  • A theoretical model has been studied to describe the sound radiation analysis for structure vibration noise of vehicle tires under the action of random moving line forces. When a tire is analyzed, it had been modeled as curved beams with distributed springs and dash pots that represent the radial , tangential stiffness and damping of tire, respectively. The reaction due to fluid loading on the vibratory response of the curved beam is taken into account. The curved beam is assumed to occupy the plane y=0 and to be axially infinite. The curved beam material and elastic foundation are assumed to be lossless Bernoulli-Euler beam theory including a tension force, damping coefficient and stiffness of foundation will be employed. The expression for sound power is integrated numerically and the results examined as a function of Mach number, wave-number ratio and stiffness factor. The experimental investigation for structure vibration noise of vehicle tire under the action of random moving line forces has been made. Based on the Spatial Transformation of Sound Field techniques, the sound power and sound radiation are measured. Results strongly suggest that operation condition in the tire material properties and design factors of the tire govern the sound power and sound radiation characteristics.

The material of curved beam and elastic foundation are assumed to be lossless, and governed by the law of Bernoulli-Euler beam theory. The expression for sound power is integrated numerically and its results examined as a function of Mach number(M), wavenumber ratio(.gamma.) and stiffness factor(.PSI.). The experimental investigation for structural vibration noise of tire under the action of random moving line forces has been made. Based on the STSF(Spatial Transformation of Sound Field) techniques, the sound power and sound radiation are measured. The experimental results show that operating condition, material properties and design factors of the tire have a great effect on the sound power and sound radiation characteristics.

  • The shape of floral pattern in the period of Rococo are a pots, a flower and ribbon style, a flower and a stripe style, a lace style and a scene style etc, and also in that time an apperance of softness of curved line, delicacy and smoth line, irregular and unrestraint line, motive of tiny and extra ordinarily, little bunch of flowers, and stripe style was a feature. Printing was fantastic with exotic in development of chintz due to effection of orient. The based on a salon civilization, the refind beauty of taste of royalty gave a refinded feeling with over affectionate in preference with a softness of curved line, and a motive of tiny and extra ordinarily. The classical beauty of elegant was realistic in being concentrated on building up blance and homony. The natural beauty of romantic was in being devoted the theme with soft and fantastic.

Characterization of Radial Stress in Curved Beams

  • Curved glued laminated timber (glulam) is rapidly coming into the domestic modern timber frame buildings and predominant in building construction. The radial stress is frequently occurred in curved beams and is a critical design parameter in curved glulam. Three models, Wilson equation, Exact solution and Approximation equation were introduced to determine the radial stress of curved glulam under pure bending condition. It is obvious that radial stress distribution between small radius and large radius was different due to slight change of neutral plane location to center line. If the beam design with extremely small radius, it should be considered to determine the exact location of maximum radial stress. The current standard KSF 3021 was reviewed and would be considered some adjustment determining the optimum radius in curved glulam. Current design principle is that the stress factor is given by the curvature term only in constant depth of the beam, but like tapered or small radius of beams, the stress factor by Wilson equation was underestimated. So current design formula should be considered to improvement for characterizing the radial stress factor under pure bending condition.

Zr-2.5Nb 압력관의 휘어진 CT시편으로 측정한 J 저항곡선의 정확도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Accuracy of J-Resistance Curves Measured with Curved Compact Tension Specimen of Zr-2.5Nb Pressure Tube)

  • Methodology based on the elastic-plastic fracture mechanics has been widely accepted in predicting the critical crack length(CCL) of pressure tubes of CANDU nuclear plants. A conservative estimate of CCL is obtained by employing the J-resistance curves measured with the specimens satisfying plane strain condition as suggested in the ASTM standard. Due to limited thickness of the pressure tubes the curved compact tension(CT) specimens taken out from tile pressure tube have been used in obtaining J-resistance curves. The curved CT specimen inevitably introduce slant fatigue crack during precracking. Hence, effect of specimen geometry and slant crack on J-resistance curve should be explored. In this study, the difference of J integral values between the standard CT specimens satisfying plane strain condition and the nonstandard curved CT with limited thickness (4.2mm) is estimated using finite element analysis. The fracture resistance curves of Zr-2.5Nb obtained previously by other authors are critically discussed. Various finite element analysis were conducted such as 2D analysis under plane stress and plane strain conditions and 3D analysis for flat CT, curved CT with straight crack and curved CT with slant crack front. J-integral values were determined by local contour integration near the crack tip, which was considered as accurate J-values. J value was also determined from the load versus load line displacement curve and the J estimation equation in the ASTM standard. Discrepancies between the two values were shown and suggestion was made for obtaining accurate J values from the load line displacement curves obtained by the curved CT specimens.

