Protective Action of Ambroxol on the Oxidative Damages of Lipids Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen

  • Ambroxol is thought to have antioxidant ability and some antiinflammatory effect. Effect of ambroxol on the oxidative damages of lipid, collagen and hyaluronic acid was examined. F $e_{2+}$(10 $\mu$M) and 100$\mu$Mascorbate-induced lipid peroxidation of liver microsomes was inhibited by 10 and 100$\mu$M ambroxol, 30$\mu$g/ml catalase and 10 mM DABCO but was not affected by 30$\mu$g/ml SOD and 10 mM DMSO. A 10 and 100$\mu$M ambroxol and 10 mM DABCO inhibited the peroxidative action of 10$\mu$M F $e_{3+}$, 160$\mu$M ADP and 100$\mu$M NADPH on microsomal lipids, whereas inhibitory effects of 30$\mu$g/ml SOD,30$\mu$g/ml catalase and 10 mM DMSO were not detected. The degradation of hyaluronic acid caused by 107M Fe2\\`,5007M H2O2 and 100$\mu$M ascorbate was inhibited by 10 and 100$\mu$M ambroxol,30$\mu$g/ml catalase,10 mM DMSO and 10 mM DABCO, while 30$\mu$g/ml SOD did not show any effect. The cartilage collagen degradation caused by 307$\mu$ F $e_{2+}$,500$\mu$M $H_2O$$_2$ and 200$\mu$M ascorbate was prevented by 100$\mu$M ambroxol. $H_2O$$_2$ and OH . were scavenged by ambroxol, whereas $O_2$, was not removed by it. Ambroxol (100$\mu$M) and 1 mM cysteine reduced DPPH to 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazine. In conclusion, ambroxol may inhibit the oxidative damages of lipid, hyaluronic acid and collagen by its scavenging action on oxidants, such as OH . and probably iron-oxygen complexes and exert antioxidant ability.

Pyrromethene 597 고체 색소 레이저의 제작 및 출력 특성 (Fabrication and lasing performance of Pyrromethene 597 dye in solid-state host media)

  • PMMA에 pyrromethene 597(PM597) 색소를 주입하여 고체 색소를 제작한 후 그 레이저 출력특성을 분석하였다. 펌핑 광원으로 Q-스위치 Nd : YAG 레이저의 제 2 고조파를 사용하여 발진 중심파장 585 nm에서 최대 광 변환효율 $76\%$를 얻었다. 광안정성을 증가시키기 위해 단일항 에너지 상태의 산소 제거제인 DABCO(1,4-diazabicyclo [2,2,2]octane)를 주입하여 반복율 4 Hz, 출력에너지 250 mJ, 100,000번 이상의 펄스 출력을 얻었다.

  • 2-(Allylthio)pyrazine derivatives were designed as a novel cancer chemopreventive agent that functions through selective inhibtion of cytochrome P-450 and induction of phase 11 enzymes involved in the detoxification of carcinogens. A practical preparation method of 2-(allylthio) pyrazine derivatives was established by the reaction of 2-mercaptopyrazine and allylbromides in the presence of a catalytic antioxidant, DABCO (1,4-diazabicyclo[2,2,2] octane), in dimethyl-formamide at below $50^{\circ}C$.

  • 제 2세대 bismaleimide의 일종인 Boots Technochemie 사의 Compimide 800을 매트 릭스 수지로 선정하여 여기에 촉매(DABCO 0.2wt%) 및 반응성 내충격성 증진제(TM 120; 15. 30, 60 part)를 첨가하여 Carbon/BMI 적층판($\pm$ 45。)2s를 만들어 인장 시험을 하여 in-plane shear하에서의 파단특성을 조사하였다, 이경우에 전단 탄성율을 망목상구조의 특성 에 의해 좌우되고 전단강도는 파단면의 형태와 밀접합 관계가 있다. TM 120을 30 part 첨 가한 경우의 전단강도가 가장 우수하였다

  • Polypropylene(PP)을 지지막으로 하여 in-situ 가교결합(cross-linking)방식을 이용한 pore-filled 이온교환막을 제조하였다. 다공성 PP막의 기공에 poly(vinylbenzyl chloride)(PVBCI)과 piperazine(PIP), 또는 1,4-diaminobicyclo [2,2,2]octane(DABCO)을 dimethylforamid(DMF)에 녹인 용액을 채워서 겔화시킨 후, 남아있는 chloromethyl 그룹에 trimethylamine을 이용하여 양이온인 암모니움 site를 형성시키면 pore-filled 음이온교환막이 형성된다. 이와 같은 2단계의 제조방식으로 제조된 pore-filled 분리막은 크기의 변화가 없이 안정되며, PVBCI의 농도와 가교제의 농도로써 고분자-겔의 함량(mass gain, MG)과 가교도가 간단하게 조절되는 것을 보여주었다. 특히 아주 낮은 압력(100 kPa)에서의 높은 수투과도(7.9kg/$m^2$hr, 지지막은 PP3, 73%의 MG, 10%의 가교도, PIP 가교제사용)는 연수용 분리막으로 충분히 활용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • An amide group was introduced to restrain the cohesion of silica nano-particles and copolymerized with polyamic acid. Amide block copolymers were prepared using silica and (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane (MPTMS) with a siloxane group, using 2, 6-Lutidine as a catalyst. Amide block polymers and copolymers were synthesized via ATRP after brominating pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and polyamic acid of methylene diphenyl diamine (MDA) using ${\alpha}$-bromo isobutyryl bromide. Characteristic peaks of copolymer with amide and imide groups and patterns of amorphous polymers were studied using FT-IR and XRD analyses; an analysis of the surface characteristic groups was conducted via XPS. Changes in the thermal properties were examined through DSC and TGA; solubility for solvents was also studied.

  • It is an inconvenience for silica nano-particles to dry again when using it in that they cohere each other through moisture in the air. Acrylamide groups were introduced to improve such inconvenience and copolymerized with silica nano-particles and then we copolymerized again with polyamic acid in order to increase thermal characteristic. Amide block copolymers were prepared using silica and (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane (MPTMS) with a siloxane group, using 2,6-Lutidine as a catalyst. Amide block polymers and copolymers were synthesized via ATRP after brominating pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and polyamic acid of methylene diphenyl diamine (MDA), using ${\alpha}$-bromo isobutyryl bromide.
