This study utilized TEXTOM 6.0 to analyze recent trends in Korean tourism. Data was collected from September 31, 2022, to August 31, 2023, using 'Korean tourism' and 'domestic tourism' as keywords, targeting blogs, cafes, and news provided by Naver, Daum, and Google. Through text mining, 100 key words and TF-IDF were extracted in order of frequency, and then CONCOR analysis and sentiment analysis were conducted. For Korean tourism keywords, words related to tourist destinations, travel companions and behaviors, tourism motivations and experiences, accommodation types, tourist information, and emotional connections ranked high. The results of the CONCOR analysis were categorized into five clusters related to tourist destinations, tourist information, tourist activities/experiences, tourism motivation/content, and inbound related. Finally, the sentiment analysis showed a high level of positive documents and vocabulary. This study analyzes the rapidly changing trends of Korean tourism through text mining on Korean tourism and is expected to provide meaningful data to promote domestic tourism not only for Koreans but also for foreigners visiting Korea.
The purpose of this study was to identify development strategies of high value-added cultural products in order to help promote Jeonnam cultural tourism festivals. In order to achieve this purpose, we carried out a market survey of cultural products sold in cultural tourism festivals held successfully within the Jeonnam area. The subjects of this study were local festivals which were labeled as cultural tourism festivals by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism from 2000 to 2008. The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, a store survey was conducted to analyze the categories of products on offer. As a result, the most frequent product was accessories (46.2%), followed by clothing and miscellaneous goods (25.2%), ceramic products (14.8%), interior decoration products (9.1%), and stationery (4.6%). Secondly, in the design motif used for cultural products, most products did not contain festival or local images. Cultural products with festival images made up 47.2% of the range, while only 2.3% of products on offer contained local imagery. The remaining 50.3% of cultural products for sale did not use festival or local images. Finally, in terms of materials used, most products used metal (36.7%), followed by textiles (32.9%), ceramic (13.8%), wood (6.2%), plastic (6.2%), paper (3.6%), and leather (0.2%). For price range, 52.4% of product were equal to or below 10,000 won, followed by 33.1% between 10,000-30,000 won. The results of this study showed that the cultural products of Jeonnam festivals lacked symbolism of the region or festival itself. Furthermore, items and the price ranges were not diverse enough. A possible solution would be to address this short coming, but more importantly, design a marketing and commercial strategy tailored towards the promotion of cultural products which contain both regional and festival imageries.

VR already has various uses within the tourism sector. As VR technology continues to evolve, there is little reason to doubt that it will become more prevalent throughout society and the tourism sector in particular. In this paper, we plan to improve the VR content to the market possibility and competitiveness of VR content in the culture industry. Out of focus, lens dust, motion blur, blur effect were minimized to improve the simulation sickness which caused by the cognitive dissonance in the HMD. And also, the content was considered UI design for user's immersion.

In this paper, we propose a study to investigate the significant impact of digital technology on the development of the cultural industry and tourism. By collecting, selecting, and analyzing data on digital music products from 281 cities in China from 2005 to 2022, we confirm that well-known digital music products play a crucial role in promoting domestic tourism economic growth. However, their impact on the international tourism economy is not significant. Furthermore, these well-known digital music products can not only promote the development of the regional tourism economy but also influence the tourism economy of neighboring cities. The promotional effect of well-known digital music products is particularly important in fourth- and fifth-tier cities with rich cultural diversity and abundant tourism resources. Overall, well-known digital music products have a positive role in stimulating market vitality and promoting regional tourism economic development. These findings provide an important foundation for the integrated development of culture and tourism in the digital age and offer valuable insights for upgrading regional industrial structures and fostering regional harmonious development.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate visual arts policy during Kookmin government period(1998-2002). In the beginning, many artists had expected president Kim Dae Jung to enlarge arts support But the evaluation of them was very negative because the government was only interested in the development of cultural industry. First, I analysed the government expenditure in the visual arts. Department of Culture and Tourism took the responsibility of visual arts policy. The budget of arts and culture increased to 1 % of total government expenditure in this period. But the main factor was the increasement of cultural industry and tourism expenditure. The budget of visual arts in 2002 was only 6,600million won. Second, I analysed visual arts support programs. (1) The government introduced studio programs for the first time. For 5 years, 2 national studios and 23 public studios were established. (2) The number of art museum was increased to 62. (3) It introduced alternative space support program and supported 200million won annually. (4) Percent for art scheme reduced from 1% to 0.7% of total construction cost, but still 27 public sculpture gardens were built. (5) Business support for visual arts reduced because of IMF. (6) Also arts market froze and many commercial galleries were closed. (7) In order to revitalize region through arts and to promote international exchange of culture, Gwangju Biennale was created. Third, I analysed Arts Plan 2002. It had a radical limitation because it was established in the last year of Kookmin government period. Also it showed special favors to some arts organizations. In general, I think that positive outcomes are the introductions of the studio program and the alternative space support program. Especially alternative space support program enforced the diversity of visual arts, and encouraged creative young artists. But policy of arts market failed because of IMF and visual artists had to go through rough times.
As the cultures of the world are getting diverse and plural, many trials to find their own unique culture of their own national and racial characteristics are made where fashion and traditional culture is used as good materials; in Korea, this trend is also studied by many authors. To achieve this goal, this study recognized the importance of tourism industry by inviting hosting of international event like '2005 APEC Summit Conference and Economical Ministers' Conference', and invented a uniform design that can make identification in the world market including Korea 'Gust' and 'Emotion' in developing uniforms for employees of regular traditional restaurant or hotels that contribute to tourism industry. As a material of this study from this perspective, Soo Bok pattern among many other Korean traditional patterns were chosen, and used them to design uniforms by applying diverse expressions methods through modernization task. This study tried to suggest ideas in creating new designs with a modeling sense of our people, by emphasizing on tradition motive through analysis of conditions and problem regarding the current uniforms worn in traditional restaurants. The development of uniform that modernly reinterprets traditional patterns and design that uses tradition on modern design shows endless possibility of development of our uniform, and even shows the possibility of mixture between tradition and modernity. By applying traditional beauty not only in traditional restaurants but also in many places and businesses that foreigners frequently visit can allow to spread the excellency our culture; and the Korean uniform can be successful in the international market as Korean will have pride in our tradition by wearing this new uniform.

A travel destination offers a form of novelty to the traveler since it can provide experiences that are not of the everyday variety. Therefore, a search for novelty is important as a motivation factor when planning leisure trips and vacation activities and to identify travel market segments. This study aimed to examine the differences in demographic characteristics, travel style, and preferred food-related activities in accordance with the level of tourists' novelty seeking. This study investigated potential tourists using a self-administered questionnaire survey, which resulted in 300 usable questionnaires. The respondents of this study were classified into two groups according to their level of novelty seeking: Active novelty-seeking group and Passive novelty-seeking group. These two groups were significantly different with respect to demographic characteristics, travel style, and preference of food-related-activity experience. The results show that the Active novelty-seeking group tended to have a higher proportion of females and specialized jobs, a higher level of monthly income and education, more frequent travel, and preference for food-related activity experience than other groups.
