우리나라 대학들은 최근에 여러 환경 변화의 소용돌이 속에 몸살을 않고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 통계학과는 과연 안전지대에 놓여 있는가\ulcorner 이러한 변화 속에서 살아남기 위한 자구적인 노력은 얼마나 존재했는가\ulcorner 본 연구는 통계학과의 현황과 문제점을 진단하고, 그 해결방안을 탐색해보는데 목적이 있다.

현재 통계학과의 수가 급격히 감소하고 있으며 우수한 학생들의 유치가 매우 어려워지는 상황에서 본 연구에서는 통계학과의 발전방향에 대해 다양한 관점에서 연구해 보았다. 특히 외환부족 사태 이후 교직에 대한 선호도가 높아지고 또 7차 교육과정에서 통계 교육이 강화되는 시점에서 통계학에 대한 교직과정을 확대하는 방안 또한 알아보았다. 어느 하나 쉬운 것이 없지만 모두의 다양한 노력이 전제되어야만 더 나은 미래를 만들어 갈 수 있을 것이다.

Recently the status of statistics is in a critical condition in the curriculum of the universities. It is largely due to the decrease of applicants for the admission to the universities and growing tendency to prefer the departments that are advantageous for getting a job after graduation. Another reason for the present crisis of statistics is that scholars of statistics and related scholarly associations fail to prepare measures for the activation of statistics. In order to cope with these general problems, this study surveyed the courses which are related with or support the subject of statistics in the department, other than statistics, of two universities in the Yeongnam province. Based on the survey this study aims at suggesting some ways of activation of statistics.

In Korea, many local university mathematics faculty knew that the institution faced serious student shortage problems and the restructuring and cut actions for such a mathematics major programs. In general, undergraduate mathematics education in korea is in the crisis. In general, lots of mathematics departments in korea was not prepared for such a severe risk. In this article, university mathematics education and research business are studied in the context of the size of korea-usa population, economy(such as GDP), SCI indices. Korea-usa university mathematics education profile data are presented to compare korea-usa university mathematics education business. Lots of precious data on mathematics education are being helped to prepare for the university mathematics education crisis.

2020년도는 COVID-19 위기 상황으로 인하여 불가피하게 전면 비대면 교육을 시행하게 되었다. 연구자는 방사선사면허대비 전국 보건 계열 방사선과 3학년, 방사선학과 4학년 학생들이 면허시험을 앞두고 실시한 대면 교육과 비대면 모의시험(2019년 1.2회, 2020년 1.2회)의 성적을 알아보기 위하여 전국 방사선학과 및 방사선과 48개 대학 중 5개의 대학을 선정하여 대면 교육과 비대면 교육(2019년 1,2회, 2020년 1,2회)의 성적을 1회 모의고사 시험에 대면 교육과 비대면 교육(2019년 1회, 2020년 1회)의 성적을 비교하여, 비모수 검정으로 통계를 분석한 결과, 이론(Z=-2.023, p<0.05), 응용(Z=-2.023, p<0.05), 실기(Z=-2.023, p<0.05) 모두 성적에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 2회 모의고사 시험에 대면 교육과 비대면 교육 (2019년 2회, 2020년 2회)의 성적을 비교하여, 비모수 검정으로 통계를 분석한 결과, 이론(Z=-2.023, p<0.05), 응용(Z=-2.023, p<0.05), 실기(Z=-1.753, p<0.05) 성적에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 모의고사 시험의 결과 비대면 교육이 대면교육에 비교해 성적이 저조함에 따라 강의 방법을 달리하거나, 학생들과 소통할 수 있는 다양한 교육 방법을 병행해야 할 것으로 사료된다.
