Analyzing Types of Styling through Character Customization Games (캐릭터 커스터마이징 게임에 나타난 유형별 스타일링 분석)

  • The styles by character type in customizing systems were analyzed, being classified into creative style, attractive style, grotesque style, usual style, and suit style on the basis of the 'fashion style types of game characters' proposed in the previous research. The creative and convergent designs that couldn't be implemented in reality were expressed in various forms because those designs were created in virtual space, one feature of games. The analysis of the fashion styles of characters was focused on the RPG using the characters with exaggerated body proportions beyond the general body proportions in reality and the features on game characters that were identified by gamers. Thus, the creative style and attractive style showed a high frequency. The common features were identified because the costume designs and colors for characters are generally selected in accordance with the gamers' requests or by reflecting the view on the world. However, it was difficult to find out the representative cases for hair designs and colors because of excessively diverse expressions. The results of this paper will be a valuable reference for the research on the fashion item development manual satisfying the gamers' personalities and requests and relevant research.

Method Customizing From Web-based English-Korean MT System To English-Korean MT System for Patent Documents (웹 영한 번역기로부터 특허 영한 번역기로의 특화 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 웹과 같은 일반적인 도메인의 영한 자동 번역기를 특허용 영한 자동번역기로 특화하는 방법에 대해 기술한다. 특허용 영한 파동번역기로의 특화는 다음과 같은 절차에 의해 이루어진다: 1) 대용량 특허 문서에 대한 언어학적 특성 분석, 2) 대용량 특허문서 대상 전문용어 추출 및 대역어 구축, 3) 기존 번역사전 대역어의 특화, 4) 특허문서 고유의 번역 패턴 추출 및 구축, 5) 언어학적 특성 분석에 따른 번역 엔진 모듈의 특화 및 개선, 6) 특화된 번역 지식 및 번역 엔진 모듈에 따른 번역률 평가. 이와 같은 절차에 의해 만들어진 특허 영한 자동 번역기는 특허 전문번역가의 평가에 의해 전분야 평균 81.03%의 번역률을 내었으며, 분야별로는 기계분야(80.54%), 전기전자분야(81.58%), 화학일반분야(79.92%), 의료위생분야(80.79%), 컴퓨터분야(82.29%)의 성능을 보였으며 계속 개선 중에 있다. 현재 본 논문에서 기술된 영한 특허 자동번역 시스템은 산업자원부의 특허지원센터에서 변리사 및 특허 심사관이 영어 전기전자분야 특허 문서를 검색할 때 한국어 번역서비스를 제공받도록 이용되고 있으며($\underline{http://www.ipac.or.kr}$), 2007년에는 전분야 특허문서에 대한 영한 자동번역 서비스를 제공할 예정이다.

  • As project opportunities for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry have grown more complex and larger, the utilization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies for three-dimensional (3D) design and simulation practices has been increasing significantly; the typical applications of the BIM technologies include clash detection and design alternative based on 3D planning, which have been expanded over to the technology of construction management in the AEC industry for virtual design and construction. As for now, commercial BIM software has been operated under a single-user environment, which is why initial costs for its introduction are very high. Cloud computing, one of the most promising next-generation Internet technologies, enables simple Internet devices to use services and resources provided with BIM software. Recently in Korea, studies to link between BIM and cloud computing technologies have been directed toward saving costs to build BIM-related infrastructure, and providing various BIM services for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This study addressed development of the usage metering functions of BIM software under cloud computing architecture in order to archive and use BIM data and create an optimal revenue structure so that the BIM services may grow spontaneously, considering a demand for cloud resources. For the reason, we surveyed relevant cases, and then analyzed needs and requirements from AEC industry. Based on the relevant cases, customizing for cloud BIM and design for the development was performed. We also surveyed any related-law to support cloud computing-based BIM service. Finally, we proposed herein how to optimally design and develop the usage metering functions of cloud BIM software.

An Analysis on Building Steps of LFS Linux System (LFS 리눅스 시스템 구축 과정 분석)

  • With the recent wide adoption of Linux in the fields of IoT, embedded, mobile, desktop and server industries, the importances of understanding the Linux system architecture as well as customizing the Linux system are increasing very steeply. Accordingly, the capabilities of building every component of Linux system from source code files have been important. The LFS (Linux From Scratch) site[1] guides the steps of building the basic Linux system from source files. The steps consist of build host preparation step, temporary system building step, final system building step, and system configuration and boot preparation step. However, the underlying concepts behind the steps used in building LFS are difficult to understand, particularly to the beginner. This paper analyzes the LFS build steps and reveal the core build concepts and principles used in each step. Additionally, this paper shows the measured package build times obtained from our build experience.

