[ $ulcorner$ ]Cost-Effectiveness Analysis$\lrcorner$ has been wifely used to evaluate economic efficiency of R&D projects, but most of cost-effectiveness evaluation systems have some problems such as systematic method for setting and evaluating cost factors, estimation of single effect on each R&D project, and estimation of cross effects among R&D projects. To solve these problems, we have designed a new evaluation indicator called a $ulcorner$Cost-Cross Effect Integration Indicator$lrcorner$ including cross effects developed in this research. The major research findings are summarized as follows : (1) $ulcorner$Coist Estimation Model$lrcorner$, which estimates the cost factors divided into two classes of assembly product and system product and then integrates the total cost values, has been designed. (2) A new method for estimating parameters of cross effects among R&D projects has been developed. (3) $ulcorner$Cross Effects Estimation Model$lrcorner$ to estimate multi-effects and cross effects by completion time among several projects has been designed. (4) $ulcorner$Integration Estimation Indicator$lrcorner$ for setting priority on a project group has been extracted by combination of total cost value and total effect value.

$\ulcorner$Cost Effectiveness Analysis$\lrcorner$ has been widely used to evaluate the effectiveness of R&D resources. But, almost of cost effectiveness evaluation systems have some problems, especially the cross effect among R&D projects has not been considered. To solve this problem, we have designed a new $\ulcorner$Cross Effect Evaluation System(CEES)$\lrcorner$, which are able to estimate multi-effects and cross effects by completion time among several projects.

The purpose of this paper is to construct $\ulcorner$CIDEAR(Cross Impact-DEA-AR)$\lrcorner$ model which evaluates proposed R&D projects considering cross impact among them and selects proper projects to utilize resources efficiently as well as to maximize efficacy of investments. For this purpose, $\ulcorner$CIDEAR$\lrcorner$ model is designed as the following six steps. $\ulcorner$Decision Theory Evaluation Model$\lrcorner$ is for setting and selecting the evaluation items according to the structured procedure of evaluation system. The priority of items is decided at $\ulcorner$AR Decision Model$\lrcorner$$\ulcorner$Cross Impact Estimation Model$\lrcorner$ is for computing the final probability of success and the result is used to revise the evaluation results of $\ulcorner$Decision Theory Evaluation Model$\lrcorner$. $\ulcorner$Resource Performance Analysis Model$\lrcorner$ classifies the proposed R&D projects on the basis of required resources and expected performance. Consequently, the possibility of bias of project selection can be prevented. $\ulcorner$Priority Oder Decision Model$\lrcorner$ is for computing the efficacy of proposed projects. Finally, $\ulcorner$Efficacy-Efficiency Cause Analysis Model$\lrcorner$ analyzes the structure of efficacy and efficiency of the projects. The major findings and significances of this study are summarized as follows: (1) $\ulcorner$CIDEAR$\lrcorner$ model can deal with the affairs of R&D projects having the characteristics of mutual independence as well as mutual dependence in the point of efficacy and efficiency. Hence, it is possible to evaluate and select R&D projects more accurately. (2) It can be possible to raise the possibility of projects success. R&D manager can use the information for project management because the efficacy-efficiency structure of selected projects can be analyzed. (3) We proved the usefulness of the constructed $\ulcorner$CIDEAR$\lrcorner$ model using an case about twenty-one R&D projects of a leading company of electronic industry in Korea.

Recently, software has increased in complexity and been applied in various industrial fields. As a result, the presence of software bugs cannot be avoided. Various bug severity prediction methodologies have been proposed, but their performance needs to be further improved. In this study, we propose a novel technique for bug severity prediction in cross projects such as Eclipse, Mozilla, WireShark, and Xamarin by using topic modeling and similarity (i.e., KL-divergence). First, we construct topic models from bug repositories in cross projects using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). Then, we find topics in each project that contain the most numerous similar bug reports by using a new bug report. Next, we extract the bug reports belonging to the selected topics and input them to a Naïve Bayes Multinomial (NBM) algorithm. Finally, we predict the bug severity in the new bug report. In order to evaluate the performance of our approach and to verify the difference between cross projects and single project, we compare it with the Naïve Bayes Multinomial approach; the Lamkanfi methodology, which is a well-known bug severity prediction approach; and an emotional similarity-based bug severity prediction approach. Our approach exhibits a better performance than the compared methods.
With the development of the Internet environment, cross-border crowdfunding has emerged as a novel method to attract foreign investors online. Focusing on 324 South Korea-based crowdfunding projects from Kickstarter, which is a representative cross-border crowdfunding platform, this study explores the trends of South Korea-based funding projects and examines the effects of key determinants on crowdfunding outcomes. Regarding the characteristics of crowdfunding projects, analysis results show that the appropriate goal amount and funding period, sufficient updates of project status, and active communication is critical for success. Additionally, from the perspective of project creators, this research finds that creators need to pay greater attention to writing their detailed biographies. Finally, examining the characteristics of project backers, this study shows that attracting project backers from various countries would be desirable rather than focusing on Korean sponsors from the start.

