This study aims to analyze the reserch result about housing history of multi-disciplines especially archeology, cultural anthropology, folklore, geography, archtecture and dwelling science. Each discipline has acted an important role to develop the research on housing history, even though they have some limitations. They usually failed in clarfying the relationship among physical housing, habitants and social environment. In order to overcome these limitations, this study suggests microsociological approach, so called "Housing Adjustment Model".del".uot;.

Recently, as the development of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology becomes active, the demand for services which can electronically manage the history and location information of major trees, including trees for cultural heritage restoration and nurse trees, has been increased. This information has been managed by separated drawings and documents or storing its information into PDAs and then structuring data files through input and computation. But, these methods imply limitations in terms of its extensibility and scalability. This paper has designed and implemented an RFID based Tree History Information System (THIS) for cultural heritage restoration. The purpose of the proposed system is to support to be able to effectively and consistently manage historical information of major trees and improve working processes by implementing mobile RFID services through wireless Internet or Local Area Network (LAN) as mobile communication networks. Through implementation, it is confirmed that the proposed system can manage the historical information of major trees more effectively than conventional methods and also improve previous field working conditions.

Works engraving enlightenment and ethnic identity by giving meaning and lesson to past events and great people against the past can be one of the good ideal art film contents. The animation reproduces the existing cultural archetypes, situation and history, when the 'Book of Kells' was produced, and the myths of the Kelts tribes. This thesis analyzes the history the kelts, traditional patterns and formative symbolism shown in , and studies the cultural preservation method unique to animation contents. In conclusion, the movie not only suggests a methodology that animation content is an effective way to preserve the culture and history of the native people, but also pursues the eternal, enlightening and teaching people for history.

Our investigation of the intricate relationship among nationalism, humanism, and imperialism begins from reading Song of Ariran, the auto/biography of Kim San recorded by Nym Wales, together with Margaret Drabble's fictional adaptation of Lady Hong's autobiography, The Memoirs of Lady $Hyegy{\breve{o}}ng$, in her novel The Red Queen, in which the story of Barbara Halliwell, a modern female envoy of Lady Hong, is interweaved with Lady Hong's narrative. In spite of their being seemingly disparate texts, Song of Ariran and The Red Queen are comparable: they are written by Western female writers who deal with Koreans, along with the Korean history and culture. Accordingly, both works cut across the boundary of fiction and fact, imagination and history, and the East and the West. In the age of globalization, Western women writing (about) Korea and Koreans traversing the historical and cultural limits inevitably engage us in post-colonial discussions. Despite the temporal differences--If Song of Ariran handles with the historical turmoils of the 1930s Asia, mostly surrounding Kim San's activities as a nationalist, The Red Queen is written by a twenty-first century British woman writer whose international interest grapples with the eighteenth-century Korean Crown Princess' spirit in order to reinscribe a story of Korean woman's within the contemporary culture--, both works appeal to the humanistic perspective, advocating the universal human beings' values transcending the historical and national limitations. While this sort of humanistic approach can provide sympathy transcending time and space, this 'idealistic' process can be problematic because the Western writers's appropriation of Korean culture and its history can easily reduce its particularities to comprehensive generalization, without giving proper names to the Korean history and culture. Nonetheless, the Western female writers' attempt to find a place of 'contact' is valuable since it opens a possibility of having meaningful communications between minor culture and dominating culture. Yet, these female writers do not seem to absolutely cross the border of race, gender, and culture, which leaves us to realize how difficult it is to reach a genuine understanding with what is different from mine even in these 'universal' narratives.

This study presents a new conceptualization of the history of Islamic astronomy. Islamic history is an embedded global cultural phenomenon and will be analyzed at different levels: a) the history of institutional aspects (observatories, including buildings), b) instruments, c) manuscripts, and d) scholars. This phenomenon will be analyzed as a multi-lingual phenomenon with Arabic as the language of sciences as a starting point. Although this is not a study of a geographical region in a narrow sense, it is a historical note on the entanglement of research written in Arabic, Persian and other languages and contextualized in a framework reaching geographically far beyond the confines of the Islamic world and being part of global history.

4차 산업 시대의 흐름에 따라 디지털 문화유산 컨텐츠의 생산이 이루어지고 있다. 문화재의 위치와 해설을 사용자에게 제공하거나 문화재 사진을 보고 이름을 맞추며 간략한 정보를 얻는 등 학습을 위한 어플리케이션이 제작되고 있으나 사용자 경험을 고려한 지속적 교육 컨텐츠의 개발은 부족한 상황이다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 게이미피케이션을 통해 사용자가 문화재에 대한 정보를 지속적으로 학습할 수 있는 모바일 어플리케이션을 제안한다. 사용자의 흥미를 동반하여 학습을 이어가기 위해 수집형 롤플레잉 게임 시스템을 응용하고 이를 크게 네 가지의 항목으로 세분화하였다. 이 연구를 통해 우리 문화유산을 활용한 지속적 교육 컨텐츠 개발에 기여하길 기대한다.

It is time to create an image of Korea that uniquely defines and represents the nation to the world, by incorporating Korean traditions with the cultural industry. To this end, it is important to see the beauty of Korean tradition from an academic perspective and further explore its utility from an industrial viewpoint. This study is intended to design uniforms for employees in Korean restaurants at hotels or docents in Korean-styled museums. In doing so, we eyed on Baeja, a Korean traditional vest as the cultural archetype, and created cultural products. As our archetype, we chose two pieces of Baeja : one excavated from the tomb of Suryun Sim (1534-1589) which is displayed in the Gyeonggi Provincial Museum, and the other from Byeon of the Jeonju Lee family (1636-1731) in Suk Joo-Sun Memorial Museum at Dankook University. We also adopted Dapho with a Korean traditional vest with long length. Based on these cultural archetypes, seven products were developed. With the traditional food and way of living in Korea being more and more recognized in the global stage, it would be continuous creation and development of cultural contents with history and story rooted in the cultural heritage of the nation that could enrich our culture by bringing traditions back to the modern days to incorporate the past into the present. It is important to restore traditions when developing cultural products. However, it is also critical to commercialize ideas with stoη and creativity in the market for cultural products.
