비모수적 방법을 이용한 OECD 국가별 R&D 효율성과 생산적 분석

  • This paper analyses the efficiency and productivity of R&D system across time (1991${\sim}$2000) and 16 OECD countries using multi-output and multi-input non-parametric frontier methods such as DEA (data envelopement analysis) and Malmquist productivity indexes. Malmquist productivity indexes are decomposed into two components measures, namely technical change and efficiency change. To calculate R&D efficiency and productivity, we used R&D stock and the number or researchers as R&D input proxies and the number of adjusted SCI papers and U.S. patent applications as R&D output proxies. Empirical result shows that Switzerland, Canada, U.S., Australia's R&D efficiencies are the highest and Korea's R&D productivity growth is the highest in the sample for the period. Technical efficiency growth was a more important source of productivity growth than technological innovation.

  • 최근 높은 성능을 갖춘 스마트 모바일 기기가 널리 보급되고 활발하게 사용되면서 다양한 지능적인 서비스에 대한 요구도 증대되고 있으며 그 가능성도 높아지고 있다. 하지만 이동 통신망의 통신 트래픽 과부하 문제는 해결해야 하는 문제점들 중 하나이다. 단말 간 직접 통신(D2D)은 기지국과 같은 기반 시설과의 트래픽을 분산시킬 수 있는 기술로 주목받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 에이전트 시스템을 통한 D2D 기반의 협력 프로토콜을 위해 에이전트의 기능을 효율적으로 기술할 수 있는 서비스 온톨로지를 설계한다. 제안한 서비스 온톨로지는 요구되는 서비스를 실시간의 상황에 따라 적합한 모바일 기기에 바인딩할 수 있는 근거가 됨으로써 기기 간의 효율적인 협력을 가능케 한다.

The Biological Degradation of High Concentration of Trichloroethylene (TCE) by Delftia acidovornas EK2 (Delftia acidovorans EK2에 의한 고농도 Trichloroethylene (TCE)의 생물학적 분해 특성)

  • In this study, we isolated 179 bacterial strains using benzene, phenol, ethylbenzene, aniline, cumene, toluene as growth substrate from TCE contaminated soils and wastewaters. All the 179 strains were screened for TCE (30 mg/L) removal (growth substrate 0.2 g/L, $30^{\circ}C$, pH 7, cell biomass 1.0 g/L (w/v)) under aerobic condition for 21 days. EK2 strain using aniline showed the highest removal efficiency (74.4%) for TCE degradation. This strain was identified as Delftia acidovorans as the results of API kit, 16S rDNA sequence and fatty acid assay. In the batch culture, D. acidovorans EK2 showed the bio-degradation for TCE in the various TCE concentration (10 mg/L to 200 mg/L). However, D. acidovorans EK2 did not show the bio-degradation in the TCE 250 mg/L. D. acidovorans EK2 also show the removal efficiency (99.9%) for 12 days in the low concentration (1.0 mg/L). Optimal conditions to degrade TCE 200 mg/L were cell biomass 1.0 g/L (w/v), aniline 0.5 g/L, pH 7 and $30^{\circ}C$. Removal efficiency and removal rate by D. acidovorans EK2 strain was 71.0% and 94.7 nmol/h for 21 days under optimal conditions. Conclusion, we expect that D. acidovorans EK2 may contribute on the biological treatment in the contaminated soil or industrio us wastewater.

A Study on the Improvement of 3D Slope Modeling for BIM Designing Site Construction (택지조성공사 BIM을 위한 비탈면 3차원 모델링 효율화 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, interest in Building Information Modeling (BIM) has increased globally, and 3D modeling is a start for the application of BIM at construction sites. However, while many studies have been conducted on the efficiency of 3D modeling focused on civil facilities, there is a lack of research on the earthwork BIM. In particular, since 3D slope often has complex shapes depending on the ground models, the efficiency method for 3D slope are needed. This study analyzed the interfaces and procedures of other software to find out what functions users need. Then the functions to enter intervals between 3D faces, select multiple ground models, and improve the interface are reflected on the developed system and is able to efficiently perform modeling with only five steps, and reduce the number of clicks and inputs. As a result of conducting the test to verify the efficiency, using the developed system made skilled users complete modeling at least 1.8 times faster and unskilled people at least 2.4 times faster than using other software. This is expected to perform 3D slope modeling more efficiently, as well as to contribute to the activation of future BIM adoption for housing construction projects.

