  • An architecture as a creative work can be expressed through its diverse conditions, such as humanitarian and social factors, the natural environments and also the each situations of that period. Thus, architects create their work based upon the experience that they have achieved in the past as well as the informations they have accumulated over the time. By this process architects used to achieve the design they hope to aim, whether it is made intentionally or not. This means that architects used to understand their works as it have the factors of the consciousness and the unconsciousness. This research looks to achieve a new design method by finding out how architects express the tradition in contemporary architecture through a psychoanalytic point of view. Hence, this research shall be a significance if it is applied to the process of modern architectural work with tradition concepts.

  • This study examines and analyzes residential environment and factors with partial region of Chungjang-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju based on land register and questionnaire. Consequently, most of residents are in their forties or over and working at downtown or place near it. It is found that rate of their own house is high and they live in the current house over 10 years. Residential factors at downtown area include its convenience, distance to workplace, convenient transportation and easy use of cultural and commercial facilities, but their consciousness of residence shows a low satisfaction with children education, air pollution, noise, parking facilities, green zone for making community, resting place, sunshine, view and privacy.

불가코프의 메타드라마 연구 (A Study on M. Bulgakov's Metadrama)

  • This paper focuses on the specificities and semantic meaning of Mikhail Bulgakov's metadrama White Guard and The Flight. The standard conception of metadrama is to purposefully break the dramatic illusion and make bare a playwright's self-consciousness of the theatrical art itself. With the use of the metadrama Bulgakov expressed the essentials of ugly reality, which he couldn't accept as a valuable truth. In this respect, Bulgakov's metadrama becomes at once a window, from which he views the external world in the theatrical vision, and a mirror, in which his political and existential stance as a playwright is reflected. In White Guard Bulgakov described the already theatricalized reality through several instances of 'play-within-play'. In The Flight, composed of eight pieces of dream, a life turned out to be a less solid and less firm reality than dream. Continuously demolishing the cognitive wall between reality and illusion, Bulgakov leads spectators to have a reflective view on the reality. Allowing more powerful demonstrativeness for a play-within-play than for a play-within-play, Bulgakov elevates a metadramatic technique to the level of thematic structure.

복합 문화공간 구조에 따른 실내환경이 이용객의 선택에 미치는 영향 (Indoor Environment Due to Multi-cultural Complex Space Structure Impact on the Choice of Guests)

  • Today, people are becoming more conscious regarding environmental-friendliness, and the society as a whole is becoming more aware of it. With such phenomenon, the purpose of this research is to examine how comfort and pleasantness of indoor environment influences when selecting a place for multi-cultural complex. To demonstrate the stated hypothesis, I have preceded the experiment by selecting the C multi-cultural complex of closed-type structure and T multi-cultural complex of open-type structure. The next step I took, in order to validate the public's awareness of environmental-friendliness, was conducting a survey. I then deducted a conclusion through comparison and analysis of experiment measures with survey result. As a result of the research, the experiment measures of each air, light, heat condition of the T multi-cultural complex of open-type structure had a higher measurement for the comfort and pleasantness than the C multi-cultural complex of closed-type structure. Moreover, after validating the consciousness of the public through the survey, they had a tendency preferring T multi-cultural complex of open-type structure over C multi-cultural complex of closed-type structure in terms of comfort and pleasantness. To summarize, it is proper to conclude that the criteria - comfort and pleasantness of indoor environment - has influenced significantly when it comes to selecting a multi-cultural complex through both the experiment and the survey result.

