A caving self-stabilization bearing structure of advancing cutting roof for gob-side entry retaining with hard roof stratum

  • An advancing cutting roof for gob-side entry retaining with no-pillar mining under specific geological conditions is more conducive to the safe and efficient production in a coalmine. This method is being promoted for use in a large number of coalmines because it has many advantages compared to the retaining method with an artificial filling wall as the gateway side filling body. In order to observe the inner structure of the gateway cutting roof and understand its stability mechanism, an equivalent material simulation experiment for a coalmine with complex geological conditions was carried out in this study. The results show that a "self-stabilization bearing structure" equilibrium model was found after the cutting roof caving when the cut line deviation angle was unequal to zero and the cut height was greater than the mining height, and the caving roof rock was hard without damage. The model showed that its stability was mainly controlled by two key blocks. Furthermore, in order to determine the optimal parameters of the cut height and the cut line deviation angle for the cutting roof of the retaining gateway, an in-depth analysis with theoretical mechanics and mine rock mechanics of the model was performed, and the relationship between the roof balance control force and the cut height and cut line deviation angle was solved. It was found that the selection of the values of the cut height and the cut line deviation angle had to conform to a certain principle that it should not only utilize the support force provided by the coal wall and the contact surface of the two key blocks but also prevent the failure of the coal wall and the contact surface.

  • Recently, world leading companies on manufacturing field are trying to adopt a PLM methodology, which is a new production paradigm, for a survival and strengthening the competitiveness. Some projects for a digital shipyard including a methodology of a digital simulation framework are going on by Seoul national university and Samsung heavy industry. A Database methodology for a scheduling data, an interfacing methodology for a simulation input and output, and a synchronized simulation related methodology are required for enhancing the value of the digital simulation for shipbuilding. In this paper, such a methodologies and a related case study for a fabrication factory and an assembly factory are presented.

  • For many practical optimization problems where the system components are stochastic, the objective functions can not be represented analytically. Furthermore, many of these problems are characterized by the presence of multiple and conflicting objectives. In this research, we introduce a new algorithm through an interactive cutting plane method for solving this multi-criteria simulation optimization problem. Then a turning process is evaluated through the proposed algorithm.

Simulation Model에 의한 임분상태(林分狀態)의 변동예측(變動豫測) -임분축적(林分蓄積)의 변동(變動)을 중심으로- (Prediction of Changing Forest Conditions Using a Simulation Model)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 삼림경영계획기간(森林經營計劃期間) 10년 동안의 임분(林分) 축적변화태(蓄積變化態)를 예측(豫測)하기 위하여 Simulation Model이 개발(開發)되고 실제임분(實際林分)에 적용(適用)된다. 강원도(江原道) 인제군(麟蹄郡) 기린면(麒麟面) 진동(鎭東)2리(里) 소재 중부영림서(中部營林署) 인제영리소(麟蹄營理所) 관할 국유림(國有林) 3.844ha를 대상으로 개발(開發)된 Simulation Model에 의해 임분축적변동상황(林分蓄積變動狀況)이 추정(推定)된다. 이때 삼림경영계획자(森林經營計劃者)의 벌채계획(伐採計劃)에 따라 두개의 가정하(假定下)에 Simulation Model 두개가 반복(反復) 실행(實行)된다. 10년간의 생장(生長)과 수확(收穫)을 추정(推定)하기 위해 각 수종별(樹種別) 생장방정식(生長方程式)이 유도(誘導)된다. Simulation Model 1과 2, 두 모델에 의해 예측(豫測)된 10년 동안의 임분축적상황(林分蓄積狀況)을 보면 10-14%의 차이를 보이고 있다. 이것은 Simulation Model 구성(構成)의 중요성(重要性)을 시사(示唆)해 주며 삼림경영계획자(森林經營計劃者)의 의사결정(意思決定)을 통해 잔재(殘在) 임목축적(林木蓄積)에 미치는 영향(影響)이 크다는 것을 보여 준다.

