유리섬유 / 탄소섬유 강화 비대칭 하이브리드 복합재료의 스프링 백 (Spring-back in GFR / CFR Unsymmetric Hybrid Composite Materials)

  • 섬유강화 복합재료는 우수한 기계적, 전자기적 물성 등으로 다양한 분야에서 응용되고 있다. 열경화성 복합재는 제작공정에서의 성형온도와 제품의 운용온도인 상온간의 온도차이로 형상의 변형(스프링 백)이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 스프링 백은 하이브리드 구조의 정밀한 형상 제작을 위해서 반드시 보정되어야할 부분이다. 본 연구에서는 유리섬유/에폭시 복합재와 카본섬유/에폭시 복합재로 구성된 비대칭 하이브리드 복합재를 경화사이클, 적층두께, 적층방법 등 다양한 조건을 적용하여 제작하고 3차원 좌표측정기를 이용하여 스프링 백을 측정하였다. 또한 고전 적층판 이론(CLT)과 유한요소해석(ANSYS)으로 스프링백을 예측하고 실험결과와 비교하였다. 고전 적층판 이론과 유한요소해석으로 예측된 스프링 백은 실험 결과와 잘 일치하였으며, 성형온도가 낮을수록 스프링 백이 감소되는 경향을 보임을 확인하였으나 근원적으로 스프링 백이 제거되지는 않았다.

  • 고속철도 교량은 고속주행 열차의 차축 주기하중 효과와 교량 고유의 동적특성에 의한 동적 증폭 효과로 인하여 구조물의 안전성에 영향을 받는다. 그리고 교량의 과도한 변형으로 인하여 차륜과 레일의 접촉력 감소, 궤도틀림 등의 윤중 변동이 일어나 열차의 주행안전성 및 승차감을 저해할 수 있다. 이러한 궤도 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 동적거동에 대한 교량상판수준의 수직가속도 제한, 차륜-레일간의 접촉과 열차주행 안전성 확보를 위한 상판 면틀림 제한, 단부 회전각 변위 제한, 차량하중에 의한 교량의 수직 처짐 제한을 반드시 만족시켜야 하며, 필수적으로 공진에 대한 검토도 이루어져야 한다. 신설되는 호남고속철도에서는 기존의 경부고속철도와 다른 콘크리트 도상을 적용하고, 궤도간격, 설계열차하중 등이 변경되어 적용되므로 새로운 동적안정성 요구조건을 적용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트교량에 비해 진동특성이 취약한 것으로 알려진 강합성 거더 고속철도 교량의 동적거동 분석을 수행하였다.

W 섬유강화(纖維强化) Al 합금기지(合金基地) 복합재(複合材)의 열(熱)cycle에 따른 계면거동(界面擧動)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Interfacial Phenomena of Tungsten Fiber Reinforced Aluminium Matrix Composite under Thermal Cycles)

  • The reaction layer formed at interface between matrix and fiber has significant effects on the mechanical properties and behaviors of deformation m FRM. In this study, the mechanical properties and interfacial behaviors according to surface finishing on the fibers and according to heat treatment in FRM were investigated. FRM was fibricated by diffusion bonding method. In W/Al alloy composite and W/Al composite, W of which was coated with $WO_3$, the heat treatment was carried out thermal cycling method from 373K to 673K. In W/Al composite, W of which was coated with $WO_3$, growth of interface layer was hardly occured in spite of the increasing various thermal cycles. It was exhibited that oxidized W/Al composite were higher strength than non-oxidezed W/Al composite with the increasing thermal cycles. The compounds of fiber/matrix interface were analyzed into $WAl_{12}$, $WAl_7$, and $AlWO_3$, respectivly. Therefore the interfacial compounds of fiber/matrix seriously affected the mechanical properties and behaviors of deformation in FRM.

