  • In information technology era. importance of female engineers' role is emphasized ever than before. However, relatively few female students have taken engineering as their major in Korea. Furthermore, most of the female engineering students face difficulties due to the lack of their role model. A cyber mentoring system is a very useful system to manage and support such female engineering students in college. In this study, QFD(Quality Function Deployment) is used to find the design factors for effective Cyber mentoring system, that are related to female students' needs. Based on these factors, we use a conjoint analysis to come up with the most favorable Cyber mentoring system. Implementation procedures are given for the continuous quality improvement of the system.

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis about the relationship among Cyber Home Learning System(CHLS) circumstance, learner construct, learning satisfaction in elementary school students. Base on the selected data which was gathered from Chungbuk & Deajeon elementary schools, Structural Equation Modeling was used to examine the relationship between factors. The main results of the research were as follow : First, CHLS circumstance factor was more effective on the CHLS satisfaction than CHLS learner construct. In CHLS circumstance factor, 'service' factor was more influential variable. Second, there is high correlation between CHLS circumstance factor and CHLS learner construct. In CHLS satisfaction, 'contents and design' factor was more influential variable. Third, the model fit, = 624.945 (p<.001), RMR .020, GFI .929, AGFI .878, NFI .927, CFI .930, RMSEA .102 was relatively satisfied with the standard using structural equation model. As based on this results, CHLS in elementary education needs elaborate circumstance for the effective achievement.

  • The objective of this research is to assess various factors affecting E-learning in Korean language education. In this research, we hypothesize that several factors such as absorption, motivation and tutors increase the educational effects of E-learning and ultimately affect learning attitude and satisfaction of students in E-learning. To discuss the hypothesis, we analyzed survey data of 300 students who were taking E-learning class of Korean language for three weeks in October 2007 based on Structural Equation Model. The result of our analysis shows that the factors such as absorption, motivation, tutors have positive effects on E-learning in Korean language education and positive influence on learning attitude and satisfaction on students as well.

  • As the IT industry develops, The field of e-learning based on existing theoretical subjects has expanded to fields requiring actual education. Courses that require practical training in e-learning must be evaluated to have learning outcomes through on-line practice. In this research, a student at Cyber University mechatronics engineering studies 'PLC Control' and 'Servo Motor Control', which are subjects of the undergraduate major, through 'Prime College's CyberLAB' for learning by e-learning investigated whether there was a learning result. For this reason, CyberLAB was conducted. And for the students who took the course for two years, We confirmed through the 5 - point scale questionnaire and grades that the practical subjects had a significant effect on e - learning.

  • A cyber crime has been evolving, as other crimes have. Beyond physical damages such as financial crimes in the cyber world, it has evolved into psychological forms like cyber-bullying. In today's crimes, measures that consider psychological effects of crimes are highly regarded in that fear of crime is considered as well as visible crimes. Accordingly, cyber bullying, which causes psychological damages, needs to be treated very importantly. Because the characteristics of cyber crime is caused by different circumstances from the real world, measures should be taken in different aspects. Rather than physical damages, which can be found in the conventional crimes, cyber crimes cause psychological damages, so the effect that has on inflicting should be specified. Especially, in the environment that virtual reality is ubiquitous through smart phones, it is very difficult to establish measures by considering all the causes of general cyber crimes. Therefore, this study estimated what affects cyber bullying by focusing on personalized faith factor among social bond theory, which can control cyber crimes. As a result, self-controling faith was verified to have a negative effect on cyber bullying, so faith is a very important factor in personalized environment. Thus, it is suggested that the characteristics of cyber space and education of humanism, which can affect individuals' faith should be emphasized.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the direct effect of victimization experience on cyber security behavior and the indirect effect of information protection awareness through the Dual Process Theory. Baron & Kenny regression analysis was conducted and the results are as follows - first, victimization experience has a positive effect on cyber security behavior; second, the relationship between victimization experience and cyber security behavior is mediated by cyber security awareness; and third, the direct effect of victimization experience on cyber security behavior and the indirect mediating effect of cyber security awareness are both positive (+). The direct effect of victimization experience on cyber security behavior is analyzed to be relatively large compared to the indirect effect that cyber security awareness has on cyber security behavior. Based on these results, It is suggested that periodic cyber security education and campaign policies are needed to enhance cyber security behavior.

  • This study proposes basic information to make effective environments for social welfare education, revealing the reasons why students choose the social welfare major at Konyang Cyber University. We conducted qualitative research with 41 students in the social welfare department at Konyang Cyber University. The result of this research is as follows. First, most students chose their major to get a certificate that can benefit them in the near future. Second, they chose their major as a way to achieve renown, and to enhance the quality of their lives. Third, they desired to contribute to society through their social work. Finally, individual experiences and family background were also motives. Based on the research, to improve learning outcomes in social welfare education, the necessary learning strategies are as follows. First, goal-oriented learning is necessary for students who want to get the certificate. A practical curriculum needs to contain both practical skills and professional knowledge applicable to the social work field. Second, education for students who choose the major to gain fame, and to develop their lives, requires generation-integrated education to help them review their lives and find their own meaning in life. Third, education for students who choose the major for a practical social contribution has to contain volunteer training that can lead them to be professional volunteers in society. Fourth, education for students who choose the major based on their personal experiences and their family background needs to deal with case management, which discovers the recipients who need help in society and the students who can achieve visible outcomes after all.

  • The cyber classes of an e-Learning system have been considered as one of the important form of education. Especially. some of non-major(liberal arts and science) and major subjects are held in cyber classes. However, there is no or little study of effectiveness and function for the students' position. In this study, we analyzed log files in the e-learning system. and classified login and learning hour patterns of students. who were enrolled in the cyber classes. into hourly pattern in a day, daily pattern in a week, and weekly pattern in a semester. We proposed general ideas to improve effectiveness and function of current e-learning. Over 50% of logins were for less than 30 minutes learning and there is wasteful use of e-learning system resources.
