AI assistant, a software interface designed to interact with a user in a natural way and perform specific tasks on the user's behalf, receives increasing attention from both scholars and practitioners. While most of the literatures explain about technical aspects, little is known about the social and psychological factors that intimately influence consumers when using it. This study sheds light on the reason people use AI assistant and how perceived values influence on intention of continuous usage. A total of 361 AI assistant users participated in an online survey, and all were recruited from a major online panel in South Korea. The results from the principal component analysis suggest five social and psychological motives: self-expression, quality of life, entertainment, information, and compatibility. In addition, perceived values, informativeness, entertainment, and trustworthiness, positively predict the intention to use AI assistant. This research provides theoretical contributions from finding motivations of AI assistant usage and from the effects of perceived values on the intention to use it. Practical implications should not be overlooked in this ever-expanding AI industry.

This study evaluated the quality and sensory characteristics of sulgidduk added with yam powder (5~20%) during 4 days storage. The moisture content of samples initially decreased as the yam powder content increased, but subsequently increased during storage. The pH values also increased during storage, although there was no significant difference. L values decreased and both a and b values increased as yam powder content increased. The decreased L values during storage were not significantly different from control group. The hardness of samples decreased with increasing yam powder content, while hardness of control group markedly increased during storage. Cohesiveness increased as yam powder content increased, and tended to decrease during the storage. Springiness also initially increased as yam powder content increased. No change was apparent during storage in control group or samples added with up to 10% yam powder, while springiness was decreased insignificantly in samples with over 10% yam powder. Lightness, yam odor and savory taste of sulgidduk tended to increase as yam powder content increased, while chewiness decreased. The savory odor was the highest in sulgidduk added with 10% yam powder. Sulgidduk added with 10% yam powder was the most preferred in appearance, taste, texture and overall preference.

This study was attempted to identify the effect of university students on their childbirth willingness, provide it as basic data for childbirth encouragement policies, and contribute to the composition of educational data. Multiple regression analysis of data from 195 university students using the SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. The more conservative the view of marriage (r=.142, p<.05) and the higher the degree of awareness of childbirth encouragement policy(r=.258, p<.01), the more significant the correlation was childbearing willingness. The conservative marriage values, youth job policies, and the degree of recognition of work-family balance support influenced the childbearing willingness, and these variables explained the childbearing willingness 9.2%.

In the global context, particularly in Christian nations, Christmas is considered a culturally and ethically significant time. In this study, we examine Charles Dickens' novel, "A Christmas Carol," and the celebration of Christmas in Korea. We explore the values of Christmas in Korea derived from the significance and importance of this novel. These values include repentance, empathy, compassion, and the importance of humanity. Korean Christmas is regarded as a time for practicing these values, bearing a message akin to the transformation of characters like Scrooge. Furthermore, "A Christmas Carol" conveys a message of improvement and change over time, emphasizing change and growth in Korean Christmas. People reflect on their past, correct their mistakes, nurture hope for the future, and experience personal growth and transformation. Additionally, the novel raises awareness of social injustice and inequality, offering alternatives. In Korean society, Christmas encourages the willingness to care for and help others, facilitating discussions and understanding of societal issues. For these reasons, "A Christmas Carol" is considered a culturally and ethically significant time in Korean Christmas, and the two are intertwined in various aspects. This study explores the interaction between cultural change and ethical teachings by 'A Christmas Carol' and investigates the impact of this work on Christmas culture and social change. It serves as the basis for emphasizing moral principles and humanity during the Christmas season, and this research provides suggestions for future research directions, aiming to deepen the understanding of Dickens' work and the importance of "A Christmas Carol." Through these efforts, it is expected that valuable insights into the connection between Christmas culture and moral messages will be gained. In this study, we will delve into the enduring appeal and cultural significance of "A Christmas Carol," discussing how this novel has evolved into a beloved holiday tradition and a true symbol of Christmas. We will also examine the adaptation of this novel into various media and its influence on holiday season celebrations. Insights into the impact of this novel on Korean society and its continued significance in modern times will be provided, suggesting a direction for a healthier and more desirable path for Korean society.

