  • The objective of this study is to investigate the compressive strength property of antiwashout underwater concrete with curing water through experimental researches. Type of casting and curing water(fresh water, sea water) are used as main experimental parameter, additionally a few variables affecting compressive strength property are used ; water-cement ratio (45%, 48%, 50%, 52%, 55%), and unit weight of admixtures (antiwashout underwater agent ; 0.6%, 0.8%, 1.0%, 1.2%, 1.4% of unit weight of water, superplasticizer ; 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5% of unit weight of cement)) Compressive strength level of antiwashout underwater concrete which was cast and cured in fresh water is higher than other one. Consequently, incremental modulus has to increase when the antiwashout underwater concrete is made use of underwater work from ocean.

  • In this study, the experiment was conducted in the level of mortar as one of the basic studies on pre-cast concrete which acceleration curing is not done. This study has the purpose to develop the strength of mortar into 20MPa within 6 hours in the condition of room temperature using admixtures which can accelerate C3S hydration reaction. In this experiment, W/C was fixed into 20%, PCE which can stimulate C3S was used as an accelerating admixture. From the results of this experiment, maximum content of accelerating admixture was 1%. Also, as more than 20MPa was measured through 6-hour compressive strength, it can be known that strength can be developed without steam-curing.

  • Resins using recycled PET offer the possibility of a lower source cost of materials for making useful polymer concrete products. The purposed of this paper is to propose the model for the stress-strain relation of recycled-PET polymer concrete at monotonic uniaxial compression and is to investigate for the stress-strain behavior characteristics of recycled-PET polymer concrete with different variables(strength, resin contents, curing conditions, addition of silane and ages). The maximum stress and strain of recycled-PET polymer concrete was found to increase with an increase in resin content, however, it decreased beyond a particular level of resin content. A ascending and descending branch of stress-strain curve represented more sharply at high temperature curing more than normal temperature curing. In addition, results show that the proposed model accurately predicts the stress-strain relation of recycled-PET polymer concrete.

  • The strength level for removal of lining concrete in tunnel is increased from 2.94MPa to 4.9MPa in 2004. This result in the increase of concrete curing time, and construction time would be delayed. In this study, in order to improve the efficiency of construction cycle and satisfy the strength criterion, a curing method is adopted, which is considering the hydration heat in the lining concrete member. As a result, it is shown that the concrete curing time for form removal is about 20hrs without the adjustment of concrete mix design. And construction cycle time is not changed compared to that before the change of strength criterion.

  • This paper presents an experimentally investigation pertinent to the mechanical properties of rubberized mortar (RM) with styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). The SBR were used with constant water-to-cement ratio of 0.485 and two different volume proportion of SBR particles were utilized as aggregates. One types of SBR particles with fineness modulus of 4.951 were utilized 0%, 10%, and 20% of aggregate volume. Effectiveness of SBR replacement ratio, curing and aging effect on the compressive strength, flexural strengths as well as load-displacement. Compressive and flexural strength of concrete were investigated at the end of 28-days and 56-days age. Obtained results demonstrated that utilization of SBR reduced the flexural strength of SBR mortar at the earlier curing age while SBR increased. Moreover, mechanical properties of mortar mentioned above were significantly affected by the water cure timing with an increasing proportion of the replacement level of SBR.

  • This study is tocompare and analyze the results of hydration heat analysis and on-field measurements using the method with hydration heat difference and insulation curing method for controlling hydration heat in mass concrete. As a result of the analysis, the temperature difference between the center and the surface was predicted very similarly, and the mass concrete surface was controlled to a safe level when evaluating with a temperature crack index, and after being finished, it was confirmed that there was no hydration crack.

  • Many problems exist in the current cast in place concrete lining used in domestic tunnel construction. Especially, the crack of tunnel lining brings about a social and economic problem. It has a lot of influence on stability of structure and the fine finish of lining. So enormous repair-work and reinforcement of tunnel lining could occur an running out of government's budget. In our country, there are domestic production enterprises which produce a special pre-cast concrete product, but the technical level of them is still far behind compared to developed countries. Also, optimum steam coring method is important for the production of high quality product. But there is no regulation of steam curing method in our country. This study is to investigate the properties of PC panel according to the variation of steam curing conditions such as presteaming time and rate of temperature rise. The result shows that the optimum presteaming time of steam curing method in PC panel is more than 1 hour and the desirable rate of temperature in curing chamber is about $20^{\circ}C/hr$.

  • In this study, prediction of later-age compressive strength of ultra-high strength concrete, based on the accelerated strength of concrete cured in 50, 60℃ warm water was investigated. W/B of 32, 23.5, 19% 3 levels were examined. And the specimens were cured in 50, 60℃ warm water. The results showed reliable accuracy by regression relation between 28day strength cured by standard curing method and accelerated strength of the concrete cured in warm water. And the specimens cured in 50, 60℃ showed more high strength development. So 60℃ curing could be considered in order to reduce the measurement error. As a result, the feasibility of 50, 60℃ warm water curing method at high strength level was confirmed.

  • In this study, we conducted a comparative analysis of the effects of resuscitation after the re-application of mortar with much FA replacement on the degree of resuscitation. Results When NaOH was applied to the top of the mortar where 90% of FA was replaced, and maintained for 24 hours, the degree of resuscitation at $40^{\circ}C$ was completely improved. However, when medium curing was carried out, it showed a higher degree of compression than water or lapping curing at 10 MPa in 28 days. The degree of resuscitation on the 28th day was revived from around 10% of the normal level to about 20~30%, and it was analyzed that it was difficult to achieve the OPC reduction by any method.

  • This research was attempted as one of studies on the strength of mortar added admixtures at different curing temperatures. Variations of curing temperature to. test compressive strength, tensil strength and bending strength were $20^{\circ}C$, $30^{\circ}C$ and $35^{\circ}C$ and these results were summarized as follow : In strength of mortar added briquette ash, the compressive strength was increased: 1.58 percent, the tensile strength 0.96 percent, and the bending strength 1.26 percent compared with standard strength, by increasing one degree of celsius temperature. Also in strength of mortar added fly ash, the compressive strength increased on the average 1.3 percent, the tensile strength 0.99 percent, and the bending strength 1.18 percent at the above conditions. In case of using fly ash as admixture, maximum compressive strengths was attained at the level of 25 percent of fly ash, maximum tensile strength at the level of 20 percent of fly ash, and maximum bending strength at the level of 20 percent of fly ash. In case of using briquette ash, maximum compressive strength was attained maximum strength at 20 percent of the admixture, maximum tensile strength at the level of 15 to 20 percent of admixture and maximum bending strength at the level of 20 percent of admixture. Although addition of briquette ash was less effective in increasing the strength compared with the addition of fly ash, briquette ash might be used as one of admixtures because the control of curing temperature might affect in getting the required practical strength.
