배관측 정렬 방법을 이용한 다중레이저 스캐닝 기반의 3차원 배관복원 (A 3-D Tube Reconstruction based on Axis Alignment of Multiple Laser Scanning)

  • A novel 3D tube scanning technique is proposed. The proposed tube scanning technique is developed for a special tube inspection module which consists of four line-lasers and one camera. Using the scanning module, we can reconstruct the 360 degree shapes of the inner surfaces of a cylindrical tube. From an image frame captured by the camera, we reconstruct a partial tube model based on four laser triangulations. Then by aligning such partial models with respect to a reference tube axis, a complete 3D shape of the tube is reconstructed. The tube axis in each reconstructed frame is aligned with a 3D Euclidean transformation to the reference axis. Several experiments show that the proposed method can align multiple tube axes very accurately and reconstruct 3D shapes of a tube with very low shape distortion.

노즐출구에 삽입된 다중관에 의한 충돌제트의 유동 및 열전달 특성 (Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Multi-Tube Inserted Impinging Jet)

  • An experimental study is conducted to investigate the flow and heat transfer characteristics of a multi-tube inserted impinging jet. Four different multi-tube devices are tested for various nozzle-to-plate distance. Flow visualization by smoke-wire method and velocity measurements using a hot-wire anemometer are applied to analyze the flow characteristics of the multi-tube insert impinging jet. The local heat transfer coefficients of the multi-tube inserted impinging jet on the impingement surface are measured and the results are compared to those of the conventional jet. In multi-tube inserted system the multi-tube length plays an important role in the flow and heat transfer characteristics of the jet flow. With multi-tube insert of I3d4 and I6d4 which has relatively longer tube length than the multi-tube-exit of I3d1 and I6d1, the flow maintains its increased velocity far downstream due to interaction between adjacent flows. For the small H/D of 4, the local heat transfer coefficients of multi-tube inserted impinging jet are much higher than those of the conventional jet because the flow has higher velocity and turbulent intensity by the use of the multi-tube device. At large gap distance of H/D=12, also higher heat transfer rates are obtained by installing multi-tube insert except multi-tube insert of I3d1.

삼차원 재건 기술을 이용한 맞춤형 몽고메리 T-Tube의 제작에 관한 예비 연구 (Custom-Made T-Tube Designed by 3-D Reconstruction Technique, a Preliminary Study)

  • Background: Montgomery T-tube is widely used to maintain airway in many cases. Market-available tubes are not always fit to the trachea of each patient and need some modification such as trimming. Complications do happen in prolonged use like tracheostomy tubes. To overcome above limitations, we designed custom-made T-tube using CT data with the aid of 3D reconstruction software. Material and Method: Boundaries were extracted from neck CT data of normal person and processed by surface rendering methods. Real laryngotracheal model and tracheal inner surface-mimicking tube model were made with plaster and rubber. The main tube was designed by accumulation of circles or simple closed curves made from boundaries. Stomal tube was made by accumulation of squares due to limitation of software. Measurement data of tracheal lumen were used to custom-made T-tubes. Tracheal lumen residing portion (vertical limb) was made like circular cylinder or simple closed curved cylinder. Stomal portion (horizontal limb) was designed like square cylinder. Results: Custom made T-tube with cylindric vertical limb and horizontal limb of square cylinder was designed. Conclusion: CT data was helpful in making custom made T-tube with 3D reconstruction technique. If suitable materials are available, commercial T-tube can be printed out from 3D printers.

  • A tube hydroformability testing system was designed and manufactured to observe the forming steps and to provide arbitrary combination of internal pressure and axial feed. The forming limit diagram of an aluminum tube was obtained from the free bulge test and the T-shape forming test using this system, giving the criteria for predicting failure in the hydroforming process. The hydroformability of aluminum tube according to different conditions of a prebending process was discussed, based on the finite element analysis and the forming limit test. The effects of 2D and 3D prebending on the tube hydroforming process of an automotive failing arm were evaluated and compared with each other.

  • A sandwich tube is a structured material that has two inner and outer circular tubes and light material between them. In this paper, a sandwich tube with a pyramidal truss core is introduced. Fabrication method and example made by brazing are shown. The behavior of the sandwich tube under lateral loading is predicted by analytical and numerical method. Comparative study between the sandwich and the monocoque tube is performed at a point of view such as strength and weight saving. As a result, proposed tube is appropriate for application to lightweight structural material

  • 볼텍스 튜브는 고압의 가스를 이용하여 고온 가스와 저온 가스를 분리하거나 입자상 물질의 분리에 사용 할 수 있는 장치이다. 본 연구에서는 직경 10mm의 볼텍스 튜브의 기본 설계 자료를 구축하기 위하여 에너지 분리 성능 실험을 수행하였다. 설계를 위한 기초 자료를 확보하기 위하여, 공급압력, 볼텍스 발생기의 오리피스 직경 및 튜브의 길이가 에너지 분리 특성에 미치는 영향력을 실험을 통하여 분석하였다. 결과적으로 오리피스 직경과 공급압력이 볼텍스 튜브의 성능의 지배적인 성능인자임을 확인하였다. 튜브길이가 성능에 미치는 영향은 미미하였다. Dc=0.7D, L=16D의 볼텍스 튜브에서 가장 우수한 에너지 분리효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • A continuous 3D tube bending machine has been developed for industrial boiler panel production. The machine consists of a main bender, a sub bender, a side bender, tube feeding rollers and control system that includes data management system. Tube position is controlled by a numerical control system. The bending former can be easily replaced according to the shape of bending form. Reduction of working time and improvement of production capacity from the practice have been achieved by bending a long tube in the machine developed.

  • The aluminum tube hydroforming is a manufacturing process which can provide lightweight components as automotive parts. In this paper, the hydroformability of aluminium tube in different condition of bending process is presented. An investigation has been conducted on how to control the deformed shape and its effect on thinning distribution after hydroforming by using finite element simulation. Finite element simulation of tube hydroforming for automotive trailing arm is carried out to explore the effect of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional bending.