  • 이동통신에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있는 이즈음 Battery의 효율적인 사용이 휴대 전화기에 있어서 중요한 문제점으로 부각되고 있다. 본 논문은 LTI에서 1991년 후반부터 개발을 시작 1992년에 개발완료한 아날로그 방식의 5.8V 휴대전화기용 고주파전력 증폭기에 관한 것으로 이것의 일반적인 설계 방법과, 시험 및 생산 방법을 기술하고자 한다. 이와 같이 설계된 고주파 전력증폭기는 양산성이 있으며, 효율 60% typ. 출력 31.5dBm 이상 그리고 2차 3차, 및 4차 고조파가 모두 30 dBc 미만이며 그 외에 load missmatch, Noise, Spurious 특성이 휴대전화기에 적용하기 알맞게 안전하도록 설계되어 있다. 또한 장착의 효율성을 위해 크기를 최소화하여 1.4cc의 체적을 갖고 있다.

  • 인터넷의 빠른 발전과 하드웨어 속도의 향상에 의해 가상현실이 점차 일반 사용자에게도 가깝게 다가서고 있다. 인터넷 가상현실 언어의 표준인 VRML이 XML의 개발과 발전에 의해 차기 버전을 XML의 장점인 용이한 확장성을 수용하는 X3D라 명명하고 표준화를 진행 중이다. VRML의 경우 전송 시 파일 크기의 문제를 안고 있고, X3D로 진보하면서 역시 같은 문제를 해결하기 위하여 보다 효율적인 전송 포맷에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. X3D의 효율적 전송을 위한 바이너리 스트림 개발의 일환으로 바이트코드를 제안하고, 강력한 Java 3D API와 플랫폼 독립적인 바이트코드의 장점을 살려 표준화 단계인 X3D를 별도의 브라우저 없이도 Java 애플릿을 이용하여 재생할 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 이를 위한 방법으로 X3D를 Java 3D로 변환하는 번역기가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 X3D-Java 3D 번역기의 구조를 설계하고 구현 방법을 제시하고자 한다. XML 파서를 이용하여 X3D를 파싱하고 그의 출력인 AST를 순회하면서 Java 3D 파일을 생성한다. X3D DTD와 Java 3D 클래스의 구조, 계층 관계 정보를 독립된 자료로 작성하여 계속 변하게 될 두 언어의 변화에 유동적으로 대처하면서 소스 코드의 큰 변화 없이 이용할 수 있게 설계하고자 한다.

  • Erasure codes have recently been applied to distributed storage systems due to their high storage efficiency. Regenerating codes are a kind of erasure codes, which are optimal in terms of minimum repair bandwidth. An (n,k,d)-regenerating code consists of n storage nodes where a failed node can be recovered with the help of the exactly d numbers of surviving nodes. However, if node failures occur frequently or network connection is unstable, the number of helper nodes that a failed node can contact may be smaller than d. In such cases, regenerating codes cannot repair the failed nodes efficiently since the node repair process of the codes does not work when the number of helper nodes is less than d. In this paper, we propose an operating method of regenerating codes where a failed node can be repaired from ${\bar{d}}$ helper nodes where $$k{\leq_-}{\bar{d}}{\leq_-}d$$.

Design and Characteristics of Shaped ADE Reflector Antennas (경면수정 ADE 반사경 안테나의 설계 및 그 특성)

  • In this paper, a shaped small-size ADE(Axially Displaced Ellipse) reflector antenna of 30 cm in diameter operating from 37 to 40 GHz was designed. The experimental antenna was manufactured, and the radiation characteristics evaluated. In the procedure of antenna design, aperture field distribution was assumed to uniform + parabolic distribution. And the variations of beam width, aperture efficiency, and sidelobe level as functions of aperture field distributions were investigated, and these results presented to be used in antenna design. The measured gain and sidelobe level of experimental antenna were found 39.9 dBi(efficiency : 61.9%) and -18.8 dB for 40 GHz. These values show good agreement in design goal of efficiency more than 60% and sidelobe level less than -20 dB.
