제한된 천부자료와 시추코어분석을 통한 심부지질단면도 작성과 단층 인지법: 한반도 남동부 양산단층대 주변에서의 적용 (Constructing Geological Cross-sections at Depth and Interpreting Faults Based on Limited Shallow Depth Data Analysis and Core Logging: Southern Section of the Yangsan Fault System, SE Korea)

  • 심부지질조사에는 많은 경비와 시간이 필요해 심부지질을 해석하는데 많은 어려움이 있다. 그러나 지열모델링과 같이 많은 경비를 투자할 수는 없지만 심부의 지질정보가 필요한 경우 제한적이지만 천부의 지질정보를 이용하여 심부의 지질을 해석하고 추정할 수 있다. 이번 연구에서는 이러한 제한된 심부자료를 가진 지역에서 천부지질자료를 활용하여 어떻게 심부의 지질에 대한 정보를 추정할 수 있는지를 보여주고자 하였다. 이번 연구의 목적은 한반도 남동부를 관통하는 양산단층이 이 지역의 지열분포에 어떠한 영향을 주고 있는지를 연구하기 위하여 심부지질단면도를 획득하기 위한 것이다. 따라서 양산단층과 주변 단층들의 특징을 가장 잘 반영할 것으로 판단되는 울주군 상북면과 웅촌면 지역에서 양산단층을 가로지르는 NW-SE 방향으로 단면을 설정하였다. 이 심부 지질단면을 작성하기 위하여 먼저 기존 지질도를 검토하여 발달하는 암상의 분포와 주요 지질구조를 확인하였으며, 야외조사자료를 기반으로 도학적인 분석을 실시하여 지층의 심부연장성을 추정하였고, 지표에서 노출된 단층 등의 발달규모 및 자세를 통해 심부로의 연장가능성을 추정하였다. 또한 비록 천부자료이긴 하지만 기존 물리검층자료와 시추자료를 종합하여 한반도 남동부 양산단층대의 심부단면도를 작성하였다. 양산단층 주변의 암상에 대한 야외지질조사 결과 양산단층의 서쪽지괴에는 화강암이 주를 이루며, 양산단층의 동쪽지괴는 퇴적암류와 이를 관입한 화성암류가 주로 발달하고 있다. 지표상 드러난 양산단층의 연장성을 통해 규모를 추정해 볼 때 지하로 수 km 이상 발달할 것으로 추정되며, 물리검층자료를 분석한 결과 양산단층과 인접한 퇴적암류는 그 깊이가 얇고, 동쪽으로 갈수록 두꺼워지는 양상을 보인다. 이러한 자료를 종합 해석하여 모식적인 지질단면을 제작하였다. 비록 지질학적 개념에 기초하여 가능한 정보를 수집하였지만 이러한 천부자료에 기초한 심부단면도의 작성은 신뢰성이 매우 제한적이라는 것을 고려하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 이번 연구에서는 시추코어의 단열분석을 통해 단층의 존재를 인식할 수 있는 새로운 방법을 제시하였다. 이는 앞으로 시추자료 분석을 통해 단층의 존재와 규모를 판단하는데 매우 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

지하 동굴식 중-저준위 방사성 폐기물 처분장의 환기시스템 고찰 (A Study on Ventilation System of Underground Low-Intermediate Radioactive Waste Repository)

  • 지하 동굴식 처분장의 건설, 운영 및 중-저준위 방사성폐기물을 처분한 이후 발생하게 되는 오염물질(Rn, CH CO, HS, Radiolysis에 의한 방사능 가스 등)은 적절한 공기량을 필요로 한 곳에 정확히 분배시킬 수 있는 환기시스템에 의해 통제되도록 하여야한다. 특히 지하 처분장은 여러 개의 진입 터널, 저장 터널, 공기 유입-배기 터널, 수직갱 등으로 이루어진 복잡한 회로망의 형태로 나타나기 때문에 이에 적절한 기술적 접근이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 환기시스템 구축을 위한 기술적 접근을 위해 미국의 WIPP (Waste Isolation Pilot Plant)처분장과 스웨덴의 SFR (Slutforvar for Reaktoravfall) 중-저준위 처분장을 모델로 하여 두 처분장의 소요환기량을 선정하고 설계상 통풍로의 단면적, 길이, 표면 거칠기 등을 고려한 환기회로를 구성하였으며, 수학적으로 계산되는 각 회로의 저항에 대해 기술하였다. 또한 이를 바탕으로 적절한 선풍기의 용량과 수직갱 운용방안을 설계하였다. 두 처분장의 지형상의 규모 및 환기시설 비교 결과, SFR 처분장에 비해 WIPP 처분장에서와 같이 병렬구조가 많을수록 처분장 전체의 저항이 감소되며 이러한 결과로 환기시스템의 운용비 절감효과를 얻을 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다. 따라서 처분용량 증대를 위한 대단면의 SFR 처분장 구조와 전체 저항 감소를 위한 WIPP 처분장의 병렬구조를 조합한 형태가 가장 합리적이며 효율적인 환기가 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

