  • One drawback of polar codes is that they are not universal, that is, to achieve optimal performance, different polar codes are required for different kinds of channel. This paper proposes a polar code construction scheme for Nakagami-m fading channel. The scheme fully considers the characteristics of Nakagami-m fading channel, and uses the optimized Bhattacharyya parameter bounds. The constructed code is applied to an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system over Nakagami-m fading channel to prove the performance of polar code. Simulation result shows the proposed codes can get excellent bit error rate (BER) performance with successive cancellation list (SCL) decoding. For example, the designed polar code with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) aided SCL (L = 8) decoding achieves 1.1dB of gain over LDPC at average BER about 10-5 under 4-quadrature amplitude modulation (4QAM) while the code length is 1024, rate is 0.5.

  • This study is a study on the building integrated method of Photovoltaic. It was analyzed into a basic installation condition and an integrated form in this study. And it was confirmed through the 3D simulation & drawing work of an integrated situation to the real domestic building. The Photovoltaic installation of the country to an optimal efficiency for the year must be installed to the due south with an angle of thirty degrees. And also a module spacing must be more than doubled from the bottom to the top of module to prevent from efficiency falling by a shadow of photovoltaic module in a roof setting of flat roof. If Photovoltaic module is an adequate material that is a basic requirement as a building's finishing material, it's not only an efficiency of alternation with an existing finishing material but also a building's design element.

  • The study aims to analyzed and identify the heat transfer characteristics of water-jet-impingement with use of 3-D numerical-analysis in order to design the old water duct. The temperature comparison processes were done with various duct flows. In addition, the optimal conditions of water-jet-impingement were proposed as jet-pressure, the temperature on the beat plane, and so on.

  • The shape of lossy material inside a waveguide matched load is optimally designed to give low reflection over a given frequency range. The 3 dimensional vector finite element mettled is used as an analysis tool which does not generate spurious mode. The optimizing process used in this parer is the Powell technique. The designed load gives the low reflection about -30 dB around 10GHz with 1.5 wavelength of the load length.

  • A hybrid fuzzy controller by means of the genetic algorithms is presented. The control input for the system in the HFC is a convex combination of the FLC's output in transient state and PlD's output in steady state by a fuzzy variable. The HFC combined a PID controller with a fuzzy controller concurrently produces the better output performance than any other controller. A auto-tuning algorithms is presented to automatically improve the performance of hybrid fuzzy controller using genetic algorithms. The algorithms estimates automatical Iy the optimal values of scaling factors, PID parameters and membership function parameters of fuzzy control rules. Especially, in order to auto-tune scaling factors and PID parameters of HFC using GA three kinds of estimation modes are effectively utilized. The HFCs are applied to the second process with time-delay. Computer simulations are conducted at step input and the performances of systems are evaluated and also discussed in ITAE(Integral of the Time multiplied by the Absolute value of Error ) and other ways.

  • An investigation was carried out to determine the effect of the thickness of the air-gap installed between the roof metal sheet and the headliner on booming noise in passenger cars. In addition, a way of offering quieter driving condition to drivers and passengers was studied. It was found that a very thin air-gap corresponding to approximately 3/100 of the height of the passenger compartment causes noticeable change in the coupled resonance frequencies and acoustic responses. Furthermore, a guideline is proposed for determining an optimal air-gap thickness during design stage of the air-gap beneath the roof metal sheet for reducing booming noise.

  • Two of the factors to be considered at the design stage of the extinction chamber have been examined numerically. one is the sectional area of puffer cylinder, another is that of nozzle throat. the variation of the sectional area of puffer cylinder allowed us to find the size optimal at the interrupting performance. it is shown that the sizes of nozzle throat influenced the pressure rise of puffer cylinder strongly.

  • Response Surface Method (RSM) constructs approximate response surfaces using sample data from experiments or simulations and finds optimum levels of process variables within the fitted response surfaces of the interest region. It will be necessary to get the most suitable response surface for the accuracy of the optimization. The application of RSM plan experimental designs. The RSM is used in the sequential optimization process. The first goal of this study is to improve the plan of central composite designs of experiments with various locations of axial points. The second is to increase the optimal efficiency applying a modified method to update interest regions.

  • This paper is about design of optimal structure of slot antenna array antenna with inner waveguide in accordance with the slot model, and fabrication of its prototype sample operating at the frequency of 24 GHz. Results of this work can be employed as a useful tool to develop and diversify slot antenna having superior performance and omni-directivity to that of current antenna. The implemented antenna demonstrates ultra-wideband performance for frequency ranges 24 GHz with the relatively high and flat antenna gain of 18.64dBi and low sidelobe levels. In addition, a $2{\times}8$ antenna array for phased-array systems and mm-wave sensor applications is also presented.
