The Influence of CSR Activities of Airline on Brand Awareness and Brand Loyalty (항공사의 사회적 책임활동이 브랜드 인지도와 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study tries to understand the CSR Activities of Airline on Brand Awareness and Brand Loyalty. Within the last year, online surveys were conducted on consumers with experience in air travel. The empirical survey was conducted between Feb 11 and Feb 25, 2020, and 220 valid questionnaires were analyzed. The results of the study are as follows. First, CSR Activities of Airline was divided into Economic Responsibility, Legal Responsibility, Ethical Responsibility and Philanthropic Responsibility according to the literature review. Analysis showed that CSR Activities of Airline has effect on Brand Awareness accordingly. Second, CSR Activities of Airline has effects Brand Loyalty. Third, Brand Awareness has effects Brand Loyalty. The findings has significant implications for CSR Activities of Airline, Brand Awareness, Brand Loyalty and academic researchers. This research has several implications such as CSR Activities of Airline should be preceded in order to enhance brand Awareness and strengthen Brand Loyalty.

  • This article examines community attachment as boundary condition that moderates the relationship between CSR activities and attitude in the discount store context. Using a sample of 1,118 consumers that have a purchasing experience. Results showed that CSR activities such as social contribution, consumer protection, and environmental protection have a significant effect on the attitude toward discount store. In addition, the authors found the role of community attachment as moderator. The discussion focuses on the meaning of the results for strategic CSR activities and the need for additional studies to clarify the relationship between CSR activities and store attitude.

  • In the domestic cosmetics market, it is important to secure high customer loyalty in order to stably enter the market. To do this, customers should have a deep sense of trust and bond through the authenticity of the brand. At this time, among the components of brand authenticity, only corporate authenticity has a positive effect on customer brand attachment and loyalty. This paper suggests marketing strategies based on CSR activities that can most effectively show corporate authenticity. First, only cases where the activity was continued for more than one year and the activity contents and results were clear and recognized for authenticity were selected. Twenty cosmetic brands met this condition and 28 CSR activities which conducted by the brand are analyzed. The characteristics of each area were derived by dividing it into four areas of desirable society presented by the EU, and a marketing strategy for each type was presented. This research will be of practical help in conducting CSR activities later in the enterprise.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine of transparency and Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) on financial performance and firm value. The empirical results are as follows: First, we finds that ROA showed significant effect of all transparency measures exception QAS measure and Tobin's Q showed significant effect of CITSA, SCTSA, SETR and SATSA. Second, 'Total-ROA' and 'ROA' models showed significant positive effects of lnCSR(TranD${\times}$lnCSR) and ROA, also 'Total-Tobin's Q' and 'Tobin's Q' model had same results. Consequently, this study results had that The firms with higher transparency and higher CSR exhibit better financial performance and firm value.

  • Purpose - There have been numerous studies investigating the effects of corporate social responsibility initiatives on corporate associations or corporate images. In line of this research stream, current research examined the potential impact of customer participation in the process of corporate social responsibility initiatives on attitude toward the company. This research differentiates from previous studies that it is the first to connect corporate social responsibility and customer participation. Specifically, we suggest a structural model on corporate associations which was classified into corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations that the more the customers participate in initiating corporate social responsibility, corporate associations were formed more positively. And this leads to the increase of revisit intentions through customer satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology - To test our research model, we collected data of real consumers of a large discount store in Korea. At the large discount store, customers were given an opportunity to participate the discount store's CSR activity program. We performed field survey and collected data of 146 respondents. We analyzed the data using PASW statistics 21.0 and AMOS 16.0 in order to test our structural model. Results - The results showed that consumers who participated more in initiating corporate social responsibility revealed higher score for corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations. These corporate associations had a positive effect on customer satisfaction, which leads to higher attitude toward revisit intentions. Specifically, hypothesis 1.1 "As Customer participation in CSR process increases, the evaluation of CA associations will be positive,"was supported. Hypothesis 1.2 "As Customer participation in CSR process increases, the evaluation of CSR associations will be positive," was supported. Hypothesis 2.1 "As the evaluation of CA associations is positive, satisfaction with the firm will increase," was supported. Hypothesis 2.1 "As the evaluation of CSR associations is positive, satisfaction with the firm will increase," was supported. Hypothesis 3 "As satisfaction with the firm increases, revisit intentions with the firm will increase," was supported. Conclusions - This research is the first to study the relationship between customer participation in CSR process, CSR, and consumer reactions. This research also contributes to customer participation and corporate social responsibility literature by suggesting customer participation as an antecedent and empirically demonstrating the positive relationships between the constructs. The findings of this research may offer managerial implications for marketing practitioners. When performing corporate social initiatives, it is better to let the customer participate in the process which leads to higher corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations, also higher satisfaction and revisit intentions. Our results provide useful information to practioners that spontaneous participation of consumers makes CSR initiatives effective and successful. Limitations and ideas for further research remain in this research. For example, our focus on the logic was cognitive evaluations(e.g. corporate associations) but affective dimensions might be considered since recent researches are investigating the relationship between customer participation and affective reaction as a response. Despite the limitations, this research have unique and applicable implications for academics and practitioners.

