원자력발전소의 온배수 배출량을 고려한 어업생산감소율 추정 모델 (A Quantitative Model for Estimating Fishery Production Damages as a Result of Thermal Effluents from Nuclear Power Plants)

  • A quantitative model was developed in order to estimate fishery production damage due to anthropogenically induced environmental changes. The model is described in the following equation, $Y_D=\frac{{\phi}_D}{{\phi}_G}[Y_0{\cdot}(t_p-t_0)-\frac{Y_0}{{\phi}_G}(1-e^{-{\phi}_G(t_p-t_0)})]$, where, $Y_D$ is annual amount of fishery production by nuclear power plant. ${\varphi}$ D and ${\varphi}$ G are instantaneous decreasing coefficient of fishery production by nuclear power plant and instantaneous decreasing coefficient of gross fishery production, respectively. $Y_0$ is annual mean fishery production without damages. $t_p$ is the present time, and $t_0$ is the starting time of damages. The model was applied to fishing grounds near a nuclear power plant on the east coast of Korea. Since fishery production damages have become bigger with increasing emission of thermal effluents from generators activities in the power plant, this factor has also been considered as, $\delta_{D_i}=\delta_D\({\sum}\limits_{i=0}^{n}\;W_i/W_T\)$, where, $\delta_{Di}$ is the cumulative damage rate in fishery production from generators, $\delta_D$ is the total cumulative damage rate in fishery production, $W_i$ is the emission amount of thermal effluents by generator i, and n is the number of generators in the nuclear power plant. This model can be used to conduct initial estimates of fishery production damages, before more detailed assessments are undertaken.

  • In Korea, the driving system restriction criteria is strictly applied(gross weight 400kN, axial load 100kN). Especially after the Seoungsu Bridge accident, safety factor has been strictly applied. The Safety factor is applied to the cumulative results for each steps like design, construction, maintenance of the Bridge. Because of it, the bridge is undervalued compared to its capacity. So, this generates loss for both private and military sector(eg. logistical delays, structural damage, etc.). But analyzing data from many existing researches we have confirmed that the military heavy vehicle may pass through the first class bridges. In consequence, this study have focused on determining whether HETS vehicles can pass over the first class bridge, without safety issues, using MIDAS structural analysis program. The results have confirmed that the military heavy vehicle may pass over the bridge.

  • In this study, pollutant emission characteristics by water damage period analyzed 11 items (water temperature, pH, DO, EC, BOD, COD, TOC, SS, T-N, T-P and flow) with load duration curve, time series load curve and factor analysis for three years (2014-2016). Load duration curve is applied to judge the level of impaired waterbody and estimate impaired level by pollutants such as BOD and T-P in this study depending on variation of stream flow. Water quality standard exceeded the flow of mid-range and low-range by flow condition evaluation using load duration curve. This watershed was influenced by point source more than non-point source. Cumulative excess rate of BOD and T-P kept water quality standard for all seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter) except BOD 59% in spring. Water quality changes were influenced by pollutants of basic environmental treatment facilities and agricultural areas during spring and summer. Results of factor analysis were classified commonly first factor (BOD, COD, and TOC) and second factor (flow, water temperature and SS). Therefore, effects of artificial pollutants and maintenance water must be controlled seasonally and reduced relative to water damage caused by point pollution sources with effluent standard strengthened in the target watershed.

LNG선용 INVAR(Fe-36%Ni)강 Lap 이음부의 피로강도와 허용응력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Strength and Allowable Stress of INVAR(Fe-36% Ni) Steel Lap Joint Applied to Cargo Containment of LNG Carrier)

  • This paper is to evaluate the fatigue strength of lap joints of materials applied to LNG carrier cargo containment of GAZ-TRANSPORT(GT) type, which was welded by manual and automatic TIG welding process. The thicknesses of lapped members were 1.5mm/1.5mm or 1.5mm/0.7mm in Invar to Invar joint, and 1.5mm/8.0mm in Invar to stainless steel joint, respectively. These lap joints were mainly applied to the membrance fabrication of GT-LNG carrier. Fatigue tests of Invar/Inar lap joints were conducted under the stress ratio R=0 at room temperature. The effect of mean stress and cumulative fatigue damage on the allowable stress of Invar lap joint was evaluated on the basis of test results. Fatigue test was also conducted on Inver/Stainless steel lap joints welded by automatic TIG process without filler metals. The fatigue test of the joint was carried out under the same conditions as those of Invar/invar lap joints. The fatigue strength of the joint welded without filler metal was comparable to those welded with filler metal quoted from reference. The fatigue strength of Invar/stainless steel lap joint was only dependent on the lap throat thickness, and not on the welding process. Based on test results, the applicability of TIG welding process without filler metal in Invar/stainless steel lap joint was reviewed by controlling welding variables to assure the valid throat thickness of lap joints.

항공기 엔진 지지구조물의 피로수명 해석에 관한 연구 (Study on Fatigue Life Estimation for Aircraft Engine Support Structure)

  • 항공기 구조는 신뢰성 보장을 위해 피로하중에 대한 수명예측이 중요한 분야로 고려되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 항공기 비행안전과 가장 밀접한 엔진 지지구조물을 대상으로 S-N 곡선과 등가응력을 이용하여 선형누적손상 이론을 적용한 피로수명 해석을 수행하였다. 내추락 하중 조건에서 정적강도 해석의 최대응력은 가위형 링크 부위에 1,080MPa를 나타내었으며, 이는 온도감소계수를 적용한 허용응력보다 약 5%의 여유를 가지고 있다. 피로하중 조건에서 최대응력은 가위형 링크 부위에 876MPa로 가장 높았으며, 이 때 응력방정식 계수도 0.019MPa/N으로 최대를 나타내었다. 피로수명 해석에 의한 안전수명은 가위형 링크 상단부에 있는 프레팅 영역이 416,667H이고, 다른 부위는 무한수명이 산출되어, 항공기 엔진 지지구조물(가위형 링크, 직선형 링크)은 피로수명 요구도를 충족하는 것으로 확인되었다.

