Thus, various empirical studies in relation to port service quality are needed. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of perceived port service quality on customer satisfaction and loyalty. To achieve this aim, we established 8 hypotheses based on SERVPERF in order to test correlations of 5 dimensions of port service, port service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. In specific, switching barrier was included as moderator in customer satisfaction and customer loyalty relationships. The subjects are the customers who use the Busan New Port. A survey using 317 customers was conducted, Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to test the validity of the measurement model, and AMOS analysis approach was used to gain important insights into how customer retention in the port business can be ensured. Results in this paper indicate that customer trust and satisfaction are identified as antecedents of the port service quality dimensions. Customer satisfaction positively influences trust. Customer trust and satisfaction positively influence loyalty. Switching barrier positively moderates the relationship of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Finally, this study suggests that the implications of these findings and offers directions for future research.

  • Recently the port logistics service has been recognized as a important function of the international logistics, therefore, a lot of papers have been issued concerning the measurement of the service quality of that. But in spite of variety of papers, we can not find out the papers concerning the model of the synthetic customer satisfaction. And also the most of papers concerning the customer satisfaction of service quality have been focused not by cognitive evaluation of the customer, but by affective response. In this thesis, the authors are postulating the model and hypothesis to achieve the research by using the Gr$\"{o}$nroos's model. In order to research the relationship between the port logistics service quality and the customers satisfaction, we are selecting the shipping companies located in Busan and Kwangyang as purchaser and the loading and unloading companies as supplier, and the questionnaires was performed to them. In the result of the empirical study, the technical quality of the port logistics service are affecting directly on the customer satisfaction, but the functional quality are affecting not directly on the customer satisfaction. And also the customer response(affective response) has been proved that it has been exercised as a intermediate role between the port logistics service quality and the customer satisfaction. Therefore it is proved that the affective response of the customer has been exercised a crucial role in the course of supplying the port logistics service.

  • The main purpose of this study is to develop new measurement device of the quality of terminal service, applying the existing research output of service marketing to the specific industrial aspect of container terminal. Especially we tried to help marketing managers present the points of effective marketing strategy with each dimension of service quality. To achieve this aim, we defined the service quality demensions of container port as the following three ones; the internal, the external, and the interactive qualities. The applied measuring instruments could be divided into three dimensions by carrying out factor analysis. Additionally, by analyzing the relative effects of the three dimensions of service quality on customer satisfaction, we found that the relative importance are as follows; interaction quality>internal quality> external quality. We confirmed that the three dimensions of service quality could affect customer loyalty and information, through customer satisfaction.

  • This study examines the level of port service quality based on $Gr{\ddot{o}}nroos$(1984)'s Two-Dimensional Model: we investigated service-environment quality and service-delivery quality, and added service-product quality as a process quality. This study focused on a service user like a llner, forwarder, shipper, or a logistics firm using port service in the Port of Busan. We investigated relationships among the following vairables: service quality, customer satisfaction and port image; we also analyzed the path coefficients using Smart-PLS 3.0. The results and suggestions of this study are summarized as follows. First, all of the service quality variables influenced customer satisfaction but service-delivery quality didn't have an impact on port image. Secondly, there is correlation between customer satisfaction and port image; customer satisfaction had a positive effect with port image. Lastly, customer satisfaction and port image influenced the Relation Continuity Intention.
