In this paper, we present a survey of security and privacy preserving issues in M2M communications in Cyber-Physical Systems. First, we discuss the security challenges in M2M communications in wireless networks of Cyber-Physical Systems and outline the constraints, attack issues, and a set of challenges that need to be addressed for building secure Cyber-Physical Systems. Then, a secure architecture suitable for Cyber-Physical Systems is proposed to cope with these security issues. Eventually, the corresponding countermeasures to the security issues are discussed from four aspects: access control, intrusion detection, authentication and privacy preserving, respectively. Along the way we highlight the advantages and disadvantages of various existing security schemes and further compare and evaluate these schemes from each of these four aspects. We also point out the open research issues in each subarea and conclude with possible future research directions on security in Cyber-Physical Systems. It is believed that once these challenges are surmounted, applications with intrinsic security considerations will become immediately realizable.

A cyber-physical system(CPS) is a collection of cyber and physical components that interact with each other to achieve a particular application. Here, the CPS is emerged the reliability and security problems. Particularly, the defect of reliability in the data/control transmission under the CPS can lead to serious damage. We discuss the reliability and security problem on CPS architecture. Then we would suggest the considerations of cyber security in industrial control systems built with CPS.
Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) are the most protected facilities among all critical infrastructures (CIs). In addition to physical security, cyber security becomes a significant concern for NPPs since swift digitalization and overreliance on computer-based systems in the facility operations transformed NPPs into targets for cyber/physical attacks. Despite technical competencies, humans are still the central component of a resilient NPP to develop an effective nuclear security culture. Turkey is one of the newcomers in the nuclear energy industry, and Turkish Akkuyu NPP has a unique model owned by an international consortium. Since Turkey has limited experience in nuclear energy industry, specific multinational and multicultural characteristics of Turkish Akkuyu NPP also requires further research in terms of the Facility's prospective nuclear security. Yet, the link between "national cultures" and "nuclear security" is underestimated in nuclear security studies. By relying on Hofstede's national culture framework, our research aims to address this gap and explore possible implications of cross-national cultural differences on nuclear security. To cope with security challenges in the age of hybrid threats, we propose a security management model which addresses the need for cyber-physical security integration to cultivate a robust nuclear security culture in a multicultural working environment.

As core technologies(IoT, 5G, Cloud, Bigdata, AI etc) leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution promote smart convergence across the national socio-economic infrastructure, the threat of new forms of cyber attacks is increasing and the possibility of massive damage is also increasing. Reflecting this trend, cyber security is expanding from simple information protection to CPS(Cyber Physical System) protection that combines safety and security that implements hyper-connectivity and ultra-reliability. This study introduces the recent evolution of cyber attacks and looks at the next generation cyber security technologies based on the conceptual changes of cyber security technologies such as SOAR(Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) and Zero Trust.

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are introduced as complex, interconnected systems that combine physical components with computational elements and networking capabilities. They bridge the gap between the physical world and the digital world, enabling the monitoring and control of physical processes through embedded computing systems and networked communication. These systems introduce several security challenges. These challenges, if not addressed, can lead to vulnerabilities that may result in substantial losses. Therefore, it is crucial to thoroughly examine and address the security concerns associated with CPS to guarantee the safe and reliable operation of these systems. To handle these security concerns, different existing security requirements methods are considered but they were unable to produce required results because they were originally developed for software systems not for CPS and they are obsolete methods for CPS. In this paper, a Security Requirements Engineering Methodology for CPS (CPS-SREM) is proposed. A comparison of state-of-the-art methods (UMLSec, CLASP, SQUARE, SREP) and the proposed method is done and it has demonstrated that the proposed method performs better than existing SRE methods and enabling experts to uncover a broader spectrum of security requirements specific to CPS. Conclusion: The proposed method is also validated using a case study of the healthcare system and the results are promising. The proposed model will provide substantial advantages to both practitioners and researcher, assisting them in identifying the security requirements for CPS in Industry 4.0.

Recently, Cyber Physical System (CPS) is one of the core technologies for realizing Internet of Things (IoT). The CPS is a new paradigm that seeks to converge the physical and cyber worlds in which we live. However, the CPS suffers from certain CPS issues that could directly threaten our lives, while the CPS environment, including its various layers, is related to on-the-spot threats, making it necessary to study CPS security. Therefore, a survey-based in-depth understanding of the vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks is required of CPS security and privacy for IoT. In this paper, we analyze security issues, threats, and solutions for IoT-CPS, and evaluate the existing researches. The CPS raises a number challenges through current security markets and security issues. The study also addresses the CPS vulnerabilities and attacks and derives challenges. Finally, we recommend solutions for each system of CPS security threats, and discuss ways of resolving potential future issues.

The aim is to find cyber measures in consideration of physical CPTED in order to prepare countermeasures for cybercrime prevention. For this, the six applied principles of CPTED were used as the standard. A new control item was created in connection with the control items of ISO27001. A survey was conducted on former and current investigators and security experts. As a result of the reliability analysis, the Kronbar alpha coefficient value was 0.947, indicating the reliability of the statistical value. As a result of factor analysis, it was reduced to six factors. The following are six factors and countermeasures. Nature monitoring blocks opportunities and strengthens business continuity. Access control is based on management system compliance, personnel security. Reinforcement of territoriality is reinforcement of each wife and ethics. Establishment of security policy to enhance readability, security system maintenance. Increasing usability is seeking ways to utilize, periodic incentives. For maintenance, security education is strength and security-related collective cooperation is conducted. The differentiation of this study was to find countermeasures against cybercrime in the psychological part of the past. However, they approached to find in cyber measures. The limitation of the study is to bring the concept of physical CPTED to the cyber concept.
In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of cyber attacks and major threat scenarios that could occur around intelligent building management Systems(IBS) by cyber attack security threats against cyber physics systems. Generally determined that lowering the likelihood of aggression against predictable threats would be a more realistic approach to attack response. The countermeasures against this need to be applied to multi-layered defense systems, and three alternatives were proposed: preliminary cyber safety diagnosis for protection targets and the establishment of mobile security control systems.
As the 4th Industrial Revolution(Industry 4.0), symbolized as CPS(Cyber Physical System), spreads around the world, it is essential to establish a converged security infrastructure to secure technical stability and reliability of various cyber systems to be implemented in the future. In this study, we will investigate the phenomenon of broad convergence security industry and technology including the concept of life safety in relation to the spread of the 4th industrial revolution, and analyze the possibility of linkage between related knowledge to promote academic-industrial cooperation necessary for the convergence of security. we would like to propose a comprehensive development policy on human resource development, technology development and policy improvement.

With the global rise of digital data, the uncontrolled quantity of data is susceptible to cyber warfare or cyber attacks. Therefore, it is necessary to improve cyber security systems. This research studies the behavior of malicious acts and uses Higuchi Fractal Dimension (HFD), which is a non-linear mathematical method to examine the intricacy of the behavior of these malicious acts and anomalies within the cyber physical system. The HFD algorithm was tested successfully using synthetic time series network data and validated on real-time network data, producing accurate results. It was found that the highest fractal dimension value was computed from the DoS attack time series data. Furthermore, the difference in the HFD values between the DoS attack data and the normal traffic data was the highest. The malicious network data and the non-malicious network data were successfully classified using the Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) method in conjunction with a scaling stationary index that helps to boost the ROC technique in classifying normal and malicious traffic. Hence, the suggested methodology may be utilized to rapidly detect the existence of abnormalities in traffic with the aim of further using other methods of cyber-attack detection.