횡단면 분석기법을 적용한 고속도로 기하구조 안전성 평가 (The Safety Evaluation of Expressway Geometries by Cross-sectional Analysis Techniques)

  • 도로 기하구조를 구성하는 설계요소에는 대표적으로 종단경사, 평면곡선반경, 편경사, 완화곡선 등이 있다. 이러한 도로 기하구조의 설계요소들은 도로의 기능별로 설계기준이 제시되어 있으며, 설계기준의 범위 안에서 다양한 조합을 통해 설계된다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 조합을 통해 건설된 고속도로를 종단경사와 평면곡선반경을 기준으로 동질구간으로 분할한 후 분석에 필요한 자료를 매칭하였으며, 구축된 자료를 활용하여 종단경사와 평면곡선반경에 대한 안전성능함수를 구축하고, 교통사고 노출률을 설명할 수 있는 사고수정계수를 산출하였다. 평면곡선반경 R=1,000m를 기준(1.0)으로 설정한 후 산출한 R=300m의 사고수정계수는 1.33으로 사고노출률이 33% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 종단경사 0%를 기준(1.0)으로 설정한 후 오르막 경사와 내리막 경사에 대한 사고수정계수를 산출한 결과, 오르막 경사에서는 사고노출률이 감소하고 내리막 경사에서는 사고노출률이 증가함을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 고속도로의 신설 및 개량 노선의 사업시행 전 선형설계 시 기초자료로 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

염하수로 인근에서 조석 변형과 장주기 조류성분의 변동 특성 (Periodic characteristics of long period tidal current by variation of the tide deformation around the Yeomha Waterway)

  • 경기만과 같이 지형이 복잡하고 조차가 큰 해역에서는 활발한 물질순환이 나타난다. 이러한 물질순환에 영향을 주는 장주기 흐름은 다양한 외력에 의하여 형성되며 시공간적으로 독특한 특성이 나타난다. 본 연구에서는 경기만에 위치하는 인천항부터 잠실수중보 사이에서 동기간에 관측된 조위와 유속자료를 분석하여 장주기 조류성분의 주기적인 변화 특성과 발생 기작을 파악하였다. 염하수로와 한강하구에서는 배조나 복합조와 같은 비선형분조의 증가로 인하여 조석파의 변형이 발생하고 이에 따른 평균해면 상승이 나타난다. 경기만으로부터 한강으로 전파하는 조석파는 수로폭과 수심이 크게 감소하는 염하수로로 진입하면서 급격히 변형되어 저조위와 평균해면이 상승하며, 상류로 갈수록 조석변형이 커진다. 이러한 조석변형은 조차가 큰 대조기에 증가하고 조차가 작은 소조기에 감소하며 주기적인 변동을 나타내는데, 이는 장주기 조석성분인 $M_{sf}$ 분조로 해석될 수 있다. 조석변형의 공간적 차이에 의해 발생하는 해면 경사는 대조-소조의 주기와 동일한 주기를 보이며 대조기에 증가한다. 해면 경사의 장주기 변동에 반응하여 조류의 장주기 변화가 나타난다. 이러한 장주기 조류성분은 상류에서 크게 증가하여 한강하류인 전류리 인근에서는 주요 분조인 $S_2$ 분조보다 크게 나타난다.

  • 점적기의 성능은 압력보상 기능에 따른 유량 균등성에 의해 좌우되고, 유량의 균등성은 점적기 내부의 위치에 따른 공급압력이 일정할 때 이루어진다. 점적기의 압력보상은 탄성을 가진 연질의 실리콘과 미로가 동시에 결합된 경우에 가장 큰 효과를 나타낸다. 그러나 경질 미로만으로 구성된 점적기의 경우에는 미로의 길이와 내부구조에 따라 유량이 크게 달라진다. 경질 미로만으로 구성된 점적기의 경우에는 연질의 실리콘을 동시에 결합한 점적기보다 공급 압력에 따른 유량의 오차가 훨씬 크게 나타나므로 간편한 반면에 성능에서는 불리한 조건을 가진다. 경질미로로 구성된 점적호스의 경우 공급 압력과 미로의 길이와 단면에 따른 최적 설계를 통하여 적절한 조건에서 폭넓게 사용할 수 있는 장점이 있으므로 이에 대한 연구는 점적기의 성능을 개선하는데 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 그러나 이러한 분야의 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 경질미로로 구성된 점적호스의 성능평가를 구명하기 위해 원형의 미로를 길이별로 8단계(#1~#8)로 나누어, 공급압력(0.5~3.0bar) 변화에 따른 출구유량을 실험적 방법과 이론적 해석(CFD)으로 구하였다.

