This study aims at analyzing the characteristics and the mode of deconstructionism expressed in fashion design centering on review of literatures and precedent researches. Through the review of previous studies and various articles, three major features with regard to deconstructionism were found: indeterminacy of meaning, decentralization, and inter -textuality. In fashion, the feature of indeterminacy of meaning expressed by non formula way such as unfinished, layering, obi or straight line cutting and it was divided into unstructured and unorganized factors. The feature of decentralization expressed by disorganization of sex, race, culture and humanism such as trans-gender, third world costume, sub-culture, posthumanism. Last, the feature of inter-textuality expressed by employing the fashion texts more than two simultaneously such as mixture of unmatched or unusual various clothing items, fabrics, patterns and styles. Non formality features in fahsion which divided into unstructured and unconstructed factors. The decentering of meaning means that disorganized the existing concepts of sex, race, culture and humanism features in fashion which divided into cross-gender, subculture, and post-humanism. Lastly, the feature of inter-textuality means that employed the fashion text more than two which is classified into factors of mixing mode and mixed styles. Unstructured factors were expressed by destroying the design principles such as balance, harmony and unit in fashion. Unconstructed factors were expressed by ignoring the basic costume structures and components in fashion. Cross-gender was expressed by manish and duality style in fashion and 3rd world costume was expressed by folk costume style. Anti fashion was expressed by anti aesthetics in fashion such as kitch, punk, and hippie styles. Post-human was expressed by futurism and the 4th Sex style in fashion. Mixing mode were expressed by mixture of item, and unmatched materials and pattern in fashion. Mixture of style were expressed by mixture of pastiche expression of various styles.
The area of design is the key which can create the generation's core values consistently influenced by the various media, throughout the rapid growth of technology and globalization. In the past, the design used to be defined as 'aesthetic', 'decorative', and 'satisfaction of the sensibility'. However, we believe it is time for a different value followed by the issue of user's different backgrounds and cultures. As the need arises, cross culture study has requested that we analyze how we understand the user's backgrounds and cultures. By doing so, it defines the user's needs like focus group interviews and methodology on process of product development or evaluation. Therefore the subject of this study is how the communication between two groups are affected by the difference between two cultures that centers on focus group interviews which has different consequence by diverse cultural backgrounds and personalities. Because personalities cannot be separated from cultural context, we have the compared group as a result of MBTI and establish practical methodology for proving the cultural factor which influenced to the difference of communication ways.
Bulgogi (Korean-traditional barbequed beef) is one of the most globally well-known Korean foods. Though various attempts have been made to promote bulgogi, studies are limited understanding mostly to US consumers or foreigners who reside in Korea. China, the world's most populous country, has the biggest market potential in the world. The purpose of this study was to understand reasons of liking or disliking bulgogi products in Chinese consumers who reside in China in comparison to Korean consumers. The bulgogi used in this study differed in its main marinating ingredients. Check-all-thatapply (CATA) questionnaire was used to collect the reasons why one liked or disliked the given bulgogi product. CATA result showed that even for the same product, Korean and Chinese consumers liked or disliked it for different reasons. In particular, unlike Koreans, Chinese consumers reported sweet taste and garlic flavor as reasons for disliking the samples with high amounts of sugar and garlic, respectively. This seemed to be the result of differences in familiarity of consumers to certain tastes and flavors. The results imply the influence of culture in consumer preferences.

The present study is following a series of research investigations on design resources coming from collected data referring to users' awareness and preferences. The aim of this research is to test the Healthcare Environmental Color Index as a basis for practitioners in the field of healthcare design. An array of color samples selected from previous research, have been presented to the respondents via an online survey, in order to identify the preferences of the two groups on the relation between environmental color and health. As a result of the first experiment and through the comparison of processed data, the maximum percentage of respondents from each group is validating the relation between environmental color and health. For the second experiment we intend to highlight the patterns of color preferences for each group, and thus to test the color samples healing function. The compared data also showed a higher awareness of Koreans than Romanians on the potential of color applied to healing environment. Last but not least in the third experiment we show the top five color samples preferred by each group. It is significant that the comparison of the results validated once more some of our previous findings related to the healthcare environment, such as: the general preference for the green hue (associated to fatigue relax according to color psychology) and the blue hue (sedation release effect) but also the yellow hue - associated to bright energy. Three out of the top five preferred color samples have been identical to both groups while the other two samples have shown characteristic variations. These results show that similarities are strong and can be used in a glocal design strategy as an accessible tool for any practitioner. Based on the Healthcare Environmental Color Index and users' preferences analysis, a new design culture for healthcare can be established and developed.