실측응력 및 시뮬레이션에 의한 트러스 철도교의 피로피해도 분석 (Analysis of the Degree of Fatigue Damage in Truss Railway Bridge by Actual Stress and Simulation)

  • After measuring actual stress by two measurements(Dynamic Strain Meter, Histogram Recorder) on truss rail road bridge, we could perform time history analysis by 3-D beam element method on modelling bridge. And then, after analyzing bridge structure in static by 3-D modelling, we estimated degree of fatigue damage in main member, secondary member of tie zone, cutting area of base metal cross section for confirming the result. In case that the simulated stress is carried out on modeling bridge, most of those simulation mainly is performed by main members. But in real bridge fatigue damage problems generally caused by junctions, connections, joints in which especially local stress is activated. Therefore, in this paper actual stress on critical area was estimated through the analysis result by simulation. With this study, we can estimate the degree of fatigue damage from a safety point of view and comparative accuracy.

Development of Tissue-Tool Interaction Simulation Algorithms for Rotator Cuff Surgery Scenario in Arthroscopic Surgery Training Simulator

  • Various simulator systems for surgery training have been developed and recently become more widely utilized with technology advancement and change in medical education adopting actively simulation-based training. The authors have developed tissue-instrument interaction modeling and graphical simulation algorithms for an arthroscopic surgery training simulator system. In this paper, we propose algorithms for basic surgical techniques, such as cutting, shaving, drilling, grasping, suturing and knot tying for rotator cuff surgery. The proposed method constructs a virtual 3-dimensional model from actual patient data and implements a real-time deformation of the surgical object model through interaction between ten types of arthroscopic surgical tools and a surgical object model. The implementation is based on the Simulation Open Framework Architecture (SOFA, Inria Foundation, France) and custom algorithms were implemented as pulg-in codes. Qualitative review of the developed results by physicians showed both feasibility and limitations of the system for actual use in surgery training.

5축 FMS라인의 절삭 칩 처리를 위한 칩 회수처리장치 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on Simulation of Chip Recycling System for the Management of Cutting Chip in 5-Axis FMS Line)

  • The primary element of machining automation is to maximize the utilization of machine tools, which determines the output and lead-time. In particular, 95% of raw materials for wing ribs are cut into chips and 0.6 ton of chips are generated every hour from each machine tool. In order to verify the chip recycling system that controls the chips from the machines in five-axis FMS line, a simulation of the virtual model is constructed using the QUEST simulation program. The optimum speed of the chip conveyor and its operating conditions that directly affect the efficiency of the FMS line are presented including the chip conveyor speed, the maximum capacity of the hopper, and the number of chip compressors.

  • 이 논문은 선체 외판 자동 생산 시스템의 효과적인 구축을 위하여 기존의 객체 지향 시스템 개발 이론을 개선한 ESBD(Evolutionary Simulation Based Design)을 제안한다. 목표 시스템인 AHMS(Automated Hull-piece Manufacturing System)는 가공 이전 평후판의 입고, 선처리, 절단, 1차 곡가공, 2차 곡가공 그리고 출고에 이르는 가상화된 자동화 공정의 분산 제어 시스템으로서 ESBD에 의해 개발된다. 실시간 원격 제품 모니터링(Product Monitoring)과 제품 정보 관리(Product Data Management)를 실현하기 위하여 분산 제어 및 물류 시뮬레이션을 통한 시스템 개발을 적용한다. 실험적으로 개발된 시스템은 새로운 공장의 배치 및 설계에 기본적인 가이드 라인을 제시하는 역할도 수행한다.

  • 결함 시뮬레이션은 테스트 생성의 중요한 과정이며 테스트가 올바른지 검증하거나 결함사전을 작성하는 데에 쓰인다. 본 논문에서는 회로의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위해 사용되는 테스트 패턴을 효율적으로 생성하기 위하여 역추적 결함 시뮬레이션 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘의 기본구성은 초기화 과정, 역추적 결함 시뮬레이션 과정 및 입력패턴의 변화가 생겼을 때 즉 리스트변화가 있을때의 재계산 과정 등 3부분으로 되어 있다. 기본개념은 역추적 과정에서 출력선을 제어하지 못하는 입력을 커팅하므로서 최소의 결함리스트를 유지하는 것이며 리스트의 변화가 생겼을 때 논리변화가 일어나는 신호선만 재계산한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 기억장소의 요구도를 O(n)으로 줄이고 수행시간을 향상시켜 효율적임을 보인다.
