전류제어 알고리즘에 의한 동기모터의 속도제어 (Speed Control for Synchronous Motor Using the Current Control Algorithm)

  • It is not easy to control the speed of AC motors accurately without modeling with some parameters for the controlled system. However, there are some application parts which do not require high speed responses strictly and the motor parameters can not to be identified simply. In this paper, a speed control method for a synchronous motor(S.M) with unknown parameters of the motor is investigated. The method is based on the current control algorithm. Speed controller and current controller are designed using PI control law. Some experiments are performed using DSP and power expert system to prove the validity of the proposed method. Throughout experimental results, the method is confirmed successfully. This method is expected to control the system with unknown parameters of the S.M efficiently.

  • The brake systems of high-speed train are to be equipped with three different brake systems, such as regenerative brake with regenerative feedback in driving car, a pneumatic disc brake, and non-contact linear eddy-current brake(ECB). The regenerative brake and the pneumatic disc brake are acting on the wheels. Their achievable braking force depends on the adhesive coefficient, which is influenced by the weather condition and speed, between the wheel and The linear eddy current brake gets an economical solution in the high-speed train because of the independence of the adhesive coefficient, no maintenance needed. and the good control characteristics. The braking force and the normal force of ECB for korean high-speed train are analysed by the 2D FEM(Finite Element Method). Finally the normal force is compared with the experiential values to verify the analysis.

$CO_2$박판 고속용접에서 용접현상 분석과 전류상승기울기의 영향 (Analysis of Welding Phenomena and Effect of Short Circuit Current Rise Slope in the High Speed $CO_2$ Welding of Steel Sheets)

  • In high speed $CO_2$ welding, it has been blown to produce no sound bead with undercut or humping bead. In this study welding phenomena through synchronized high speed camera and output welding voltage and current waveform has been analyzed. For the purpose to improve a welding bead, effect of short circuit current rise slope has been examined. With commercial power source it was produced no sound bead by instantaneous short circuit, long arc period and stubbing at welding speed 2.5mm/min Humping bead or undercut were showed by instantaneous short circuit and long arc period. Also, the weld bead was not formed during the long short circuit period after stubbing start and long arc extinguishment period after wire sticking by failure of arc regeneration, because the droplet was not transferred to weld pool. With increasing short circuit current rise slope the frequency of stubbing was decreased and the normal short circuit rate was increased. A control of short circuit current rise slope was effective factor in high speed welding.

A Simple Negative Torque Compensation Scheme for a High Speed Switched Reluctance Motor

  • SRMs(Switched Reluctance Motors) are much interested in high speed applications due to the mechanical robustness, simple structure and high efficiency. In spite of many advantages of SRMs, a higher torque ripple discourages the adoption of SRMs in a high speed application. This paper presents a simple negative torque of tail current compensation scheme using a modified TSF(Torque Sharing Function) for the high speed SRMs. Because of the short commutation in the high speed region, the negative torque from the tail current makes the high torque ripple. In order to reduce and compensate the negative torque from tail current, the proposed control scheme produces an additional compensating torque with a reference torque in the active phase winding. And the compensating value is dependent on the tail current of the inactive phase winding. Furthermore, the switching signals of the outgoing phase are fully turned off to restrict the extended tail current, and the torque error of the outgoing phase is compensated by the incoming phase. The proposed modified TSF control scheme is verified by the computer simulations with 30,000[rpm] high speed 4/2 SRM. The simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

전차선로 속도향상에 따른 오버랩 구간(Overlap section) 경간 구성 기법 (Research on Configuration Optimization of Overlap Section in Overhead Catenary System for High-speed Railway)

  • Overhead catenary system of electric railway has overlap sections which devide and tighten trolley wire supplying electric power to train, where current collection performances may become worse according to railway speed-up. Current collection tests conducted at 400 km/h test-bed section of Honam high-speed railway show that balanced line arrangement at overlap section is needed to secure current collection without arc generation between trolley wire and train current collection device. This paper proposes a design procedure of the overlap section to allow for tension increase and uplift of the trolley wires according to railway speed-up. By applying the proposed procedure to the overhead catenary system of Honam high-speed railway, it is suggested that the minimum span length should be 33.2 m for railway speed-up to 350 km/h and 43.7 m for speed-up to 400 km/h.

  • This paper describes current controlled PWM technique of PM synchronous motors for a wide variety of speed control applications. They are however limited in their ability to operate in the power limited regime where the available torque is reduced as the speed is increased above its base value. This paper reviews the operation of the PMSM drives when they are constrained to be within the permissible envelope of maximum inverter voltage and current to produce the rated power and to provide this with the highest attainable rotor speed. The optimal field-weakening control algorithm is the use of phase current and d-axis current feedback to reduce of error between the d-axis current command and real current and to improve the torque characteristics. The improved torque characteristics of speed control strategy with optimal field weakening control algorithm is analyzed and the performance is investigated by the computer simulation and experimental results.   • Electric plating is used in various industry field. Specially, pulse plating is able to deposit material at high current density compared to conventional DC plating. For example, pulse plating can get more fine grain, can improve adhesion and metal distribution and current efficiency, can reduce internal stress and crack. Therefore, we developed bidirection pulse power supply(BPPS) which has high speed pulse current and high current density and improve deposition quality and increase plating speed in this paper. BPPS(Bidirection pulse power supply) needs high speed rising time, falling time and output current accuracy. BPPS consists of rectifier part, chopper part, invertor part, and control part. Rectifier part changes outprt current direction.

  • The pantograph for Korean High Speed Train was developed and had been evaluating by through 'G7-R&D project' for home grown high speed train technology. In this paper, from the point of view in mechanical aspect, comparison study on the current collection characteristics between the KHST pantograph and contact wire in catenary system on the High-Speed Line and Ho-Nam/Kyoung-Bu conventional lines is conducted. A measuring system for the performance and mechanical characteristics of the KHST pantograph is used for this study, which was developed and installed on the Proto-type Korean High Speed Train, and physical characteristics were measured while the KHST runs on the High-Speed Line and conventional lines. Through this study, remarkable variations of characteristics which can affect to a current collection quality of high-speed train are found and analyzed from measured mean contact forces in both tracks.

  • A novel rotor speed estimation method using Model Reference Adaptive Control(MRAC) is proposed to improve the performance of a sensorless vector controller. In the proposed mettled, the stator current is used as the model variable for estimating the speed. In conventional MRAC methods, the relation between the two model errors and the speed estmation error is unclear. Yet, in the proposed method, the stator current error is represented as a function of the first degree for the error value in the speed estimation. Therefore, the proposed method can produce a fast speed estimation and is robust to the parameters error In addition, the proposed method of offers a considerable improvement in the performance of a sensorless vector controller at a low speed. The superiority of the proposed method is verified by simulation and experiment in a low speed region and at a zero-speed.

  • It is well known that speed of a direct current shunt motor is inverse proportional to flux. This paper presents speed expression to show that speed is not inverse proportional to flux. The presented speed vs. flux curves are verified by experimental result that shows the need of the revision of speed vs. flux curves shown in conventional text books.
