국내 절토 비탈면 설계기준 적용시 사면경사와 강우조건의 영향 연구 (A Study on the effect of slope inclination and rainfall in current cut soil slope design criteria)

  • In this study, the effects of slope inclination and rainfall on weathered soil slope stability were investigated for current cut soil slope design criteria. A series of slope stability analysis was performed on the slopes with the same height (5m), but different inclinations (1:0.8, 1:1, 1:1.2, 1:1.5, 1:2). Seepage analysis was also conducted to examine the rainfall effects directly and compare the combined seepage and slope stability analysis results with the slope stability analysis results for rainy season from the current cut soil slope design criteria. Typical properties for weathered soils were used in both the slope and seepage analysis. The analysis results showed that, for the slopes much steeper than the standard slopes, the factor of safety criteria were satisfied. Therefore, it appears that the slope designs by current cut soil slope design criteria lead to conservative results.

강우시 토사사면의 불포화 특성을 고려한 간편 설계법 (A Simple Design Method Considering Unsaturated Soils Characteristics of Slopes Under Rainfalls)

  • 국내의 사면붕괴는 대부분 우기 또는 해빙기에 집중적으로 되고 있는 실정이며, 이에 따라 최근의 강우시 토사사면의 설계기준은 보수적인 관점에서 지표면에 지하수를 위치시켜 놓고 사면안정성을 평가하고 있어 설계자의 관점에서 볼 때 지나치게 보수적인 경향이 있다. 그러나 강우시 토사사면을 합리적으로 설계하기 위해서는 강우조건 및 토사사면의 불포화 특성을 고려하여야 하며 이를 위해서는 토사사면의 불포화 특성을 파악하기 위한 실내시험 및 강우조건에 따른 침투류 해석 등이 수행되어야 하는 어려움이 있어 보수적인 관점에서 기존의 설계기준에 따라 토사사면의 설계가 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 별도의 침투류 해석 없이 강우시 토사사면의 불포화 특성을 고려한 간편 설계법을 제안하고자 하며, 이에 대한 검증으로 실제 붕괴된 토사사면을 대상으로 현행 설계기준에 의한 설계방법과 침투류 해석에 의한 설계방법에 대한 비교연구를 수행하였다. 비교검증 결과 현행 설계방법은 지나치게 보수적인 설계방법임을 확인하였으며, 본 연구의 간편 설계법이 강우시 토사사면의 안정성을 평가하는데 있어서 현행 설계방법에 비해 합리적인 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • 최근 집중호우로 인한 절토사면의 붕괴사고가 매년 반복적으로 일어나고 있는 실정이다. 절토사면의 붕괴로 인하여 인명피해와 도로유실 등 많은 재해를 일으키고 있어 절토사면의 유지관리가 필요하다. 절토사면의 유지관리를 위한 현황조사 양식중에서 일반현황을 살펴보면 피해지역의 위치를 도로상의 거리표와 경위도로 나타내고 있기 때문에 피해지역의 위치와 사면의 형상파악이 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 피해지역의 정확한 위치와 사면의 형상을 표시하기 위해 NTRIP서비스를 이용한 해양 DGPS기준국에서 수신하는 GPS 보정신호를 통한 NDGPS방법과 VRS 서비스를 이용한 방법에 대해 분석하였다. 분석한 결과, 두 방법 모두 실제 절토사면과 비슷한 형상의 사면이 나타나 차후 다른 연구지역의 절토사면조사에도 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Scour around vertical piles due to random waves alone and random waves plus currents on mild slopes

  • This paper provides a practical stochastic method by which the maximum equilibrium scour depth around a vertical pile exposed to random waves plus a current on mild slopes can be derived. The approach is based on assuming the waves to be a stationary narrow-band random process, adopting the Battjes and Groenendijk (2000) wave height distribution for mild slopes including the effect of breaking waves, and using the empirical formulas for the scour depth on the horizontal seabed by Sumer and Fredsøe (2002). The present approach is valid for wave-dominant flow conditions. Results for random waves alone and random wave plus currents have been presented and discussed by varying the seabed slope and water depth. An approximate method is also proposed, and comparisons are made with the present stochastic method. For random waves alone it appears that the approximate method can replace the stochastic method, whereas the stochastic method is required for random waves plus currents. Tentative approaches to related random wave-induced scour cases on mild slopes are also suggested.