자켓앵커 거동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Behaviour of Jacket Anchor)

  • 본 연구에서는 자켓앵커와 일반앵커에 대한 현장시험을 통해 자켓앵커의 인발력 발휘 메카니즘을 분석하고 자켓앵커의 지층별 단위주면마찰력을 산정하였다. 6개현장에서 실시된 총 12회의 인발적성시험결과 자켓앵커의 극한인발력이 일반앵커의 극한인발력에 비해 약 $15.38{\sim}295.02%$ 정도 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 동일한 하중단계에서 자켓앵커의 소성변위가 일반앵커의 소성변위보다 약 $20.78{\sim}l,496.45%$ 정도 작은 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 자갈층에서는 250% 이상의 극한인발력 증가와 600% 이상의 소성변위 감소가 발생하여 자켓앵커는 그라우트액의 손실이 발생할 수 있는 지반에 적용성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 시험에서 산정된 극한인발력을 이용하여 실트 및 점토지반과 모래, 자갈 및 전석층에서의 지반강도별 단위주면마찰력을 제안하였다. 또한 섬유정착보강재 파열압력시험과 최적주입압력 확인시험을 수행하여 적절한 정착지지체를 형성시킬 수 있는 주입압력 추정 도표를 제시하였다.

23Cr26Ni 내열강의 피로 특성 (Fatigue Behavior of 23Cr26Ni Heat Resistant Steel)

  • The influence of the cooling condition after solution treatment on the high temperature fatigue resistance of 23Cr-26Ni heat resistant steel was investigated. Two different cooling conditions were applied to the steel after solution treatment at $1200^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours. One specimen was water quenched immediately after the solution treatment. The other one was furnace cooled at a rate of $0.5^{\circ}C/min$ down to $750^{\circ}C$ after the solution treatment. Then, both specimens were aged at $750^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours. Under two different heat treatment conditions, the low cycle fatigue (LCF) test was performed at $600^{\circ}C$ and room temperature (RT). Only cyclic hardening continued from the beginning until fracture at all strain amplitudes during LCF at $600^{\circ}C$. This phenomenon was attributed to the increase in the dislocation density due to cyclic deformation, which resulted in the interaction between the newly created dislocations and precipitates. Cyclic hardening followed by saturation and cyclic softening was observed at RT. Cyclic softening was attributed to the dislocation annihilation rate exceeding the dislocation generation rate. Other probable factor for cyclic softening was some cavities formed around grain boundaries after 20 cycles. WQ and FC have a similar LCF behavior at RT and $600^{\circ}C$ as shown in the cyclic stress response curves.

Creep properties and damage model for salt rock under low-frequency cyclic loading

  • Triaxial compression creep tests were performed on salt rock samples using cyclic confining pressure with a static axial pressure. The test results show that, up to a certain time, changes in the confining pressure have little influence on creep properties of salt rock, and the axial creep curve is smooth. After this point, the axial creep curve clearly fluctuates with the confining pressure, and is approximately a straight line both when the confining pressure decreases and when it increases within one cycle period. The slope of these lines differs: it is greater when the confining pressure decreases than when it increases. In accordance with rheology model theory, axial creep equations were deduced for Maxwell and Kelvin models under cyclic loading. These were combined to establish an axial creep equation for the Burgers model. We supposed that damage evolution follows an exponential law during creep process and replaced the apparent stress in creep equation for the Burgers model with the effective stress, the axial creep damage equation for the Burgers model was obtained. The model suitability was verified using creep test results for salt rock. The fitting curves are in excellent agreement with the test curves, so the proposed model can well reflect the creep behavior of salt rock under low-frequency cyclic loading. In particular, it reflects the fluctuations in creep deformation and creep rate as the confining pressure increasing and decreasing under different cycle periods.

평판형 SOFC 단전지 전극계면에서 발생되는 응력장에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Basic Study on the Stress Field in the Electrode Interface of the Planar SOFC Single Cell)

  • Recently, eco-friendly sources of energy by fuel cells that use hydrogen as an energy source has emerged as the next generation of energy to solve the problem of environmental issues and exhaustion of energy. A solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) classified based on the type of ion transfer mediator electrolyte has actively being researched. However, the reliability according to the thermal cycle is low during the operation of the fuel cell, and deformation problem comes from the difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the electrode material, the components made of ceramic material is also brittle, which means disadvantages in terms of the strength. Therefore, in this study, considering the states of the manufacturing and operating of SOFC single cells, the stress analyses in the each of the interfacial layer between the anode, electrolyte and the cathode were performed to get the basic data for reliability assessment of SOFC. The obtained results show that von Mises stress according to the thickness direction on operating state occurred maximum stress value in the electrolyte layer. And also the stresses inside the active area on a distance of 1 ${\mu}m$ from the electrode interface were estimated. Futhermore the evaluation was done for the variation of the stress according to the stage of the operation divided into three stages of manufacturing, stack, and operating.

