The purpose of this research lies in possible effects of a tourist development, that is, studying inhabitants' attitude who live in sight-seeing place toward economic, social, cultural and ecological influences. The research was performed by questionaires through a spot survey from 1997, 7. 1 to 7. 1. The analysis about the result is as follows: First, the Inhabitants gave the positive responses on the economic effect of sightseeing but didn't answer affirmatively to its social consequences-education, criminal rate of teenagers live the place, on the matters of cultural influence they showed both positive attitude and future orientated and they took great interest in that the tourist development could pollute their environment. Second, the Inhabitants put the income increase on the first place among every aspect and the need of holding exhibitions about history and culture of that region giving a positive image to visitor, making severer restrictions on people dump refuse at the region, tourist development and investment for the local area following position in order.

The 21st century is often dubbed as a century of culture. Many eyes are on various cultures including global and national ones. In particular regional cultures have emerged as a major interest. Korea's Jeonnam province which has been regarded as a backward region is not an exception in this regard. Its cultural contents which are still intact due to lagging development are drawing much attention. Growing interests and efforts to develop traditional cultural items like Jeonju's traditional paper, Naju's natural dyeing or Damyang's bamboo are good examples. This study is to focus on Damyang's bamboo relying on scientific approach and develop educational contents which demonstrate connections between science and culture. Thus, the study presents region-oriented educational contents based on regional cultures, which will bring about pride and affection toward regions and cultures.

Especially art marketing has increased consumers. expectation and interest about art activities. Also, art marketing has become important as it has helped consumers to have critical view about products and improve their standard of life. As a way of art marketing, a company provides diverse exhibitions, sponsors and education programs related to art in either a specific space of the company building or a separate place. It can be said that this example of art marketing is a kind of an image marketing and public welfare at the same time. This article presents the concept of culture marketing and current condition of company. s support for culture and arts. In addition, the article depicts the concept and classification of art marketing. Furthermore, through analysis of company exhibition space and programs, the article illustrates the features and typology of art galleries managed by companies.
This study focuses on women and fashion in Korea between the 1960s and 1970s, when the government regulated the socio-cultural aspects of individuals while achieving remarkable economic industrialization, particularly through the representative popular weekly magazine 'Sunday-Seoul'. The scope of this study included 168 issues from September 22, 1968 to December 26, 1971. Two research methods were applied, literature research and content analysis research. First, the literature on Korean society, culture, women's fashion, the sociological, feminine and popular cultural studies were reviewed. Thereafter, the contents, cover, articles, pictorials were collected and analyzed for classification and identification of the women's images and women's fashion. In the case of fashion articles, the contents of vocabulary and description texts were highlighted, and in the case of pictorials, the visual elements such as images, silhouettes of clothes, details of features, and patterns of materials were assessed. The images of women in Sunday Seoul's articles and pictorials exhibited extreme opposite, presenting the most important purpose of marriage, 'wise mother and good wife' and 'image of sexual object' for men. The two images of women differed; however, there was one more female image 'industrial laborer' which was placed in the blind spot of interest. The characteristics of fashion which appeared in 'Sunday-Seoul' were 'uniform modern elegance' based on neat mini-style, and 'sexual image of exposure fashion' which endeavored to selectively borrow from overseas pictorials and trend-oriented articles. This could be viewed as a 'transformation of traditional Hanbok', 'avant-garde trend' and 'de-sexualization & indifference of fashion'.
"Gongchengzuofazeli" was published by the Ministry of Engineering (工部) in 1734, the 12th year of the Yongzheng(雍正) emperor of China's Ching Dynasty. Its purpose was the standardization of building construction and the strengthening of management policies The book records exact measurements of every material used in the building, dividing the building into sections called "dugu (斗口)." It also contains records of the funds that were needed for fair management. Today, it has great historical value because it provides information as to the state of architectural technology and environment of that time. However, the research of Korean architectural historians tends to focus on the "Yingzaofashi(營造法式)" which was written in the Northen Song Dynasty. While the significance of "Gongchengzuofazeli" is widely acknowledged, not enough interest has been garnered to even begin a full-scale translation project. This article, by summarizing in the introduction the basic contents of "Gongchengzuofazeli" and a translation of the first volume in the body, seeks as its purpose to provide data to become the foundation of future research in this area.

Background: In the mining industry, various methods of accident analysis have utilized official accident investigations to try and establish broader causation mechanisms. An emerging area of interest is identifying the extent to which cultural influences, such as safety culture, are acting as drivers in the reoccurrence of accidents. Thus, the overall objective of this study was to analyze occupational health and safety (OHS) reports in mining to investigate if/how safety culture has historically been framed in the mining industry, as it relates to accident causation. Methods: Using a computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software, 34 definitions of safety culture were analyzed to highlight key terms. Based on word count and contextual relevance, 26 key terms were captured. Ten OHS reports were then analyzed via an inductive thematic analysis, using the key terms. This analysis provided a concept map representing the 50-year data set and facilitated the use of text framing to highlight safety culture in the selected OHS mining reports. Results: Overall, 954 references and six themes, safety culture, attitude, competence, belief, patterns, and norms, were identified in the data set. Of the 26 key terms originally identified, 24 of them were captured within the text. The results made evident two distinct frames in which to interpret the data: the role of the individual and the role of the organization, in safety culture. Conclusion: Unless efforts are made to understand and alter cultural drivers and share these findings within and across industries, the same accidents are likely to continue to occur.