정암사의 건축적 특징에 따른 정비계획과 활용방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Renewal Plan and Practical Use Way according to Architectural Features of Jungam Temple)

  • Establishing a renewal plan and practical use of Jungam temple, which exists natural monuments, including national treasures and Gangwondo cultural materials, at Jungseon is as important as anything else. To discuss the renewal plan and the practical use of Jungam temple, this thesis is composed with the next series of processes. First, this thesis presents examining a relationship between Jajang, who was a buddhist monk and caused a departure point of foundation of the temple, and Jungam temple is necessary; thus, the relationship of his architectural consciousness and Jungam temple was showed in this thesis. Second, this thesis demonstrates present conditions for extant facilities and features of the space structure for Jungam temple to look into architectural characteristics of Jungam temple. Third, this thesis shows preservation of Jungam temple because this temple is the historic cultural resource; in addition, this thesis explains restoring of lost elements for points, repairing shipments regarding the whole area of preservation targets, expansion of the area nearby historic cultural resources to make plans for maintaining Jungam temple. Finally, this thesis concludes the final result of Jungam temple to work towards becoming the contemporarily historic cultural resource by designating Jungam temple as the historic site and suggesting energization by public participation and experience programs to continuously manage Jungam temple.

영미문화 교육에 대한 교사의 인식 연구 (English teachers' perception of teaching English culture)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate what English teachers think about what and how to teach culture, as a way of helping students build relevant background knowledge and enhance their motivation in learning English. A total of 300 teachers completed a self-report questionnaire in four areas: (i) their understanding and liking of English-spoken countries, (ii) their use of materials and tools for teaching culture, (iii) their consciousness of teaching culture, and (iv) their needs for culture learning in the teacher-training program. The results show that (i) they think American culture is dominant in EFL but they are much interested in British culture; (ii) they rely on internet most for their cultural experience while they think students get much of the cultural information from textbooks; (iii) they are very much conscious of the importance of teaching culture for improving students' English proficiency; (iv) they want to learn in the teacher training program more about cultural practice, which can be subsumed under the so called 'small c'. The findings suggest that (i) textbooks need to include contents to promote students' cultural awareness and foster intercultural competence, (ii) teachers should use authentic materials with appropriate adaptation, and (iii) a teacher training program should cover a wide range of contents and skills for teaching culture.

민족에 영향을 미치는 다문화 현상분석: 그린마케팅 관점 (Cross cultural studies in a case of ethnicity: Green marketing)

  • 이 논문의 목적은 문화적인 측면 및 인종과 관련하여 인도와 중국의 녹색 마케팅의 효과와 경향을 탐구하는 것이다. 이 두 나라는 경제력 측면에서 유망해 보이지만 다른 선진국에 비해 녹색 마케팅에 관한 의식이 부족하다. 여러 가지의 조치가 이러한 국가의 녹색 마케팅에 대한 인식의 증진을 위해 다양한 산업을 통하여 진행되고 있다. 이들 두 나라는 그린 마케팅의 영역에서 빠른 성장을 하고 있으며 그린 마케팅은 선행 연구에서 증명된 문화적 차이를 이용하여 그 방법을 개선해야 한다. 가까운 장래에, 보다 적극적인 녹색 마케팅에 대한 전반적인 환경 인식을 고양시키기 위해 인종에 대한 고려가 절실히 필요하다.

1990년대 이후 중국 당대 성장소설에 나타난 가족결핍과 그 서사적 대응방식 (A Study on Narrative Response to the Lack of Family in the Chinese Contemporary Growth Novel After the 1990s)

