해안매립지반에서의 토류가시설 시험시공 및 변경사례 (A Field Case on the Pilot Constructions and Changes of a Braced Cut Wall in a Coastal Filled Land)

  • There are many kinds of braced cut wall methods as the sheet pile, SCW, CIP and slurry wall which is adoptable for a deep excavation construction in a coastal filled land. The braced cut wall which has a strong stiffness is very stable but it has the weak point that the construction cost is high. Thus when a braced cut wall is designed, the geotechnical engineers choose the braced cut wall which has more safe and economic in the consideration of surrounding buildings near the construction site. Especially, when the sheet pile method as a braced cut wall is cheesed, the layer order and consistence of a coastal deposit stratum are considered and the pile driving method is also considered. This paper introduces the case that the originally box-type sheet pile wall was changed to U-type and high strength material after the pilot test at the subway construction site in a coastal filled land. This paper also introduces the case that the sheet pile's driving method was changed to special method in the section of the temporary coffer dam which had made when the present coastal filled land was formed.

Field test and research on shield cutting pile penetrating cement soil single pile composite foundation

  • In this paper, due to the need for cutting cement-soil group pile composite foundation under the 7-story masonry structure of Zhenghe District and the shield tunnel of Zhengzhou Metro Line 5, a field test was conducted to directly cut cement-soil single pile composite foundation with diameter Ф=500 mm. Research results showed that the load transfer mechanism of composite foundation was not changed before and after shield tunnel cut the pile, and pile body and the soil between piles was still responsible for overburden load. The construction disturbance of shield cutting pile is a complicated mechanical process. The load carried by the original pile body was affected by the disturbance effect of pile cutting construction. Also, the fraction of the load carried by the original pile body was transferred to the soil between the piles and therefore, the bearing capacity of composite foundation was not decreased. Only the fractions of the load carried by pile and the soil between piles were distributed. On-site monitoring results showed that the settlement of pressure-bearing plates produced during shield cutting stage accounted for about 7% of total settlement. After the completion of pile cutting, the settlements of bearing plates generated by shield machine during residual pile composite foundation stage and shield machine tail were far away from residual pile composite foundation stage which accounted for about 15% and 74% of total settlement, respectively. In order to reduce the impact of shield cutting pile construction on the settlement of upper composite foundation, it was recommended to take measures such as optimization of shield construction parameters, radial grouting reinforcement and "clay shock" grouting within the disturbance range of shield cutting pile construction. Before pile cutting, the pile-soil stress ratio n of composite foundation was 2.437. After the shield cut pile is completed, the soil around the lining structure is gradually consolidated and reshaped, and residual pile composite foundation reaches a new state of force balance. This was because the condensation of grouting layer could increase the resistance of remaining pile end and friction resistance of the side of the pile.

압성토 및 억지말뚝으로 보강된 도로의 확장공사로 인한 추가 보강사례 연구 (A Case Study of Extra Reinforcement by Road Extension work on Existing Cut Slope Reinforced with Counterweight Fill and Stabilizing Piles)

  • 본 논문에서는 도로확장공사 현장의 절토사면 안정검토를 위해서 몇가지 조사 및 분석을 수행하였다. 압성토 및 억지말뚝으로 보강된 절토사면의 추가 보강사례를 그 연구대상으로 하며, 절토사면에 보강된 안정화파일의 효과를 분석하기위한 시험장비 또한 설계 및 설치하였다. 결론적으로, 추가보강방법으로써 억지말뚝공법과 Earth Anchor공법을 검토한 결과, 억지말뚝공법과 Earth Anchor공법 모두 안정성은 확보하였으나 기존 보강공법의 연계성과 경제성을 고려하여 억지말뚝공법을 추가보강공법으로 선정하였다.

장대사면 내 억지말뚝의 억제효과 (현장 Case-Study 중심으로) (Reinforcing Effects of Micro-Piles in a high Cut Slope)

  • Several sensor systems are used to estimate the reinforceing effect of pile in hihg cut slopes, and to find a failure zone in slopes effectively. Inclinometer, extensometer and V/W sensor have shown a great potentiality to serve real time health monitoring of the slope structures. They were embedded or attached to the structures, we conducted field tests and test results have shown great solutions for sensor systems of Civil Engineering Smart Structures. This research is to seek for the relationships among the slope movement and the reinforceing effect of pile, and the strain distribution in a active zone by analyzing the data from the in-situ measurement so that the possible failure zone should be well defined based on the relationships. Also, the relationships between temperature and reinforceing effect of pile, and the strain distribution are estimated in this paper.