  • The Electromagnetic Interference could occur due to power line on the telecommunication service. The Countermeasure is practised by legal law. Various affecting factors are described in the law. In this paper, an effect by pipeline especially in the ground, power feeding plant, and curved railway sector is analyzed as environmental factors which are not included in the law. By the practical measurement, it appears that the measured voltages on the spots with underground pipeline are grouped into lower voltage level, induced voltage tends to be high near power feeding plant, and also in the curved railway line. These analytical results can be meaningly considered in the application of countermeasure.

  • Korean High Speed Train(KHST) has been tested on the high speed test line in Osung site, since it was developed through the G7 Project Plan in 2002. It was also tested on the conventional line such as KyongBu and Honan Line to know the possibility of increasing the limited speed for the high speed trains. This paper introduces the method to improve the speed on the conventional line with body lateral acceleration among the several considered issues and explains the parameters related to those analysis, such as the cant deficiency, the radius of curve, speed and etc. When a train pass on the curved track, the lateral accelerations of body are divided into the quasi-static and the maximum accelerations according to the UIC 518 which is the international specification for testing and approval of railway vehicles from the point of view of their dynamic behaviour, especially for safety and ride comfort. This paper shows that it is safe and comfort from the results of test when KHST runs on the conventional line with the curves and proposes that the limited speed of conventional curved line could be changed to a little higher speed if the analysises of other fields are completed.

제하 컴플라이언스법 및 직류전위차법을 이용한 Zr-2.5Nb 압력관 휘어진 CT 시편의 균열시작 평가 (Evaluation of the Crack Initiation of Curved Compact Tension Specimens of a Zr-2.5Nb Pressure Tube Using the Unloading Compliance and Direct Current Potential Drop Methods)

  • The direct current potential drop (DCPD) method and the unloading compliance (UC) method with a crack opening displacement gauge were applied simultaneously to the Zr-2.5Nb curved compact tension (CCT) specimens to determine which of the two methods can precisely determine the crack initiation point and hence the crack length for evaluation of their fracture toughness. The DCPD method detected the crack initiation at a smaller load-line displacement compared to the UC method. As a verification, a direct observation of the fracture surfaces on the curved compact tension specimens was made on the CCT specimens experiencing either 0.8 to 1.0 mm load line displacement or various loads from $50\%\;to\;80\%$ of the maximum peak load, or $P_{max}$. The DCPD method is concluded to be more precise in determining the crack initiation and fracture toughness, J in Zr-2.5Nb CCT specimens than the UC method.

최소 위상 오차를 갖는 곡선 배열안테나용 Rotman 렌즈의 설계 (Design of Rotman Lens for Curved Array Antenna with Minimal Phase Error)

  • 컨포멀 배열에 적용할 수 있는 곡선 배열안테나용 Rotman 렌즈의 설계 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 곡선 배열안테나와 연동하여 Rotman 렌즈의 평행판 영역에 존재하는 배열 포트의 위치와, 배열 포트와 배열안테나 소자를 연결하는 전송선의 길이를 구하는 설계식을 유도하고, 이 설계식을 바탕으로 빔 곡선 최적화 절차와 재초점 절차를 통하여 위상 오차를 최소화하고 있다. 제안된 설계식과 설계 절차에 의해 설계된 Rotman 렌즈는 정확히 3초점을 보유한 채 직선 배열안테나뿐만 아니라, 원곡선, 포물선, V자형 곡선 등의 오목하거나 볼록한 배열안테나를 급전할 수 있으며, 최소의 위상 오차를 나타내고 있다.

  • For the effective manufacture of doubly curved metal plates, a line array roll set (LARS) process is proposed. The suggested process utilizes a pair of upper and lower symmetric roll assemblies. In the process, the initial plate is progressed into the final shape in a stepwise or pathwise manner according to the basic principle of the incremental forming process. The deformation proceeds simultaneously in the longitudinal and transverse directions. Moreover, there is a close correlation between the deformation in the longitudinal direction and that in the transverse direction of the plates. Therefore, the finally formed shape in the incremental forming process is strongly dependent upon process conditions, such as the forming path and the forming increment. The manufacturing of arbitrary doubly curved plates with various curvatures is not an easy task because of such complicated behaviors of the plate; thus, the forming schedules for the desired shape should be carefully and accurately designed. In this study, several experiments with the LARS system were carried out for the fundamental investigation on process design for manufacturing of doubly curved plates.