경사제 피복재의 유지관리를 위한 추계학적 Markov 확률모형의 개발 (Development of Stochastic Markov Process Model for Maintenance of Armor Units of Rubble-Mound Breakwaters)

  • 경사제 피복재의 시간에 따른 파괴확률을 산정할 수 있는 추계학적 Markov 확률모형을 개발하였다. 하중발생에 대한 CP/RP 해석과 누적피해사건에 대한 DP 해석을 결합하여 수학적 모형을 수립하고 경사제 피복재에 적용하였다. 피복재의 피해수준에 대한 정의와 MCS 기법을 이용하여 이행확률을 산정하고 분석하였다. 산정된 이행확률들은 확률적으로나 물리적으로 만족해야하는 제약조건들을 잘 충족한다. 또한 경사제 피복재의 설계와 관련하여 중요한 변수로 생각되는 재현기간 및 안전율의 변화에 따른 시간 의존 파괴확률을 산정하여 그 거동 특성을 자세히 비교 분석하였다. 특히 시간 의존 파괴확률이 이전단계의 피해수준에 의해 어떻게 달라지는지를 정량적으로 해석할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 유지관리에서 가장 중요한 보수보강 시점을 결정할 수 있는 두 가지 접근방법을 제시하고 경제성 분석을 포함한 다양한 해석이 수행되었다.

지능형 복합재 구조물에 대한 광섬유센서의 적용에 관한 연구 (A study on the application of optical fiber sensors to smart composite structures)

  • 본 연구에서는 광섬유센서를 지능형 복합재 구조물에 적용하기 위한 기초적 연구의 일부로서, 구조물내에서의 광섬유센서의 건전성 평가와 주조물에 유발된 변현 및 손상에 대한 광섬유센서의 신호검출 거동을 연구 검토하였다. 첫째로, 최약체결파손이론에 거한 광섬유센서의 누적파손분포를 비교하고 수정계수를 도입함으로써, 굽힘시험이 인장시험을 대신할 수 있음을 보였다. 실험에 의해 Weibull 파라미터를 얻고, 굽힘시험에서 유도된 누적파손분포에 적용될 수정계수를 구했다. 열처리한 강섬유센서와 열처리하지 않은 광섬유센서의 인장강도 평균값을 비교함으로써 복합재료 적층관의 경화 사이클 동안 열처리에 의해 야기되는 광섬유센서의 건전성을 평가하였다. 둘째로, 직교적층판과 일방향적층판의 인장시험에서 측정된 시편의 응력-변형률과 삽입된 광섬유센서를 통과한 레이저신호 세기와의 관계를 검토하고, 광섬유센서를 이용한 효과적 손상검출 가능성을 연구 검토하였다.

선박용 압축공기 탱크의 피로강도에 관한 연구(I) (A Study on the Fatigue Strength of Compressed Air Tank for Ships(I))

  • The estimation of fatigue life at the design stage of the compressed air tank on board is very important in order to arrive at feasible and reliable solutions considering the total lifetime of the tank. In this paper the compressed air tank on board was selected as a model and the change of inside pressure of the tank during normal navigation period was measured and the cycle of fluctuation stress was presumed statistically based on this. Also the effect of stress concentration with the FEM analysis on the longitudinal weld and the mean stress effect on the fatigue strength of compressed air tank were discussed.

하이 스큐드 프로펠러의 피로강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Strength of Highly Skewed Propeller)

  • Recently there has been a remarkable increase in the number of high speed and large ships and the high power involved for propulsion of above ships has brought high pitch ratio and highly skewed propeller. The recent tendency toward highly skewed propeller has increased the load on propeller blades, and the fatigue strength of propeller blades has become the critical point in design of propellers for ships. In this paper the effect of stress ratio and skew angle on the fatigue strength of highly skewed propeller, the statistical inference on the total revolutions of highly skewed propeller for 20 years under normal sea going state. and so on have been discussed. On the basis of above discussions, the highly skewed propeller blade thicknesses by the rules of classification society and the standards of manufacturer in country were compared and reviewed.

원자로 직접주입노즐의 피로평가에 미치는 응력집중계수의 영향 (Effect of Stress Concentration Factors on the Fatigue Evaluation of the Direct Vessel Injection Nozzle)

  • A fatigue damage caused by cyclic load is considered as one of the important failure mechanisms that threaten the integrity of structures and components in a nuclear power plant. In ASME code section III NB, the fatigue analysis procedure and standard S-N curves for the class 1 components are described and these criteria should be met at the design step of components. As the current ASME S-N curves are based on the very conservative assumptions such as a local stress concentration effect, immoderate transient frequencies and a constant Young's modulus, however, they can not precisely address the fatigue behavior of components. In order to find out the technical solution for these problems, a number of researches and discussion have been carried out continuously at home and abroad over the decades. In this study, detailed fatigue analyses for DVI nozzle with various mesh density of finite elements were performed to evaluate effect of stress concentration factors on the fatigue analysis procedure and the excessive conservatism of stress concentration factors are confirmed through the analysis results.