대절토사면에 보강된 억지말뚝의 활동억지효과에 관한 연구 (Reinforcement Effect of Stabilizing Piles in Large-scale Cut Slops)

  • During the last few decades in Korea, the development of hillside or mountain areas has rapidly increased for infrastructure construction such as railroads, highways and housing. Many landslides have occurred during these constructions. Also, the amount and scale of damage caused by landslides have increased every year. In the case of Far East Asia including Korea, the damage of landslides is consequently reported during the wet season. In this paper, the effect of stabilizing piles on slope stability is checked and the behavior of slope soil and piles are observed throughout the year by field measurements in the large-scale cut slopes. In particular a large-scale cut slope situated on the construction site for the express highway in Donghae, Korea. First of all, The behavior of the slope soil was measured by inclinometers during slope modification. Landslides occurred in this area due to the soil cutting for slope modification. The horizontal deformations of slope soil gradually increased and rapidly decreased at depth of sliding surface indicating that the depth of sliding surface below the ground surface can be predicted. On the basis of being able to predict the depth of the sliding surface, stabilizing piles were designed and constructed in this slope. To ensure the stability of the reinforced slope using stabilizing piles, an instrumentation system was installed. The maximum deflection of piles is measured at the pile head and it is noted that the piles deform like deflection on a cantilever beam. The maximum bending stress of piles is measured at the soil layer. The pile above the soil layer is subjected to lateral earth pressure due to driving force of the slope, while pile below soil layer is subjected to subgrade reaction against pile deflection. As a result of research, the effect and applicability of stabilizing piles in large-scale cut slopes could be confirmed sufficiently.

억지말뚝 근입깊이 및 배치간격에 따른 사면 안전율 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Slope Safety Factor Variation by Pile Construction Depth and Space)

  • 국토의 $70\%$가 산지로 이루어져 있는 우리나라의 지형적인 특성으로 인하여 도시간의 연계성을 필요로 하는 상황에 의해 계속적인 도로공사가 요구되고 있다. 이에 따라 대규모 절개사면의 발생은 필연적으로 형성되고 있다. 이러한 절개사면이 전반적인 붕괴될 경우의 보강방법으로 지표에서 이동하려는 토괴를 관통하여 부동지반까지 말뚝을 삽입해서 지반활동하중을 말뚝이 저항을 하여 부동지반으로 전달시킴으로써 토괴의 이동에 대하여 역학적으로 저항하는 억지말뚝 공법을 채택하고 있다. 현재 경험적으로 사용되는 말뚝의 근입깊이와 말뚝의 간격에 대한 한계를 수치해석을 통하여 분석하고자 하였다. 이 결과 억지말뚝의 가장 효과적인 시공깊이 및 배치간격을 제안하였다.

Acrylic Carpet의 압축특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Compressional Properties of Acrylic Carpet)

  • Nowadays, the amount used carpets are on the increase, according to the improvement of life-style. The pleasantness of carpet is caused by the properties of pile, because the most carpets are made pile fabric. For that reason, a study on the compressional properties of carpet is very important issue. This study has been carried out to investigate the differences of compressional properties in various acrylic carpets which were Cut, Tufted, Jacquard and Shag. Each acrylic carpets was transformed to 4, 6, 8 mm of pile height, as results of transformation, we could get the pressure-thickness curve and pressure-deformation curve. The results are summarized as follows. 1. Rate of compression increases, compressive resistance and compressive elasticity decr-eases, as pile height increases. 2. Regardless of pile height, compressive elasticity reached the limit in recovery period at about 10 minutes. 3. Work of compression increases, as pile height increases. 4. Work of compression decreases, as apparent density increases. 5, Cut-type carpet has the best cushion.