Organizational culture has been very important in the field of organizational behavior research for the past decade. Although there has been a growing interest in the organizational culture and organizational performance, there was few research in healthcare organizations. The objective of this study is to identify the relationship of organizational culture based on the Quinn's competing values approach, with job satisfaction and intention of turnover perceived by national hospital employees. The study setting was the national hospital. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires. The study sample consisted of 555 hospital employees. Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted to find the causal relationship of organizational culture, job satisfaction and intention of turnover.The major results of this study are as follows: the consensual culture, rational culture, and developmental culture in national hospital showed a strong relationship with job satisfaction and intention of turnover in contrast to other previous studies. This finding showed that task oriented and human related climate is more effective on job satisfaction than hierarchical culture in national hospital settings.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of organizational culture on job satisfaction of fire officials. Method : The subjects of this study were 251 fire officials in Gongju and Choengju province and Daejeon City. Data were collected using self-administering questionnaire from February 20 to March 20 in 2006. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS 14.0 program. Real number, percentage, mean and standard deviation were calculated, and t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression were analyzed. Result : The results of this study were as follows : 1. The job satisfaction was found to be significant positive correlations with full organizational culture(r = .595, p = .000). 2. The job satisfaction was found to be in significant positive with rational goal culture, open system culture and human relation culture. 3. How organizational culture affects the job satisfactions was as follows; 25.2% of core values of manpower, 6.3% of rational goal culture, and 4.9% of job initiative. Conclusion : Enhancing the job satisfaction of fire officials would improve personalized factors and changes rational goal culture.

Brunei Darussalam is a Malay Islamic Monarchy practicing and upholding traditional heritage. Brunei Darussalam is rich with tangible and intangible cultural heritage shaped by its way of life. One of the traditions maintained and preserved in the country is traditional textile weaving. The tradition covers both consumption and production. In the context of consumption, traditional textiles have multiple roles and symbolic meanings. In the context of production, the tradition showcases great skills and the distinctive cultural, social, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional values of the people of Brunei. This paper will explicate the distinctive values and characteristics of Brunei people from the practices of textile weaving.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between materialistic values and interpersonal relationship of adult university students and general university students and compare the two groups. The analysis was conducted using the SPSS Statistics 25.0 program targeting 228 adult students and 216 general students enrolled nationwide. First, as for the difference in the materialistic values of the adult and general university students according to the general characteristics, significant differences were found according to gender, religion, the type of school, grade, monthly income (allowance), monthly expense, items of expenditure, and hobby. Second, the analysis of the difference in the interpersonal relationship based on their general characteristics revealed differences based on gender, grade, monthly income (allowance), monthly expense, items of expenditure, and hobby. Third, the research subjects' materialistic values and interpersonal relationship showed a high correlation. Fourth, their materialistic values had significant effects on all the sub-factors of interpersonal relationship. The results of this study implies that materialistic values have negative effects on interpersonal relationship in both adult and general university students.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of age and gender on Eastern and Western cultural values imbedded in online advertising. This study conducted a survey of 180 men and women ages between 10s and 60s who lived in Seoul, Korea. They responded the acceptance degree of six online advertising emphasized three Korean traditional values and three Modern values. Research hypotheses of this study were the acceptance of cultural values in online advertising is different between ages, but similar between gender. The hypotheses were supported as the previous studies. Findings suggest several theoretical and practical implications that convergence between modern and traditional values is a more important variable to study in the research of online advertising.

This study investigated the effects of the addition levels of white kimchi powder and acerola juice powder, as natural sources of sodium nitrite and sodium ascorbate, on the quality of cooked ground pork products. Freeze-dried white kimchi powder was prepared and used after fermentation for 2 wk. Six treatments were included: control (100 ppm sodium nitrite and 500 ppm sodium ascorbate), treatment 1 (0.2% white kimchi powder, 0.02 % starter culture, and 0.1% acerola juice powder), treatment 2 (0.2% white kimchi powder, 0.02% starter culture, and 0.2% acerola juice powder), treatment 3 (0.4% white kimchi powder, 0.04% starter culture, and 0.1% acerola juice powder), treatment 4 (0.4% white kimchi powder, 0.04% starter culture, and 0.2% acerola juice powder), and treatment 5 (0.4% celery powder, 0.04% starter culture, and 0.2% acerola juice powder). The pH values were decreased (p<0.05) because of lower pH of acerola juice powder, resulting in lower cooking yields (p<0.05) in these treatments. CIE L* and CIE a* values of indirectly cured meat products were not different (p>0.05) from the sodium nitrite-added control. However, indirectly cured meat products showed lower (p<0.05) residual nitrite contents, but higher (p<0.05) nitrosyl hemochrome contents and cure efficiency than the control. Treatments 2 and 4 had higher (p<0.05) total pigment contents and lipid oxidation than the control. This study indicates that white kimchi powder coupled with acerola juice powder has substantial potential to substitute synthetic nitrite to naturally cured meat products, which could be favored by consumers seeking clean label products.
