 Container안에 배치하는 일을 자동화하는 오픈소스 프로젝트이다. Docker Container는 소프트웨어의 실행에 필요한 모든 것을 포함하는 완전한 파일 시스템 안에 감싸며, 안에는 코드, 런타임, 시스템 도구, 시스템 라이브러리 등 서버에 설치되는 무엇이든 포함된다. 이는 실행 중인 환경과 관계없이 언제나 동일하게 실행될 것을 보증한다. 본 제안 시스템을 이용하여 데이터베이스를 생성한 후 웹에서 데이터베이스 접속 정보를 확인할 수 있으며, 서버 상태를 분 단위로 확인할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 제안 시스템을 구현하여 10팀의 프로젝트에 적용한 결과 개별 설치보다 Maria DBMS의 경우 94.5%, Oracle DBMS의 경우 98.3%의 설치 시간이 감소하여 향상된 효율을 확인하였다.

  • ALTIBASE/sup TM/ 시스템은 메인 메모리를 주 저장장치로 사용하는 관계형 주기억장치 DBMS이다. 본 논문에서는 최근 데이터베이스 응용들의 요구사항으로 부각되고 있는 데이터베이스의 고가용성과 실시간 데이터베이스 시스템의 높은 트랜잭션 처리율을 동시에 보장하기 위하여 ALTIBASETM시스템의 구조 및 설계에 대하여 기술한다. 특히, 고가용성 보장을 위한 ALTIBASETM 시스템의 이중화 기능에 대하여 논의한다. 이중화 기법의 분류를 통해 다른 기법과의 비교를 하였으며, 이중화 관리를 위한 프로세스 구조 및 이중화 통신 모델, 프로토콜에 대하여 설명한다. 또한, 다양한 실험을 통하여 트랜잭션 처리율을 측정하였으며, 이중화 기능을 지원하기 위해 요구되는 오버헤드를 독립 시스템의 성능과 비교하여 측정하였다.

  • DBMS(Database Management System)는 다수의 사용자들이 데이터베이스에 접근하여 손쉽게 데이터를 사용할 수 있도록 해주는 소프트웨어 시스템이다. 오라클(Oracle)을 선두로 한 상용서비스들과 MySQL을 중심으로 하는 오픈소스 DBMS가 있다. MySQL이 오라클에 인수된 이후 MariaDB가 발표되어 수요가 증가하고 있으며, 기존 SQL과 다른 성격의 NoSQL DBMS들도 상황에 따라 관심이 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 동일한 형태의 대용량 데이터들을 바탕으로 오픈소스 DBMS간 실제 성능비교분석이 필요함에 따라 본고에서는 오픈소스DBMS의 MariaDB와 문서중심(Document-Centric) 데이터베이스인 MongoDB간의 성능비교분석을 연구하였고, 나아가 그에 따른 결과를 바탕으로한 빅데이터관련 데이터베이스관리시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

  • Previous research on data extraction and integration for data warehousing has concentrated mainly on the relational DBMS or partly on the object-oriented DBMS. Mostly, it describes issues related with the change data (deltas) capture and the incremental update by using the triggering technique of active database systems. But, little attention has been paid to data extraction approaches from other types of source systems like hierarchical DBMS, etc. and from source systems without triggering capability. This paper argues, from the practical point of view, that we need to consider not only the types of information sources and capabilities of ETT tools but also other factors of source systems such as operational characteristics (i.e., whether they support DBMS log, user log or no log, timestamp), and DBMS characteristics (i.e., whether they have the triggering capability or not, etc), in order to find out appropriate data extraction techniques that could be applied to different source systems. Having applied several different data extraction techniques (e.g., DBMS log, user log, triggering, timestamp-based extraction, file comparison) to S bank's source systems (e.g., IMS, DB2, ORACLE, and SAM file), we discovered that data extraction techniques available in a commercial ETT tool do not completely support data extraction from the DBMS log of IMS system. For such IMS systems, a new date extraction technique is proposed which first creates Index database and then updates the data warehouse using the Index database. We illustrates this technique using an example application.

  • As semiconductor memory becomes cheaper, the memory capacity of computer system is increasing. Therefore computer system has sufficient memory for a plentiful spatial data. With emerging spatial application required high performance, this paper presents a GIS database system in main memory. Memory residence can provide both functionality and performance for a database management system. This paper describes design of DBMS for storing, querying, managing and analyzing for spatial and non-spatial data in main-memory. This memory resident GIS DBMS supports SQL for spatial query, spatial data model, spatial index and interface for GIS tool or applications.

  • Most of the railway traffic control systems are using in the DBMS(Database Management System)is a disk-based DBMS. When the train schedule and the event data is inputted and referred at real time on Disk-based DBMS, it is characteristic of the slow access time and the data is preserved permanently. For this reason, this paper suggests the way of improving for Railway Traffic Control System by the hybrid DBMS using a combination of memory and disk. We apply the Hybrid DBMS to Railway Traffic Control System and compare the existing method with suggested one using the same data. As a result of comparison, we have come to the conclusion that suggested method is far more performance to shorten data access time and process a mass information than the previous methods.

Design and Implementation of Advanced Traffic Monitoring System based on Integration of Data Stream Management System and Spatial DBMS

  • The real-time traffic data is generated continuous and unbounded stream data type while intelligent transport system (ITS) needs to provide various and high quality services by combining with spatial information. Traditional database techniques in ITS has shortage for processing dynamic real-time stream data and static spatial data simultaneously. In this paper, we design and implement an advanced traffic monitoring system (ATMS) with the integration of existed data stream management system (DSMS) and spatial DBMS using IntraMap. Besides, the developed ATMS can deal with the stream data of DSMS, the trajectory data of relational DBMS, and the spatial data of SDBMS concurrently. The implemented ATMS supports historical and one time query, continuous query and combined query. Application programmer can develop various intelligent services such as moving trajectory tracking, k-nearest neighbor (KNN) query and dynamic intelligent navigation by using components of the ATMS.