The purpose of this paper is to construct a CIDEAR (Cross Impact Data Envelopment Analysis Assurance Region) model which evaluates proposed R&D projects considering cross impacts among them and selects them to utilize R&D resources effectively as well as to maximize effectiveness of investments. For this purpose, the following six steps are designed as the main procedure. $\lceilDecision\;Theory\;&\;Evaluation\;Model\rfloor$, $\lceilAR\;Decision\;&\;Evaluation\;Model\rfloor$, $\lceilResource\;&\;Performance\;Analysis Model\rfloor$, $\lceilCross\;Impact\;Assumption\;Model\rfloor$, $\lceilpriority\;Oder\;Decision\;Model\rfloor$, $\lceilEfficiency\;Cause\;Analysis\;Model\rfloor$. $\lceilCIDEAR\rfloor$ model can deal with the affairs of R&D projects having the characteristics of mutual independence as well as mutual dependence. Hence it is possible to evaluate and select R&D projects more accurately than any other models.
Mega-Y project is very important for a company to gain a competitive advantage in markets or to achieve drastic change in the internal processes. It stems from the company strategy and annual management goals or key performance measures, and is proceeded by the cross-functional team. This paper presents the success factors and implementation process of the Mega-Y projects. The implementation process is presented in 5 steps, including project selection, cross-functional team building, establishment of the master plan, development and execution of sub-projects, and project completion. A case study on the cost reduction project of aircraft development is presented to help for the practitioners to deploy the implementation process introduced in this paper.
In an attempt to develop comprehensive evidence-based methods for evaluation of the R&D performance of cross-disciplinary projects, a joint bibliometric analysis of patents and publications was performed for two industry-university-government collaborative projects aimed at commercialization: Hokkaido University Research & Business Park Project (2003-2007; 63 inventors; 176 patents; 853 papers), and Matching Program for Innovations in Future Drug Discovery and Medical Care - phase I (2006-2010; 46 inventors; 235 patents; 733 papers). Besides the simple output indicators (for five years period), and citations (from the publication date to the end of 2012), science maps based on the network analysis of words and co-authorship relations were generated to identify the prominent research themes and teams. Our joint analysis of publications and patents yields objective and mutually complementing information, which provides better insights on research and commercialization performance of the large-scale projects. Hence, such analysis has potential for use in the industry-university project's performance evaluation.

In recent software defect prediction research, defect prediction between cross projects and cross-version projects are actively studied. Cross-version defect prediction studies assume WP(Within-Project) so far. However, in the CV(Cross-Version) environment, the previous work does not consider the distribution difference between project versions is important. In this study, we propose an automated Bayesian optimization framework that considers distribution differences between different versions. Through this, it automatically selects whether to perform transfer learning according to the difference in distribution. This framework is a technique that optimizes the distribution difference between versions, transfer learning, and hyper-parameters of the classifier. We confirmed that the method of automatically selecting whether to perform transfer learning based on the distribution difference is effective through experiments. Moreover, we can see that using our optimization framework is effective in improving performance and, as a result, can reduce software inspection effort. This is expected to support practical quality assurance activities for new version projects in a cross-version project environment.
In Jamaica Kincaid's novel Lucy, the narrator grows up with the burden of colonial legacies embedded with Englands' imperial disciplinary projects, its language, educational institutions, discourses. Colonial education interpellates the narrator into a colonial subject through its multiple ideological discourses and systems. Teaching the literature of England is the most insidious form of the Empire's disciplinary colonial projects, more powerful than military enforcement: Its mode of operation is creating phantasy and instigating and planting desire for such phantasy. As Homi Bhabha aptly theorizes as colonial mimicry and ambivalence, the narrator as colonial subject grows up split and confused as an ambivalent subject, simultaneously mimicking and desiring for the phantasized England as real, while resisting and criticizing such up-bringing and mimetic desire. This paper explores Kincaid's rhetorical strategy of employing Wordsworth's poem, "I Wandered as a Lonely Cloud," especially her use of the flower "daffodil." Employing the concept of "daffodil gap" suggested by postcolonial critics, this paper closely examines two episodes involving the flower daffodil in the novel, one in a colonial classroom and the other in a garden in a new world and suggests that Kincaid accomplishes intertextual critique of colonial education and imperial projects.