The meticulous figure painting is one of the wonders of traditional Chinese painting and has blossomed in art history with its unique and interesting style. The period from the Warring States period to the Song and Yuan dynasties was a glorious period in its history, after which it tended to decline due to changes in painting materials and many socio-historical reasons. The extensive cultural exchanges in the world today, the penetration of Western values and the expansion of information technology have brought a huge impact on Chinese meticulous figure painting, which has developed an active way of thinking and expression after absorbing certain elements of Western culture and thought on the basis of inherited tradition. Contemporary Realistic Figure painters continue to explore new developments in meticulous figure painting in the contemporary context, and give contemporary meticulous figure painting a new cultural and ideological connotation, forming a new look that meets the requirements of the times, with richer and more lively content, subject matter and formal language. Traditional meticulous figure painting is characterised by a highly refined use of line and coloring composition. Contemporary meticulous figure painting focuses on the use of purely formal language and the expression of the personality of the creative subject, with a new outlook on the world of painting. In the contemporary multicultural context, new formal language and methods of expression are constantly being explored to create a new look. In the process of development, contemporary meticulous figure painting has merged the best qualities of traditional and contemporary culture, making it an art with a subtle language, rich in meaning and with the charm of the times and oriental characteristics. The author in the form of contemporary fine brushwork figure painting language as the research object, explore new form of fine brushwork figure painting, and in the contemporary society and multicultural context factors. Innovation, enrich and develop new forms of art language of contemporary social form and aesthetic temperament and interest.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual conditions, satisfaction towards, and effects of children's cooking activity programs held at children's cooking schools, which have recently been gaining interest as an effective integrated educational method. Also, based on the results, the study provides information on good teaching-learning methods, which can be applied to kindergarten and elementary schools. The results of the evaluation showed that 84.1% of the respondents were satisfied with the educational aspects of the programs. People were most satisfied with the teachers' "teaching ability", and were least satisfied with "the educational fees". The satisfaction scores for the children's cooking programs were higher when they were performed in a school class environment as compared to a cultural center environment, and children who had participated for more than 12 months were more satisfied than those who had only participated 1 to 3 months. Quantitatively, of the 24 measured evaluation categories grouped into 6 fields that measured the effects of participation in the cooking programs, the greatest effects were found on the children's self-confidence and sense of achievement in the social emotion field, and the lowest effect was found on their writing ability in the language field. In addition, scores were higher when the cooking activities were performed in a private cooking school environment as compared to a cultural center environment. Scores were also higher when the educational program lasted 7 to 9 months as compared to only 1 to 3 months.
This paper provides the meaning of sacred places and pilgrimages in Daesoonjinrihoe, the most representative of the new religions in Korea. Daesoonjinrihoe stipulates Dojang(道場, it means temple complex) as the sacred places, which presently functions as the center of their religious faith. Also, The Daesoonjinrihoe devotees worship 15 deities at a sacred place, Yeongdae(靈臺). By seeing meanings of sacred places and pilgrimage in Daesoonjinrihoe, This article focuses on the process of the sacrificial rite of Daesoonjinrihoe related to the importance of religious ritual or place of faith and sacred places as pilgrimage sites. At this time, I explain the properties of sacrificial rite of it. The sacrificial rite of Daesoonjinrihoe, one of its major rites, is performed at both regular and irregular intervals. It is performed by either an individual or a group at a fixed time and place. The study of sacred places should focus not only artificial structures such as buildings but also the meanings given to them and the mechanism that created these meanings. Pilgrimage is journey undertaken by person who consider their destination sacred. By seeing meaning of pilgrimage, this paper focus on Daesoonjinrihoe' role in making a place pilgrimage sites and pilgrimage functions. The reason I focus on sacred places and pilgrimage in Daesoonjinrihoe is that these sacred places reflect people's attempt to invent religious memory and identity. Thus, I elucidate the role that Daesoonjinrihoe's sacred places and pilgrimage plays in remembering religious memory. I examine the messages that Daesoonjinrihoe's sacred places intend to convey to the followers through the created sacred places and pilgrimage. Sacred places are significant because it reflect important symbolic features of religion. Sacred places and pilgrimage are vehicles for remembering the religious memory and reinforcing various memories. Finally, Handing down of our valuable Daesoonjinrihoe's cultural heritage is our duty. So it is necessary to make an effort to conserve Daesoonjinrihoe's cultural heritage such as sacred places and concentration upon our interest continuously.
Despite the recent social interest, academic discussions about life culture festival in Korea are still not actively discussed. Therefore, on this study we intends to conduct an empirical analysis on the satisfaction, loyalty, and effects of life culture festival by using structural equation model. Before the analysis, we reviewed conceptual definitions about life culture and its previous studies for set up detailed factors to be used for. This study is based on the survey which distributed in 2016 Bucheon City life culture festival "DaRak". With collected survey, we analyzed data by using structural equation model. As a results, festival loyalty shows significant impact on festival effects(0.92). Both program factor(0.59) and operation-information factor(0.29) also shows significant result about festival effects as lower factor of festival satisfaction, but its only when they mediated by festival loyalty factor.
