  • The standards for heavy metal levels in crustaceans are 0.5 mg/kg and 1.0 mg/kg or lower for lead and cadmium, respectively. Further, the contamination levels of arsenic, mercury, methyl mercury, and tin are being continuously investigated, considering their current exposure levels. Shrimps are potentially exposed to heavy metals because they inhabit areas with abundant organic matter, such as sandy or muddy shores, places with a lot of seaweed, and estuaries. This study measured the monetary value of reducing consumer anxiety and increasing consumer confidence if the government prohibits the sale of shrimp species that exceed the threshold for specific heavy metals and of the top shrimp species for which no threshold for heavy metals is specified. We derived consumer willingness-to-pay (WTP). Combining the estimated WTP with the number of households in the country, the total value of benefits was estimated to be 363.9 billion won. The results of this study will provide an important empirical finding, showing to what extent specific policies regarding heavy metals in seafood can alleviate consumer anxiety and provide psychological reassurance.

  • Persona is an actor's external ego constructed by playing various roles, and his/her another self-portrait in the eyes of the audience. This study was conducted to analyze persona identity containing core persona(CP) and to gain implications for the growth strategy of the actress Son Ye-jin called "melo queen" by verifying consistency between the CP and audience responses to her starring works of the past. According to the related theories and models, the persona was firstly set as image, visuality, personality and consistency, and it was used to extract and sort descriptive texts about Son related news articles in the last 5 years of the six major Korean newspapers using the content analysis method. After that, we analyzed the number of viewers of her movies and the audience share of her dramas by genre. As a result, Son's persona components were found to have a proportion for 54.2% images (34.0% for melo and romance images, 20.2% for non-melo and romance images), 25.6% for visibility, 13.8% for consistency, and 6.4% for personality. Her CP was derived from a melo and romance image. Comparing this with the audience reaction, the melo romance genre dominated and showed consistency in the drama, but in the case of the film, the non-melo romance was dominant and did not match each other. The results were attributed to a wide gap between dramas and movies in terms of key viewers, box office factors, degree of genre hybridity and experimentality. Therefore, Son should actively use her CP in the drama and challenge the various roles in order to expand her persona spectrum in the film.

  • Paspalum distichum and P. distichum var. indutum are perennial weeds of the family Poaceae that prefer moist environments such as waterfronts and waterways. The origin of both species is North America. P. distichum is distributed all over the world. However, P. distichum var. indutum occurs only in the United States, Japan, and Korea. For this reason, in many countries, P. distichum and P. distichum var. indutum are classified as the same species. In other words, P. distichum var. indutum is a different ecological type of P. distichum. Both species can reproduce and spread mainly by rhizome fragments rather than seeds. This rhizome has a characteristic that it does not germinate if it is buried in the ground with depth of more than 3 cm. As a management method for P. distichum and P. distichum var. indutum in agricultural lands (paddy fields), it is effective to combine cultural control and chemical control methods. In other words, combining deep plowing and harrowing can suppress the budding of water sparrow that has invaded paddy fields or fallow paddy fields. After that, these two species that germinate can be controlled by spraying soil treatment herbicides such as butachlor and thiobencarb or foliar treatment herbicides such as cyhalofop-butyl and fenoxaprop-p-ethyl.

But despite of large deviation like this, the practitioners were common to give emphasis on giving opportunities to everyone in the enjoyment of culture, for heightening the quality of life. Summing up, culture welfare is defined as 'all direct and indirect effort in culture and arts, in a narrow sense to economical vulnerable class, and in a broad sense to everyone, to raise cultural susceptibility, creative thinking, and potential competence for realization a life worthy of man. • Most of Korea's Kyungmaedorock(auction book: 競賣圖錄) and pictorial record of exhibitions in the modern times were usually published in the 1930s. Although 1930s were periods of the Great Depression when economic slump continued because of the aftereffect of the slump in the stocks issued by the US in 1929, during this period, Japan began regular continental invasion starting from invasion of the northeastern area of China. To curio dealers, the 1930s were 'boom period of curio transaction' and in urban cultural aspects, the period is evaluated as the one when the first step of modernism was formed. Collection, photo-printing and arrangement of the data related to modern exhibitions including the Auction Book being published at that time are very important because they enable us to know characteristics of fine arts in the transition period from paintings & writings to fine arts in addition to enabling us to revert the circulation history of our paintings & writings and curios. Furthermore, these data will become important data for reconstitution of the circulation history of the Eastern Asia's modern art works. Although the pictorial record of Joseon's Exhibitions of Chinaware and Wooden Works(朝鮮陶磁木工展) is a small and thin one, it records our country's high level chinaware and wooden works. Although we can't know the exact time for 'Joseon's exhibitions of chinaware and wooden works', they are assumed to have been held in Tokyo, Japan in the 1930s and there seems to have been sale of works, too. As such, studies of the books such as the auction book and exhibitions under Japanese imperialism have the first importance in the fact that through which we can examine the course of outflow of our art works to Japan. Furthermore, they can be studies of art-sociology that examine flow and phase of recognition and taste of art works of those days. And from now on, comparative studies of auctions and exhibitions being held in Japan such as Tokyo, Osaka and etc. as well as art markets in Seoul during modern times would also be necessary.
