조건부가치측정법을 이용한 고래자원 보전의 대안으로서 고래관광 가치 추정 연구 (A Study on the Whale Watching as an Alternative for Conservation of the Cetaceans Using the Contingent Valuation Method)

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the economic values of whale watching. The data used in this study were collected with 1,599 coastal tourists and the questionnaire included contingent valuation method questions. The results show that coastal tourists obtained the benefits of about KRW 15,970 from whale watching. Further analyses were conducted to check the differences of willingness to pay for whale watching based on the three variables as follows: previous experience of whale watching and participation intention in whale watching tourism, and previous experience of cruise trips. The results indicate that the respondents, who already participated or intended to participate in this type of tourism activity, were willing to pay higher than those, who did not participated or had no intention of participation, respectively. These results imply that whale watching could be a feasible alternative to the direct consumption of whale meat. Based on the study results, we provide policy and management-related implications for whale watching programs.

  • 21세기는 소득증가에도 불구하고 여가시간의 감소로 인하여 최단시간에 다양한 경험을 할 수 있는 크루즈 여행이 최고의 관광상품으로 부상하게 되었고, 여행수요가 증가함에 따라 신규 크루즈 선박의 건조량이 증가하고 있다. 이에 선박수주 세계 1,2위를 지키고 있는 우리나라 조선업계는 부가가치가 높은 크루즈선 시장 진입을 위한 장기전략을 마련하고 크루즈선의 설계와 시공 능력확보 등의 목표를 설정하였으며, 크루즈 산업에 첫발을 내딛는 현시점에서 크루즈선의 변화의 추이에 관심을 가지고 살펴볼 필요성이 있다. 본 연구는 크루즈 산업의 발전동향과 공간구성의 변화를 시기별로 크측즈의 도약기, 침체기, 발전기, 절정기로 나누어 크루즈 선박 내의 승객거주구역의 공간규모ㆍ비율, 공간구성, 공간유형, 실내디자인 특성의 변화추이에 대하여 분석하여 향후 국내에서 크루즈선을 설계함에 있어 실내디자인계획의 기초자료를 구축하고자 한다.

항공사 객실승무원 팀제에서의 LMX와 TMX가 팀유효성과 팀성과에 미치는 영향연구 (The Influence of LMX and TMX on team effectiveness and team performance in Airline cabin crew team)

  • 본 연구는 항공사 객실서비스 향상, 효율적인 승무원 관리를 위한 팀제 운영에 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 항공사 객실승무원 팀제에서의 LMX(팀장과 팀원의 교환관계)와 TMX(팀과 팀원의 교환관계)의 정도에 따른 팀 유효성 및 팀성과와의 영향관계를 검증하였다. 분석결과 LMX와 TMX는 팀유효성 및 팀성과에 모두 영향관계가 있음이 검증되어 가설은 모두 채택되었다. 이러한 결과로 객실승무원들은 팀장 및 팀원들 간의 교환관계의 질이 높을수록 팀몰입, 팀만족이 높아지고 이러한 팀유효성이 높을수록 팀성과가 높아진다는 결론을 도출해냈다. 즉 객실승무원 팀제는 교환관계의 질을 높인다면 서비스품질 향상을 도모할 수 있는 필수불가결한 제도이지만 반대로 교환관계의 질이 낮은 상태로 운영된다면 역효과의 결과가 나타날 가능성이 있다. 따라서 항공사에서는 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 객실승무원 팀제운영 시 팀장 및 팀원들 간의 양질의 교환관계를 형성, 유지할 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 수립해야 할 것이다.

항공서비스요인이 고객만족과 고객애호도에 미치는 영향에 대한 전환비용의 조절적 효과 (Adjustable Influence of the Converting Cost in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Preference Affected by the Main Factors of Airline Services)

  • 본 연구에서는 항공고객이 항공사를 선택할 때 기준이 되는 항공서비스요인이 고객만족과 고객애호도에 미치는 영향에 대한 전환비용의 조절적 효과를 중심으로 검증과 규명에 목적을 두고 연구한다. 설문조사는 인천국제공항을 이용하여 국적항공사 이용고객을 모집단으로 하여 항공고객이 항공사를 선택할 때 기준이 되는 항공서비스요인이 고객만족과 고객애호도에 미치는 영향관계와 그리고 고객만족과 고객애호도간 전환비용의 조절적 영향에 대한 검증 자료수집에 목적을 두고 진행 되었으며 연구결과 첫째, 항공서비스는 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 항공서비스는 고객애호도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 항공서비스에 대한 고객만족과 고객애호도간에 전환비용은 연속비용, 학습비용에 조절적인 역할을 못하였고 매몰비용은 조절적 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

거문도를 중심으로 하는 세일링요트 안전항로 개발에 관한 연구 - 전남 여수 거문도와 제주특별자치도 김녕항 루트를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development of the Safe Navigation Route for a Sailing Yacht Focused on Geomundo (Port Hamilton))

  • 본 연구는 여수에서 출항하여 백도와 도서문화가 살아있는 거문도를 거쳐 제주 김녕항으로 이어지는 해양관광 크루즈 세일링 요트 항로를 제안하였다. 최근 해양레저 활성화에 비례하여 안전사고도 늘어나고 있으며, 세일링 요트의 특성을 고려한 안전항로 개척은 지역별, 해역별로 조사되어야 한다. 따라서 거문도의 사례를 통해 분석해 보면 해양문화의 소개, 국제요트대회유치, 다기능항으로 개발 등이 필요하고, 특히 해당 항로의 운항패턴과 밀집도 분석 등이 추가로 도출되어야 할 것이다. 이러한 정보는 세일링 요트의 운항 안전율을 높여 지역 관광산업에 도움이 될 것이다.