  • The various software engineering techniques have been come out in order to cope with the software crisis since 1980's. The software Engineering has focused on the process of software component development. The process products a development guide for a quality and productive improvement of software. But, most of the methodologies assume that a new system will be constructed and reused in the future. these do not actually support efficiently how we reuse legacy system's resources and construct a new system. In this paper, we present an efficient Reengineering Process for reusing legacy systems, RUP+re, which extends and customizes RUP. Rup+re consists of Reverse Engineering Workflow, Re-Engineering Workflow and forward Engineering Process. We describe RUP+re's workflows with their own detail steps and verify them practically through the case study. So, we provide efficient guidelines to the software Reengineering process construction which reuses the resources of a legacy system.

  • Open Network Management Systems (NMS) are not sufficient to use in a large and complex computer network environment because many-year experiences and skills are requeired for using NMS. And also, customizing NMS means a difficult programming with API(Application programming Interface) supplied by NMs. The more intelligent NMS you want, the more difficult programming you must do. In this paper, we proposed an intelligent network management system suign a structure of multiple and distributed expert systems, so as to represent expertises and knowledges of network managers into rule format, maintain the knowledgesstructurally and perform the network managmenet intelligently. expert system for amanaging computer network should understand the management protocol, analyze messages from agents, take a proper action, and report the situations by pre-defined network operation principle and strategy. A multiple expert sytem is composed of monitor expert module, fault expert module and manager expert module which are controlled by enconded knowledges.

  • Reusable software component is an ultimate goal for the software development. Component based development is focused on advanced concepts rather than passive manipulation or class library with source codes. However, the primary component construction in component based development lead to an additional development cost and effort for reconstructing the new software component within a component model. Java application provides several features based on component model. But, we only have an opportunity to develop the smallest reuse units or the restricted set of GUI components. It cannot contributed as a component and only used in the specific domain component with high cost and efforts. In this paper, we apply java component model to the existing java application and extract javabeans through extending the component scalability. We also discuss the algorithm for transformation mechanism from legacy class to javabeans with a partial of business logic.

  • Recently, RCM(reliability centered maintenance) process is introduced and applied for the planning and implementing efficient and effective maintenance system in terms of optimal rolling stock maintenance. Particularly, cost-time benefits analysis associated with the implementation of RCM for rolling stock maintenance is necessary and required for railway operator in advance. The RCM process was primarily starting from military, airplane and nuclear industries and is now adapted in railway industry for local railway operators. This paper focuses on suggesting the way of connecting the RCM process with railway maintenance activities in the railway operation field. Thus, in order to introduce and establish reliability activities, it needs to review and evaluate the maintenance environment in the organizational point of view. Based on these reviews and evaluations, various maintenance methodologies are reviewed for customizing local railway field situations and establish specific process in the application of major systems on the reliability technology. In this paper, the railway RCM process is proposed for the establishment and construction of the systematic and optimal maintenance system.

  • According to develop the web technology, the data providers are trying to offer the efficient service for customers. Specially it is necessary to improve efficiency of the search function to help user access easily useful information their want. KISTI has introduced and customized the FAST search engine to improve search performance of the national science and technology information portal service system. But the design work for hardware and software implementation of search engine is important above all. In this paper, we discuss about the design and custormizing skill of FAST engine for the KISTI S&T information search service.

  • There are three types of survey research system, telephone surveys, online surveys, interviews and so on. Currently most of the survey data have been verified by hand-collecting state in korea. Semi-automated research systems, some companies are using imported from abroad. This paper is the study on the design and implementation of linked research system for global standardization. The system is optimized through customizing for local conditions, as well as professionals for telephone surveys, online surveys, interviews even a normal user can enter the questionnaire easily and quickly. The result data is passed to the customer quickly and accurately. In particular, this system is based on automatic data input and collected provides best efficient analysis and statistics. Office programs and advanced statistical program SPSS is compatible with the maximum benefits for proposed system. Additionally, to achieve the import substitution effect through localization and to propose a global standard the proposed system is designed and implemented.
