A Fault Calculation Method for Loop Structured Distribution Feeders (루프운전 배전선로의 고장계산 방법)

  • Loop system arrangement in the primary distribution system has been increased for higher reliability of power supply to the customer. This paper presents a new fault calculation method for the loop structured unbalanced distribution feeders. Mathematical modeling method of the distribution system and superposition principal based fault calculation procedures are provided. In order to establish feasibility of the proposed method, various case studies have been performed using Matlab power system toolbox.

  • Recently, power-electronics equipments or machine that microprocessor is included and computers have been installed continuously in industrial process or region of electronics customer. So concern for power quality, especially sags has been increased. Because those equipments are very sensitive to sags. The sag is phenomenon that magnitude of load voltage temporarily decreases because of power system fault. If a certain equipment in industrial process have any trouble result from sag, it can cause utility to be charged for enormous economics loss. Therefore it need to analyze the characteristic of sag and then mitigation method for sags in distribution system in oder to increase reliability. This paper gives an overview of sags characteristic due to short circuit fault in distribution system and after a general discussion of the various forms mitigation, gives a sags mitigation method with concentrating on mitigation-device interface method, especially FCL that is Fault Current Limiter.

  • As the scale of industries expands, the facilities of the industrial customer become larger and more complex. When a fault occurs in the system, the circuit breakers play an important role in minimizing causalitites by quickly tripping the faulted line. Since the capacity of the receiving-end has increased in size, an examination is needed to be performed between the industrial customers and the conventional circuit breakers. The transient recovery voltage, which is the initial transient characteristics of the voltage across the breaker when tripped, is an important factor in determining the circuit breaker's performance. In this paper, a TRV analysis on the large-scale industrial customer is being performed utilizing PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • This paper represents the fast and efficient load transfer guide for fault or outage restoration in distribution system. For restoration guide, system trace is performed to reverse direction(source side) from tie breaker in tree-structured distribution network. Search space and breaker's combinational number for restoration guide are greatly reduced. It is proposed the load transfer method including first stage restoration(single load transfer, double load transfer, triple load transfer), second stage restoration(transferring load to neighboring feeder in order to expand the capacity margin) and load cutoff guide. The proposed method can be easily applied to primary customer restoration, multi-fault recovery and distribution automation system.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of institution trust on customer-orientation of hotel practician. Comparison between two types of governance structure demonstrated that the relationship between institution trust and customer-orientation were significantly different each other. As hypothesized, influence of organization trust on customer-orientation was much stronger in privately owned organizations than that of public ownership organizations. In the test of mediating effect of job engagement between two variables were statistically significant Based on the results from SEM model, we can suggest that improvement of institution trust need to be emphasized through the rational introduction of customer-oriented system, establishing priority task system according to individual business criticality, admission and enhance of fault. Empirical evidences from structural equation model support the governance type positively influence the job attitude in service organizations.

  • This study is to estimate the learning curve based on the consequences of reduced voice of customer from each telecommunication service products. We used Exponential Decay Model, which is the most popular among the learning curve models. We attempted to add how VOC changes in accordance with seasonal factors, human resource input, application of software, and the investment. The results of the empirical analysis of each service product as follows: First, as learning curve, customer complaints decreased. Second, human resource input, Network fault make increase or decrease customer complaints(VOC). Third, even though increasing the customer's quality of experience, VOC would not decrease due to service paradox.

  • The software reliability growth depends on the testing time because the failure rate varies whether it is long or not. On the other hand, it might be difficult to reduce failure rate for most of the cases are not available for debugging during operational phase, hence, there are some literatures to study that the failure rate is uniform throughout the operational time. The failure rate reduces and the reliability grows with time regardless of debugging. As a result, the products reliability varies with the time duration of these products in point of customer view. The reason of this is that it accumulates the products experience, studies the exact operational method, and then finds and takes action against the fault circumstances. I propose the simple model to represent this status in this paper.

  • This paper proposes an advanced reclosing scheme to improve power quality in power distribution systems. When a fault occurs in distribution system, the proposed schema determines the number of reclosing shots and its intervals according to the magnitude of fault current. Thus, an advanced reclosing scheme takes account of the power quality problem in customer\`s and the damage in electric facilities. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, a numerical simulation that calculates various indices to consider the reliability and the other effects on electric facility, in carried out with actual field data.
