Improving Customer Satisfaction Management using the Satisfied Customer Segmentation based on Latent Class Analysis (Latent Class Analysis 기반의 만족 고객 세분화를 이용한 고객만족경영 향상 방안)

  • Recently it is difficult to draw an improvement for customer satisfaction because the ratio of satisfied customers increases in customer satisfaction survey. In addition, the effectiveness of practical application of customer satisfaction survey decreases due to its constitution limitation on its data analysis. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to develop a novel research to identify the strategy meanings and find dissatisfied factors of satisfied customers using the satisfied customers' reclassification. This study focuses on the satisfied customer segmentation based on Latent Class Analysis (LCA). The case study with high-speed internet service customers show that the satisfied customers are divided into three subgroups using LCA and we draw meaning results such as satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors through analyzing each group. This study is expected to play the role as the groundwork for the revitalization of customer satisfaction survey as well as improving customer satisfaction management.

  • This paper is an investigative research to improve customer satisfaction survey for resolving practical problems. It is natural phenomenon that, as the level of customer satisfaction index increases, the ratio of satisfied customers increases too. However, the effectiveness of practical application of customer satisfaction survey for improvement of customer satisfaction decreases due to its structural limitation on its data analysis system. In order to cope with these problems, it is necessary to develop the new method to identify the strategy meanings and find the dissatisfied factors of satisfied customers using the satisfied customers reclassification. This study proposes the satisfied customer reclassification method based on attribute complex scores. The excremental results show that the it was expected to present more improved results than the number-producing oriented one dimensional model. This study is expected to play the role as the groundwork for the revitalization of customer satisfaction survey as well as improving customer satisfaction management.

  • The purpose of this study is to prove that the approprlate fit between service failure and recovery strategy can effciently maximize customer satisfaction and behavioral intention, by using prepared scenario through comprehensive approach concerning how the expectation level about service recovery has influences on perceived fairness, satisfaction and behavioral intention of servlce recovery based upon size in case of service failure. This study has been conducted by way of selection of filling-up type questionnaires for customers themselves who have experience in service failure out of customers who can easily visit family and hotel restaurants, that is, domestic restaurants in Seoul area, June ~ August 2004, by setting factorial design of 2(control, severeness) ${\times}$ 3(distributive fairness, procedural fairness, mutual relational fairness) ${\times}$ 2(customer satisfaction, customer behavior). The survey was performed on the customers who visited common restaurants, family restaurants, hotel restaurants, etc. mainly in Seoul, and total 600 sheets of questionnaires were distributed and 496 sheets of them were returned(82.67% of return ratio).

Customer Satisfaction Analysis for Global Cosmetic Brands: Text-mining Based Online Review Analysis (글로벌 화장품 브랜드의 소비자 만족도 분석: 텍스트마이닝 기반의 사용자 후기 분석을 중심으로)

  • Purpose: This study introduces a systematic framework to evaluate service satisfaction of cosmetic brands through online review analysis utilizing Text-Mining technique. Methods: The framework assumes that the service satisfaction is evaluated by positive comments from online reviews. That is, the service satisfaction of a cosmetic brand is evaluated higher as more positive opinions are commented in the online reviews. This study focuses on two approaches. First, it collects online review comments from the top 50 global cosmetic brands and evaluates customer service satisfaction for each cosmetic brands by applying Sentimental Analysis and Latent Dirichlet Allocation. Second, it analyzes the determinants that induce or influence service satisfaction and suggests the guidelines for cosmetic brands with low satisfaction to improve their service satisfaction. Results: For the satisfaction evaluation, online review data were extracted from the top 50 global cosmetic brands in the world based on 2018 sales announced by Brand Finance in the UK. As a result of the satisfaction analysis, it was found that overall there were more positive opinions than negative opinions and the averages for polarity, subjectivity, positive ratio, and negative ratio were calculated as 0.50, 0.76, 0.57, and 0.19, respectively. Polarity, subjectivity and positive ratio showed the opposite pattern to negative ratio, and although there was a slight difference in fluctuation range and ranking between them, the patterns are almost same. Conclusion: The usefulness of the proposed framework was verified through case study. Although some studies have suggested a method to analyze online reviews, they didn't deal with the satisfaction evaluation among competitors and cause analysis. This study is different from previous studies in that it evaluates service satisfaction from a relative point of view among cosmetic brands and analyze determinants.