이암지역에 근입된 PRD강관말뚝의 지지력 보강 (Reinforcement for Bearing Capacity of PRD Steel Pile at Mudstone Area)

  • The cut slope sliding which has been frequently encountered in Pohang area has been reported due to the rapid reduction of shear strength in mudstone after being exposed to the air. Mudstone has characteristics that it has high enough strength and stiffness in a dry condition, but the strength and stiffness decrease in a wet condition with groundwater infiltration. The case study in this paper shows that mudstone which had enough strength in a boring stage has lost the strength after installing PRD steel pipe pile inducing an insufficient bearing capacity, which has been ascertained by the static load test. Test construction has been performed to investigate the most favorable method for increasing a pile bearing capacity in mudstone with various methods such as MSG (Micro Silica Grouting) around the tip and side of a pile, the perimeter grouting combined with Micro pile reinforcement, and concrete filling after tip reinforcing grouting. From the test construction, MSG has been turned out to be the most favorable method for increasing a pile bearing capacity in mudstone, which has been confirmed by the static load test.

Z형 강널말뚝의 오염물질 차단효과 (The permeability charateristic of Z-type sheet pile joints under water sealing conditions)

  • In general steel sheet piles are used in the containment system, which are vertical barrier systems for waste disposal and landfill purposes, and roads in excavation for temporary structure. This paper presents case study of the use of an interlocking sheet pile for water and containment. Cut-off Z-type sheet pile joints are investigated to determine their permeability from the field test. Four different joint sealing materials are used in field test. The results showed joint permeability is significant time-dependent and joint-dependent. These are explored and conclusions on permeability characteristics of different sealants are noted. A case study gives a design example as well as suggestion on permeability and water tightness can be implemented in using the sheet pile barrier in civil and environment works. From the test results, the effective sealing programs of sheet pile interlocks are suggested.

조선 말기 이후 첨모직 깔개에 관한 연구 (Study on Pile Cloth Rugs Produced after the Late Joseon Period)

  • 첨모직은 표면에 짧은 파일이 나타나는 것으로 조선시대 후기에는 첨모직 깔개를 지칭하는 용어로 채담이 사용되었으며, 20세기 초에는 융전과 단통, 양탄자 등으로 불리었다. 조선 말기 이후의 여러 문헌이나 신문기사, 그리고 각종 사진자료를 통해 첨모직 깔개가 왕실뿐만 아니라 일반인도 사용하였고 당시 국내에서 제작하였다는 것이 확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 조선 말기 이후의 첨모직 깔개 6점을 실물 조사하였는데 5점은 페르시아매듭의 컷파일이며 1점은 루프파일의 기법으로 제작되었다. 컷파일의 깔개는 크기가 가로 72~98 ${\times}$ 세로 150~156cm의 직사각형이며, 나비, 사슴, 호랑이, 그리고 십장생 등의 주 무늬를 중앙에 배치하고 卍자를 가장자리에 배치하였다. 컷파일의 소재는 지경사는 모두 면사이며 지위사는 3점은 면사, 1점은 모사, 그리고 1점은 면사와 비스코스레이온의 혼섬사이다. 지위사는 4점이 S꼬임의 실 여러 올을 합쳐 Z방향으로 합사한 실을 사용했다. 파일위사는 4~6가지의 색이 사용되었는데 홍색을 제외하고 모두 염색을 하지 않은 자연색 그대로의 모섬유가 사용되었다. 그리고 S나 Z꼬임의 모사를 2올 이상 합하여 반대방향으로 꼬임을 주었는데 굵기에 맞춰 올수를 합하였다. 깔개의 위아래 가장자리는 위사를 6올 이상 넣고 남은 지경사는 몇 올씩을 한데 묶어서 정리하였으며, 좌우 가장자리는 3올 이상의 면사를 가운데 놓고 수평으로 감아 마치 둥근 막대처럼 만들며, 가장자리에서 2~3번째 지경사를 징거서 튼튼하게 고정하였다. 루프파일은 경사방향으로 고리를 만든 경첨모직이며 지경사와 지위사는 면사, 파일경사는 모사로 추정된다. 소재의 성분 분석이 가능했던 깔개는 3점으로 파일위사는 판단이 불명한 것을 제외하고 염소와 비미종 양으로 판명되어 첨모직 깔개에 다양한 종류의 동물털이 사용되었을 가능성이 있다고 본다. 본 연구에서 조사한 6점의 깔개는 1800년대 말부터 1900년대 초에 제작되었다고 추정된다. 깔개의 정확한 제작지는 확인할 수 없었으나 당시 국내에서 첨모직 깔개를 제작하고 있다는 문헌기록과 깔개의 문양의 조형성을 고려한다면 우리나라에서 제작된 것으로 본다.