  • Many cut slopes are located along national roads, there were the collapse of cut slopes. In this study, the weights for condition evaluation of rock slopes was calculated using the entropy method and analytic hierachy process(AHP) method. The entropy analysis was performed using 95 cut slope data, and the AHP analysis was performed by a questionnaire to several expert. The weights based on analysis results were compared with evaluation weights of existing standard. As a result of this study, there was the difference of weights among the analytical methods. Later on, if this study's results is used to improvement current evaluation weights, it will be possible to perform the reliable condition evaluation.

개선된 교육시설 인접 사면 점검체계 구축 (Development of an Improved Inspection System for Slopes adjacent to Educational Facilities)

  • This study presents an improved inspection system for slopes adjacent to educational facilities. For this, field investigations for 5 schools and 3 universities were performed to analyze the engineering stability of infrastructures, which ensure the safety of students and educational officers. Educational laws and the relevant enforcement are reviewed to understand the problems of current laws and enforcement. The results reveal that the engineering measures and reinforcement are required for the slopes of 36%. Also, the improvement of social awareness and regular inspection is needed to maintain the educational infrastructures. The suggested inspection system includes the fundamental and detailed checklists and guidance for non-engineering specialists.

Assessment of seismic stability of finite slope in c-ϕ soils - a plasticity approach

  • A forecast of slope behavior during catastrophic events, such as earthquakes is crucial to recognize the risk of slope failure. This paper endeavors to eliminate the significant supposition of predefined slip surfaces in the slope stability analysis, which questions the relevance of simple conventional methods under seismic conditions. To overcome such limitations, a methodology dependent on the slip line hypothesis, which permits an automatic generation of slip surfaces, is embraced to trace the extreme slope face under static and seismic conditions. The effect of earthquakes is considered using the pseudo-static approach. The current outcomes developed from a parametric study endorse a non-linear slope surface as the extreme profile, which is in accordance with the geomorphological aspect of slopes. The proposed methodology is compared with the finite element limit analysis to ensure credibility. Through the design charts obtained from the current investigation, the stability of slopes can be assessed under seismic conditions. It can be observed that the extreme slope profile demands a flat configuration to endure the condition of the limiting equilibrium at a higher level of seismicity. However, a concurrent enhancement in the shear strength of the slope medium suppresses this tendency by offering greater resistance to the seismic inertial forces induced in the medium. Unlike the traditional linear slopes, the extreme slope profiles mostly exhibit a steeper layout over a significant part of the slope height, thus ensuring a more optimized solution to the slope stability problem. Further, the susceptibility of the Longnan slope failure in the Huining-Wudu seismic belt is predicted using the current plasticity approach, which is found to be in close agreement with a case study reported in the literature. Finally, the concept of equivalent single or multi-tiered planar slopes is explored through an example problem, which exhibits the appropriateness of the proposed non-linear slope geometry under actual field conditions.

국내 절토 비탈면 설계기준의 해석적 평가 (Analytical Evaluation on Design Criteria for Cut Slopes)

  • 강우시의 비탈면 설계에서는 강우특성변화에 따라 지하수위가 지표면에 위치하는 것으로 가정한다. 또한, 안정성 검토는 비탈면 설계시 대절토 비탈면을 대상으로 수행하는 반면, 안정성 검토가 수행되지 않는 비탈면에 대해서는 설계기준에 규정된 표준 경사가 적용된다. 강화된 지하수위 적용기준에도 불구하고 강우시 비탈면의 규모와 관계없이 비탈면 붕괴가 지속적으로 발생되고 있다. 붕괴원인을 조사하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 지반 조건별로 건기시와 우기시에 대하여 국내 시방기준에서 제안하고 있는 토사 비탈면의 표준경사에 대하여 안정성을 검토하였다. 시방기준에서 제시된 비탈면 표준경사는 건기시나 우기시 모두 안정해야 함에도 불구하고, 검토 결과는 많은 경우에서 기준 안전율이 얻어지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 건기시의 경우는 전체 검토대상 조건에 대하여 약 50% 이상, 우기시의 경우 약 65% 이상이 기준 안전율을 만족하지 못하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 논문은 현 설계기준의 문제점을 지적하고 대책수립을 위한 방안을 제안하고 있다.

  • This paper presents a new current control method to reduce torque ripple of Brushless DC Motor during commutation. In the proposed control strategy, the current slopes of rising and decaying phase during commutation is equalized by the compensation voltage. By adding the compensation voltage for it to the current controller output, the reduced torque ripple can be obtained. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method reduces the torque and the current ripples significantly.