일본 도시민 대상 설문조사 자료를 이용한 도농교류 행태 및 의식에 관한 한일 인식차이 비교 (Difference in Behavior and Recognition about Urban Rural Exchange of Urban Residents between Korea and Japan)

  • In the midst of growing demand for rural life of urban dwellers, this study tried to investigate the difference in behavior and recognition about urban rural exchange between Korea and Japan. For this, this study utilized 2,000 total samples of the survey conducted by MLIT in Japan, because Japan has experienced a low birth rate and aging population earlier and actively promoting urban rural exchange program than South Korea. The result of the analysis is as follows. First, the needs for rural life of urban dwellers are similar both in Japan and South Korea. However, Japanese prioritize future efforts to current efforts. Second, urban dwellers' activities in rural areas were classified into three categories; field trips and hands-on activities, cruise and circulating activities, and leisure activities. Third, similarly three types of visit or intercourse of urban dwellers into rural areas were classified; repeatedly visit the same place as 'iterative type', visit a new place as 'new pioneer type', and not yet determined as 'undefined type'. Variables such as age of household, income, number of inmate, and number of children were analyzed linked to these three types of visit or intercourse in a Discriminant analysis. As a result, only 'age of household', however, turned out to be the crucial factor which influence decisively distinguishing characteristics of these three types of visit into rural areas.

Consideration of the Possibility of Excursion Ship Passage in Busan North Port using Marine Traffic Assessment Index

  • The demand for the revitalization of marine tourism in Busan North Port is increasing due to changes in functions such as an increase in harbor traffic volume and the expansion of marine leisure space in Busan. As a result, Busan City plans to set a phased alleviation target for prohibition of cruise ship operations, and to lift the prohibition of excursion ship operations in North Port following the cancellation of the prohibition of excursion ship operations in South Port in 2017. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the risk of excursion ship operations in Busan North Port by applying the marine traffic assessment index and to examine the possibility of excursion ship operations. For this purpose, port status, marine accidents, and traffic flow of Busan North Port were investigated. In addition, marine traffic assessment indexes, such as traffic congestion, risk based on an ES Model, and IWRAP MkII, a maritime risk assessment tool, were used to assess the risk and possibility of excursion ship operations in Busan North Port. This study can be used as basic data for analyzing the risk factors that may occur when excursion ships are operated in Busan North Port and to define how excursion ships should operate, with related safety measures.

  • This study aims at analyzing the potential of leports-fishing for improving fishing household income. Leports-fishing is a composite concept which is combined with those of leisure, sports and fishing. Korean on-shore resources have also a composite characteristic. The characteristics of the east, west and south coastal waters are quite different in geography, biology and ecology. There is a array of leports-fishing development potentials of utilizing their characteristics. At present, angling forms a main activity of leports-fishing, but coastal seas would be an emerging space for the public. In order for them to be a ground of fun, enjoyment and festivals, there would be necessary to supply a wide range of activities including angling, scuba diving, fish barbecue, ecological experience, fishing experience, cruise, and so forth. As seen in the survey results, the participants have strong desire for fun and enjoyment through leports-fishing activities. The proportion of people participating in one or two times a year amounts to 40 percent. Most coastal places visited are close to medium/large cities and two-days leports-fishing/ tourism accounts for some 77 percent. However, it is shown that conflicts between leports-fishing participants and fishermen are not serious. The results of expenditure function estimation appear that the elasticity of per capita income is very high with 1.2660 and that there are negative relationships between leports-fishing expenditure and transportation/food/lodging costs. Assuming the economic growth rate of 4 percent, it is anticipated that Korean leports-fishing population will increase to 3.18 million in 2010 and 4.07 million in 2015. Korean leports-fishing market potential in 2015, which is calculated based on per capita expenditure on leports-fishing appeared to be 1,400 billion won$\sim$1,600 billion won. The contribution of such market potential is expected to be 62.3$\sim$74.2 percent(934.5 billion won$\sim$111.3 billion won) to the fishing households.

부산항내 선박통항 안전성 평가에 관한 연구 (A study on the vessel traffic safety assessment of Busan Harbor)

  • As invigoration plan of the marine tourism, Busan City has the plan to operate the cruise ship inside of the harbor, but the area has narrow water way with heavy traffic. As a result it is requested to evaluate the safety for the preparation of actual navigation. In this study, the Ship Handling Simulation (SHS) Assessment was conducted, which is regulated by the Maritime Traffic Safety Audit Scheme (MTSAS) in compliance with the Marine Safety Law and the Maritime Traffic Risk Assessment System based on the Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS). The proximity assessment, control assessment and subjective assessment were implemented, which is enacted by the Marine Safety Law by using the SHS. In the case of proximity assessment, the probability of trespass was not analyzed. As the control assessment, the swept path was measured at 11.7 m and 11.5 m for port entry and port departure respectively, which exceeded the width of the model vessel, 10.4 m over; it was considered as a marginal factor. As a result of the subjective evaluation of the navigator, there would be no difficulty on ship maneuvering by paying particular attention to the mooring vessel nearby the Busan Bridge and Yeongdo Bridge as well as the coming vessel from the invisible sea area when the vessel is entering and departing the port. The Marine Traffic Risk Assessment System analyzed as [Cautious] level until the vessel passed the Busan bridge and the curved area at 5 kts and it became to [Dangerous] level from where it left 75 m to the Busan Bridge. When the vessel passed the Busan Bridge and the curved area at 10 kts and entered the narrow area, it indicated the [Dangerous] level and became to [Very dangerous] level from where it left 410 m to the Busan bridge. In conclusion, the vessel should maintain at the speed of 5 kts to reduce the risk when it passes this area.