In this paper, I approach corporate social responsibility as a discourse metadiscursively shaping the social relationship between corporations and society. Using a discourse-centered approach to culture, I examine how early discussions (involving legal disputes) on the rights of corporations to give evolved into a public sphere discussion as to how corporations can be viewed and redefined as social actors with capabilities to perform socially meaning actions, which here is "responsibility." I discuss how corporate social responsibility currently operates as a metadiscourse of corporate personhood, ethics, and corporate citizenship. Then, using insights from Mauss, I analyze how corporate social responsibility might be comparable to a Maussian gift exchange. Corporate social responsibility actions that are performed, indeed, are gift exchanges in that they involve the ideology of the free gift and the implicit expectation of a return to the giver. In the meantime, I argue, that in the case of corporate social responsibility, it is not the act of giving gifts (e.g., grants) that can lead to social alliances but rather the talk of gift giving, a departure from the ceremonial gift exchanges observed by Mauss. That is, here, the talk of giving shapes social alliances, thus displacing this function from the act of giving itself. The PR strategies deploy talk of the gift as a metapragmatic strategy, inviting various forms of role alignment on the part of diverse, potential and actual, participants, in a framework of corporate-sponsored gift exchange in which potential recipients compete, again at the level of metapragmatic description, to become the chosen gift recipient.
The purpose of this study is to verify whether the concept of time conveys meanings similar to nonverbal communicative elements in foreign language education. This study surveys cultural traits of time from the French cultural education perspective. Anthropologist Edward T. Hall points out that each cultural community has developed a different perception of time and experience, and that time conveys the meaningful message nonverbally similar to the nonverbal elements such as space, gesture, eye movement, and facial expression. I investigated the time experiences of a drinking party in France and in Korea, from a cultural relativistic point of view. The subject of a drinking party was chosen on the ground that a drinking party is highly related to most people's daily lives and it also indicates how they have a relationship with others. I sought a new direction in foreign language cultural education by analyzing how cultural differences between the two communities, especially the relationships between individuals and organisations, ways to separate leisure and labor, and the nonverbal elements, are presented in the two drinking parties.

This writing is about an effort to try to preserve and transmit the materials related to Jing-Ju(京劇) who is the Chinese traditional theatrical art. The plan to preserve the materials of performing arts is very important because its collection and preservation about them are much more particular than other genres. China got the great results in this field because of China Jing-Ju Yinpeixiang (中國京劇音配像) project. Jing-Ju Yinpeixiang project is a kind of project to restore and preserve the materials which reproduced Jing-Ju repertoire by inserting the performance method of Yinpeixiang (音配像: put together images to sounds) by later actors and actresses of Jing-Ju in recordings of 1950s to 1960s by remained famous ones. Also, this is the large scale culture project that more than 170 institutions and more than 3000 persons participated in during the total 21 years that it first started in 1985 and was completed in the end of 2006. Thanks to this project, China got to have the almost perfect materials which reproduced live performances to add the images of junior actors and actresses who accurately imitated performances of 115 famous actors and actresses including each type of role, schools and great actors from 1907 to the end of 20th century in their voices. This is the only method to restore the materials in this world and very creative. It's been 15 years since TV broadcasting first showed its fruition to Chinese people. The Chinese government gave the positive judgement on this project and prepared to hold the big event which celebrated itself this year. But very little is known of this process and there is no any study in Korea. This writing tried to clarify what Jing-Ju Yinpeixiang project is, what it has meant to Chinese people and what results it has gotten after it's been 15 years since the first show was on TV.
The purpose of this research was to examine the discrimination between grit and passion; and to compare the relationship between grit and passion between eastern and western culture. The participants were 208 Korean and 251 American undergraduates. Multiple-group factor analysis confirmed the model of four (consistency of interest, perseverance of efforts, harmonious passion, and obsessive passion) factors by configural invariance and partial measurement invariance. Also we found positive correlation between consistency of interest and harmonious passion as well as negative correlation between consistency of interest and obsessive passion in the American sample. However, the correlation between grit(consistency of interest, perseverance of efforts) and passion(harmonious passion, obsessive passion) was not significant in the Korean sample. The results suggest that grit is not accompanied by passion among Korean university students. Findings empirically highlight the distinctiveness of grit and passion and the possibility of cultural differences in grit and passion, which were usually discussed western cultures.