다축대각단조(MADF) 가공한 구리의 기계적 성질 (Mechanical Properties of OFC Copper Fabricated by Multi-Axial Diagonal Forging (MADF))

  • Oxygen-free copper (OFC) was prepared as a 90 mm cube and then processed with Multi-Axial Diagonal Forging - Initialization of Prior manufacturing History (MADF). The MADF process has been newly developed as a severe plastic deformation method. The MADF process consists of upset forging with a thickness reduction of 30% and diagonal forging with a diagonal angle of $135^{\circ}$. 1 cycle process consists of a 12 passes forging process. In order to analyze the characteristic changes according to the number of iterations, 1, 2, and 3 cycles of the MADF process were performed. The OFC specimens were MADF processed without surface cracks up to 3 cycles. The microstructure, hardness and tensile test of processed materials were analyzed to study the change of material properties according to the amount of MADF process. The results showed that the MADF process effectively refined the microstructure and increased the strength of OFC. In the case of specimens processed for more than 2 cycles, the grains of all measurement regions were refined to be less than $7{\mu}m$ of grain size. The 1 cycle MADF processed OFC showed the highest mechanical properties with the hardness of 132 HV and tensile strength of 395 MPa. Hardness and strength seemed to be saturated when processed over 2 cycles.

냉간가공된 316L 스테인리스 강의 인장 및 저주기 피로 물성치에 미치는 동적변형시효의 영향 (The Influence of Dynamic Strain Aging on Tensile and LCF Properties of Prior Cold Worked 316L Stainless Steel)

  • Tensile and LCF(low cycle fatigue) tests were carried out in air at wide temperature range 20$^{\circ}C$-750$^{\circ}C$ and strain rates of 1${\times}$10$\^$-4//s-1${\times}$10$\^$-2/ to ascertain the influence of strain rate on tensile and LCF properties of prior cold worked 316L stainless steel, especially focused on the DSA(dynamic strain aging) regime. Dynamic strain aging induced the change of tensile properties such as strength and ductility in the temperature region 250$^{\circ}C$-600$^{\circ}C$ and this temperature region well coincided with the negative strain rate sensitivity regime. Cyclic stress response at all test conditions was characterized by the initial hardening during a few cycles, followed by gradual softening until final failure. Temperature and strain rate dependence on cyclic softening behavior appears to result from the change of the cyclic plastic deformation mechanism and DSA effect. The DSA regimes between tensile and LCF loading conditions in terms of the negative strain rate sensitivity were well consistent with each other. The drastic reduction in fatigue resistance at elevated temperature was observed, and it was attributed to the effects of oxidation, creep and dynamic strain aging or interactions among them. Especially, in the DSA regime, dynamic strain aging accelerated the reduction of fatigue resistance by enhancing crack initiation and propagation.

가변 금형온도 제어기법을 적용한 사출금형의 냉각성능 고찰 (Investigation of Cooling Performance of Injection Molds Using Pulsed Mold Temperature Control)

  • 금형온도는 사출성형시 수지의 유동특성이나 성형품의 변형에 영향을 미치는 중요한 변수로서, 고온의 수지 주입과 냉각회로에 주입되는 냉각수의 영향을 받아 사출 사이클이 반복될수록 온도의 상승과 하강이 반복되는 주기적인 변화특성을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 금형 냉각회로에 저온과 고온의 유체를 번갈아 주입하는 가변 금형온도 제어기법을 적용하여 성형전에는 금형온도를 높게 유지하고 성형후에는 낮게 유지함으로써 사출성형시 품질과 생산성을 동시에 높일 수 있는 연구를 수행하였다. 특히 열전달-유동해석을 연계한 다중사이클 사출성형 과도해석을 수행하여 수지와 금형, 냉각수간의 과도적인 온도변화를 수치적으로 고찰하였고, 기존 냉각방법과의 해석결과를 비교하여 제안된 가변 금형온도 제어기법의 가열 및 냉각과정에서의 효율성을 비교하였다.