  • 본 논문은 1990년대 이후 발표된 여화(余華)의 "재세우중호함(在細雨中呼喊)"(1993), 소동(蘇童)의 "성북지대(城北地帶)"(1994), 왕강(王剛)의 "영격역사(英格力士)"(2004)에 나타난 가족결핍과 그 서사적 대응방식을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 삼는다. 소설에 공통적으로 등장하는 소재인 결핍된 가족은 존재의 부재를 뜻하기도 하지만 그 기능과 역할의 부재를 의미하기도 한다. 결핍을 야기하는 원인은 작품마다 서로 다르며 대응 양상 또한 차이를 보인다. 중국의 성장 서사는 오랜 시간 동안 전통의 유제와 여러 가지 정치적 압박 속에서 성장과정에서 일어나는 부모와의 갈등, 성장자 자신의 내면의 고통들을 집단의 경험 속에 매몰시켰다. 성장의 기억을 개인에게 돌려주기 시작했던 1980년대의 선취에 힘입어 1990년대 성장 서사는 지나간 연대의 강박과 피로에서 벗어난 작가들의 다양한 시도 속에서 더욱 풍부한 함의를 지니고 있다. "가랑비 속의 외침"은 친부모와 양부모에게 의도치 않은 '버려짐'을 당한 주인공의 심리적 고아의식을 보여주었고, "성북지대"는 부재된 가족에게 염증을 느끼고 또래 집단 속에서 위안을 받는 아이들의 서로 다른 성장의 이야기를 들려준다. "오, 나의 잉글리쉬 보이"는 동일시의 대상을 등장시킨다는 점에서 중국 성장소설의 주류적 서사와 구분된다. 개인의 성장은 그를 통해 진일보하고 결국 성장자 자신의 정체성을 확립하게 된다는 점에서 이 소설은 성장소설의 모범사례로 여겨진다.

초등학생의 양성평등의식에 관한 연구: 고학년을 중심으로 (A Study on Gender Equality Awareness of Elementary School Students: Focusing on Upper Grade Students)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교 고학년인 5, 6학년을 대상으로 양성평등의식을 확인함으로써 초등학교에서 효과적인 양성평등 교육을 위한 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 G시와 A시에 소재한 3개의 초등학교에 재학 중인 5학년, 6학년을 대상으로 연구에 관해 설명하고 연구 참여를 희망하는 190명을 대상으로 설문지를 사용하여 자료 수집하였다. 대상자의 일반적인 특성은 빈도분석과 백분율을 사용하였고, 대상자의 성별, 학년, 형제 수 등에 따른 양성평등의식에 따른 차이는 t-test와 ANOVA를 이용하였다. 양성평등의식은 4점 만점에 평균 3.47점으로 나타났고, 하위영역은 사회문화생활 영역은 평균 3.51점, 가정생활 영역은 평균 3.49점, 학교생활 영역은 평균 3.47점, 직업생활 영역은 3.38점으로 나타났다. 학생들의 양성평등의식을 키워줄 수 있는 다양한 활동을 전개해야 하며, 가정, 학교, 사회는 공동으로 양성평등한 문화 풍토 조성을 위해 노력해야 할 것이다. 향후 초등학생의 양성평등의식에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하는 연구가 필요하다.

수화 김환기의 만곡기표의 해석 -뉴욕시대를 중심으로- (Interpretation of Kim Hwan-ki's Curvilinear Signifier -Centered on New York Period-)

  • Kim Hwan-ki's New York Period works consistently present, as the central signifier, a curvilinear paradigm which has been derived from his creative consciousness. The purpose of this study is to bring to light what exists behind curvilinear paradigms; a fusion of history and society with the artist's individual consciousness as a fused aspect of history and society. To make this aspect suitably understood, this study focuses on curvilinear signifier which are analyzed and considered objectively. The results of which are as follows: It is a representative example of transforming a curved line which is the modern quotation of traditional Korean art, most directly works done in porcelain. He takes the aesthetic consciousness of Korean art as the power of his works and takes aim at the collective consciousness of all races. Looking through the background of his times, his artistic subject was to find the ethic characteristics of our excellent tradition and highlight them in his art. To him, art is not about making the most of a skill but instead about allowing one's inner spirit sing it's own song. This thought is conveyed in curvilinear signifier of his works. Therefore this study has asserted that Kim Hwan-ki's curvilinear signifier in his New York Period works has strong ties to the cultural vein of Korean history and society at it's base as well as simply in his individual level. This assertion is not to set form in a superior position as a Formalist but to show form as having the will to deal with the significance of an artist's mode by interpreting the experience of the interpreter.