  • This paper makes a detailed comparison between two metrics designed for measuring customer's satisfaction in the retail industry. The first metric, which is called the customer service level, has not been widely used due to the intrinsic requirement on the parameter assumption(s) of the demand distribution. Unlike the customer service level metric the in stock ratio metric does not require any requirements on the demand distribution. And the in stock ratio metric is also very easy to understand the meaning. To develop the detailed planning activities for business with the in stock ratio metric on hand one should collect some information as following : 1) POS (Point of sales) data, 2) Inventory Data 3) Inventory Trend.

  • This study explores a user as a customer and analyzed a customer centered contents service based on the customer value and customer satisfaction. This study showed that revisit of the site and content purchase are strongly affected by contents quality, service, and cost. Especially, the ratio of satisfaction of the complaint-response time and customer support system in comparison to the quality and cost factors was low. Therefore, library and information center need to improve the contents service in terms of customer relation.

  • Recently, companies are trying to gain a competitive advantage in the market to meet the voice of customer. For this purpose, QFD has been used as product development technology in many areas to include the customer' requirements. Also, Kano model has been used to understand the customer' requirements for an effective way. Therefore integration of Kano model and QFD can more efficiently reflect the customer' requirements when designing a new service. This paper proposes PI index by taking into account the current satisfaction position of our company and competitors while IR (Improvement Ratio) value was set uniformity. This study suggests a more accurate index to predict potential improvements and calculates the final importance or priority. Through case studies targeted at elevator maintenance companies, we can have a general idea how much to improve in the near future and estimate the final importance of customer requirements.

  • The authors examine the service quality of the National Library of Korea and its effects on the customer satisfaction and the annual number of visit. In particular this article tests the actual effects of the extension of opening hour that has been famous for increasing ratio of library operation and employing more librarians. A survey of 332 customers was conducted to measure individual perceptions on the customer service and satisfactions and estimate structural equation models across two time slots: the daytime, and night hour. The major findings of this study are that the service quality tends to increase customer satisfaction.

Development of Performance Indicators Based on Balanced Score Card for School Food Service Facilities (균형성과표(BSC)개념을 적응한 학교급식 운영성과 측정지표 개발)

  • This study raised the necessity of developing performance indicators for measuring the management efficiency and effectiveness of school food service, and as a means of helping its implementation, a balanced score card (BSC) approach developed by Norton and Kaplan was adopted. This study established BSC in seven phases through literature: Phase 1 Defining a school food service and the scope of working activities, Phase 2 Establishing the vision of a school food service, Phase 3 Setting strategic goals, Phase 4 Identifying critical success factors (CSFs), Phase 5 Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Phase 6 Extracting cause and effect relationship, and Phase 7 Completing a preliminary BSC. The preliminary BSC was fumed into a survey, which was administered to food service related people working at the Office of Education and School Food Service including 16 offices,209 dietitians, 48 school administrators both from self-operated and contract-managed, and 9 experts in areas related to school food service. They were asked questions about strategies from 4 different perspectives,12 CSFs, 39 KPls, and the cause and effect relationships among them. As a result, among the CSFs based on 4 different perspectives, all factors other than ' zero sum on profit/loss ' from the financial perspective turned out to be valid. In terms of KPIs, manufacturing cost percentages, casualty loss count/reduction rates, school foodervice participation rates, and sales goal achievement rates were found to be valid from the financial perspective, while student satisfaction index, faculty satisfaction index, leftover ratio, nutrition educational performance count, index of evaluating nutrition education, customer claim count/reduction rate, handling customer claim count/reduction rate, and parent satisfaction index were found to be valid from the customers' perspective. Besides, nutritional requirement sufficient ratio, nutritional management score, food poisoning outbreak count, employee safety accident count, sanitary inspection assessment index, meals per labor hour (productivity index), computerization ratio, operational management index, and purchase management assessment index were also found to be valid from the perspective of internal business processes. From the perspective of innovation and learning, employee turnover ratio/rate of absenteeism, annual education and training count, employee satisfaction index, human resource management assessment index, annual menu-related customer feedback, food service information index for employees and parents/schools were also found to be valid. The significance of this study is to present indices for measuring overall performance of school lunch food service operations without putting any limitation on types of school food service management, and to help correctly assess the contribution of the current types of school food service management to schools and students. This is a reflection of mobile shopping market growing as huge market. This thesis deals with the growth of mobile market and mobile shopping mall application regarding the clothings which occupy high ratio in mobile market. This study aims to improve customer satisfaction based on more specific customer information, and to increase the satisfaction of both company and customer by lowering the return rate.