Consumers' Perception towards Corporate Social Responsibility and Repurchase Intention: A Study of Consumer Industry in Vietnam

  • Nowadays Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become a critical factor influencing customers' buying intention. The study conducted aims to explore the relationship between customers' perception towards CSR and their repurchase intention. The data was collected by using survey questionnaires from 320 individual customers living in Ho Chi Minh City and processed in SPSS software. The research results showed that among CSR components, economic and charitable responsibilities have a positive impact on Vietnamese customers' repurchase intention at the significance level of 1% and the two other factors at 10%. The findings assume that CSR components have become factors explaining customers' repurchase intention, especially for consumer goods, and firms should enforce their corporate social responsibility to capture customers' repurchase intention and in turn increase their customers' loyalty.

  • Following this introduction, this paper presents two conceptual and theoretical analyses-(i) CSR and its relation to profit and charity (ii) CSR as part of a service business model. The paper then illustrates these concepts using a comparative study of four service firms, with particular emphasis on their different CSR activities and how these affect the mission of each company. All four of the service companies are global actors with strong Service Brands (Edvardsson, Enquist and Hay, 2006) and a leading position in using CSR as a driving force for doing business: IKEA, Starbucks, H&M and the Body Shop. The paper then draws together the conceptual analysis and the case studies in a discussion of how CSR can be a proactive driver in the service business. Because of the limit space for a QMOD paper the focus is on the conceptual and theoretical analysis part and the empirical part and discussion/conclusion has to be further developed.

Estimation of Gene Effects in Four Bivoltine Silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) Crosses

  • Six generations (P$_1$, P$_2$, F$_1$, BC$_1$, BC$_2$ and F$_2$) of four bivoltine silkworm crosses (SKAU-R-1 ${\times}$ Yakwei, SKAU-R-6 ${\times}$ Yakwei, CSR$_2$ ${\times}$ CSR$_4$ and SH$_{6}$${\times}$ NB$_4$D$_2$) were evaluated in a completely randomized block design with 5 replications for each treatment. The generation mean 2 in respect of 3 metric traits (single cocoon weight, single shell weight, and shell ratio %), were subjected to Cavallis joint scaling test. Additive dominance model was found to be adequate in CSR$_2$${\times}$CSR$_4$ and SH$_{6}$${\times}$ NB$_4$D$_2$ for single cocoon weight and shell weight and SKAU-R-6 ${\times}$ Yakwei for shell ratio(%). Whereas, in rest of the crosses epistasis was evident in the traits under investigation. Magnitude of additive gene effect (d) was greater than dominance(h) in SH$_{6}$${\times}$NB$_4$D$_2$ and SKUA-R-6${\times}$Yakwei for shell ratio (%) and in CSR$_2$${\times}$ CSR$_4$ for shell weight. Thus selection for these traits in early segregating generations of these crosses would be effective for obtaining considerable genetic gain. gain.

  • This study analyzes the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities on financial performances using Bayesian Network. The research tries to overcome the issues of the uniform assumption of a linear function between financial performance and CSR activities in multiple regression analysis widely used in previous studies. It is required to infer a causal relationship between activities of CSR which have an impact on the financial performances. Identifying the relationship would empower the firms to improve their financial performance by informing the decision makers about the different CSR activities that influence the financial performance of the firms. This research proposes General Bayesian Network (GBN) and presents Markov Blanket induced from GBN. It is empirically demonstrated that all the proposals presented in this study are statistically significant by the results of the research conducted by Korean Economic Justice Institute (KEJI) under Citizen's Coalition for Economic Justice (CCEJ) which investigated approximately 200 companies in Korea based on Korean Economic Justice Institute Index (KEJI index) from 2005 to 2011. The Bayesian Network to effectively infer the properties affecting financial performances through the probabilistic causal relationship. Moreover, I found that there is a causal relationship among CSR activities variable; that is Environment protection is related to Customer protection, Employee satisfaction, and firm size; Soundness is related to Total CSR Evaluation Score, Debt-Assets Ratio. Though the what-if analysis, I suggest to the sensitive factor among the explanatory variables.

CSR is rapidly changing in global environment. In the meantime, domestic companies such as donations to the required activities ought to be stayed. Strengthening the competitiveness of enterprises in the management tools that should be taken as the movement is taking place. The domestic small and medium-sized corporate social responsibility (SMEs CSR) activities have also taken many changes. In particular, multinational corporations and large companies within the supply chain, B2B companies in partnership appears to have a significant impact on business. In this study, in changing environment for domestic SMEs CEO survey results are based. CSR activities of SMEs and its impact on the financial competence, B2B businesses and B2C business activities of corporate social responsibility has been to analyzed the differences factor. This allows the small and medium-sized companies effectively promote socially responsible business activities, to spread the government, corporate, NGO, and local stakeholder's CSR was to provide a new perspective.