물리탐사기법에 의한 울산광역시 약수지역 천부지하구조 조사 (Shallow Subsurface Structure of the Yaksoo Area, Ulsan, Korea by Geophysical Surveys)

  • 울산단층의 구조와 위치는 한반도 동남부의 지각 진화 해석에 중요한 역할을 한다. 울산단층을 피복하고 있는 충적층의 두께와 충적층 하부의 단층 수반 파쇄대를 조사하고 가능하다면 주단층의 정확한 위치를 파악하기 위하여 굴절법 탄성파탐사와 쌍극자 전기비저항탐사를 수행하고 분석하였으며, 이들 결과와 함께 이 지역에서 독립적으로 수행된 타연구의 반사법 탄성파탐사 결과를 도입하여 종합적인 해석을 하였다. 전기비저항탐사에서 동천 동쪽에서의 탐사선에서는 단층으로 사료되는 비저항 이상대가 발견되지 않았으나, 동천 서족 탐사선에는 잘 발달된 연속적인 낮은 비저항이상대를 발견하였다. 이는 울산단층의 주단층은 동천이나 동천 서쪽에 위치하는 것을 시사한다. 동천 동쪽 탐사선에서 실시한 굴절법 탄성파탐사에서는 기반암과 충적층의 경계 및 지하수면으로 사료되는 두 굴절면을 발견하였으며, 충적층의 두께는 약 30 m정도로 해석되었다. 결과해석의 신뢰도를 높이기 위하여 본 조사와 별도로 실시된 반사법 탄성파 자료를 참고한 결과 반사법 탄성파 탐사에서 발견된 많은 단층대가 굴절법탐사나 비저항탐사에서는 나타나지 않았다. 낮은 비저항 이상은 파쇄대를 따른 함수량의 영향보다는 점토의 영향에 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 가정할 때 고원인은 설명되나, 굴절법탐사나 비저항탐사의 해상도와 관련이 있을 수 있다. 정확한 원인구명을 위해서는 정밀한 연구가 필요하다. 일반적으로 전기비저항 탐사는 단층위치 파악에 유용한 지구물리학적 탐사법으로 알려져 있으나 본 조사에서는 반사법 탄성파 탐사에 비해 그 효과가 뚜렷하지 못하였다. 쌍극자 전기비저항탐사에서 해상도를 유지하면서 가탐심도를 증가시키기 위해서는 전개수를 늘려야 한다. 그러나 배경잡음 때문에 한계점을 가지는데, 본 조사에서 측정치의 통계학적 성질을 볼 때 조사지역에서의 측정치가 전개수 16까지는 충분한 의미를 가짐을 알 수 있었다.

부식 손상된 가시설 강재의 축압축 좌굴강도 추정에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Evaluation of Axially Compressive Buckling Strength of Corroded Temporary Steel)

  • 강구조물은 주로 도장에 의해 방식처리 되고 있지만, 장기간 사용함에 따라 강재표면에 부식손상이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 부식손상은 단면감소와 이로 인한 좌굴내하력을 저하시킬 우려가 있다. 현재 다양한 등단면형상과 지지조건에 대한 좌굴강도 추정식 및 설계식이 제안되어 있으나, 부식손상으로 인한 불규칙한 변단면 강부재의 축압축 좌굴강도 평가법은 아직 확립되어 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 부식 손상된 가시설 강부재에서 절취한 강재시편의 축압축 좌굴실험을 실시하여, 부식강재의 좌굴강도 평가에 대한 기초적 연구를 수행하였다. 본 실험에서는 먼저 가시설 주형보의 웨브로부터 시편 지지길이를 200, 300, 400, 500, 600mm로 달리한 5종류 시편을 각각 2개씩 총 10개의 강재시편을 절취하고, 화학적 방법에 의해 녹을 제거하였다. 그리고 3차원 광학 스캐너를 이용하여 $1{\times}1mm$ 간격으로 표면형상을 측정하여, 각 시편의 잔존두께를 산출하였다. 그리고 10개의 부식 손상된 시편과 부식 손상되지 않은 무부식 시편 12개를 양단 완전고정지지 조건하에서 축압축 좌굴실험을 실시하여, 부식두께감소량 및 시편의 표면형상과 축압축 좌굴강도와의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 부식 손상정도에 상관없는 무부식 등단면 강재와 동일하게 좌굴강도를 평가할 수 있는 불규칙 변단면 부식강재의 폭방향평균 최소두께 또는 평균잔존두께와 표준편차의 차로 계산되는 유효두께를 적용하여 축압축 좌굴강도을 추정할 수 있음을 제안하였다. 또한 이러한 결과를 실무에도 적용할 수 있도록 실용적인 부식강재의 잔존두께 측정간격도 제시하였다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Optimal parameters of electrical stimulation for slow muscles were 20 Hz, 0.2 ms square pulse. For fast muscle, 40 Hz, 0.3 ms square pulse was optimal to produce repeated contraction. Electrical stimulation for each muscle was designed to generate bipedal locomotion, so that individual muscles alternate contraction and relaxation to simulate stance and swing phases.
