  • This study is to examine loyalty building model which reflected differentiated traits of professional service to establish strong loyalty for gaining competitive edge. Professional service is where consumer can not easily predict the result of service as well as other common traits. It also has trait that is difficult to evaluate service satisfaction and quality even after using the service because knowledge imbalance between service provider and user is great. Therefore, in professional service, satisfaction and emotion that consumer perceives in the service use process will play critical role in loyalty formation. As a result, the model of this study divided dimension into responsiveness satisfaction which is satisfaction dimension of professional service use process, interaction satisfaction, technical satisfaction and structurally examined the relationship between emotional commitment and cognitive commitment and the relationship between dimension of commitment and loyalty. The analysis result show that dimension of satisfaction which perceived in professional service use process increases both emotional commitment and cognitive commitment and these commitments effect to loyalty formation.

  • Optical (R) and near-infrared (K') images of the IRAS 1-Jy sample of 118 ultraluminous infrared galaxies have been studied. All but one object in the 1-Jy sample show signs of strong tidal interaction/merger. Most of them harbor a single disturbed nucleus and are therefore in the later stages of a merger event. Single-nucleus ULIGs show a broad distribution in host magnitudes with significant overlap with those of quasars. The same statement applies to R - K' colors in ULIG and quasar hosts. An analysis of the surface brightness profiles of the host galaxies in single-nucleus sources reveals that about $35\%$ of the Rand K' surface brightness profiles are well fit by an elliptical-like $R^{1/4}$-law, while only $2\%$ are well fit by an exponential disk. Another $38\%$ of the single-nucleus systems are fit equally well with an exponential or de Vaucouleurs profile. Elliptical-like hosts are most common among merger remnants with Seyfert 1 nuclei ($83\%$) and Seyfert 2 optical characteristics ($69\%$). The mean effective radius of these ULIGs is 4.80 $\pm$ 1.37 kpc at Rand 3.48 $\pm$ 1.39 kpc at K'. These values are in excellent agreement with recent quasar measurements obtained at H with HST. The hosts of elliptical-like 1-Jy systems follow with some scatter the same ${\mu}e - r_e$ relation, giving credence to the idea that some of these objects may eventually become elliptical galaxies if they get rid of their excess gas or transform this gas into stars.

  • When we lose our memories or when our self-identity becomes blurred, we may feel as if our mind has split into multiple minds. If someone makes another 'me' by copying my body and mind, how should two conscious 'I's change their credences? In this article, we present a new thought experiment that can be called the 'Two Adams Problem'. This thought experiment represents a piece of philosophical inquiry that speculates on the nature of self-consciousness information that 'I am awake now'. On Sunday evening, as soon as Adam falls asleep, the philosopher Roro makes another Adam by copying Adam's original body and mind. They sleep separately in another room. Within a minute, Roro throws a fair coin. If the coin lands heads up Roro wakes just one of the Adams up on Monday. If the coin lands tails up Roro wakes both Adams up. On Monday, at least one of the Adams will wake up. To what degree ought they believe that the outcome of the coin toss is heads? We will argue that the correct answer to this question is 1/2.

  • The concept of natural grouping of plant designated as the "Amentiferous" is no longer given serious credence, and many of the families included in this grouping have been dispersed in diverse order. Because a review of taxonomic treatments of amentiferous taxa reveals diverse classifications, it has become necessary to investigate new characteristics and attempt to determine the significance of these characteristics in terms of amentiferous taxonomy. Protein analyses by isoelectrofocusing(IEF) and rocket immunoelectrophoresis(RIE) have proved to be useful in the delicitation of Quercus taxa using pollen extracts from selected taxa. When Quercus pollen extracts were separated by electrophoresis based on their isoelectric points in a stable pH gradient and substrates for estrase activity were stained, ten bands were revealed between pH 5-14. Within Lepidobalanus grouping, a great diversity in the pollen protein zymograms was observed with some segregation corresponding to the designated taxonomic sections. Two taxa of Cyclobalanopsis produced a zymogram that is somewhat similar to taxa included within the section Prinus of Lepidobalanus, and less similar to taxa within the section Cerris of the same subgenus. Three tested taxa of the Cerris are in the similar zymogram each other, being segregable from the taxa of Prinus. Quantitative and qualitative analyses for serological relationships within and among th Quercus were also employed. To calculate the degree of protein similarity, total rocket heights obtained from RIE provided an index of serological correspondence(SC). It is reconfirmed that the Quercus is distantly separated from the Fagus according to SC. Comparative data from rocket number and SC in the tested taxa of Quercus also indicate that Lepidobalanus is separable from Cyclobalanopsis. Within the Lepidobalanus Q. acutissima and Q. acutissima x variabilis are almost homogeneors and distinguishable from the other tested taxa of same subgenus. Although the number of taxa tested has been limited, the overall serological evidence best reflects the classification proposed by Redher(1940) and Melchior (1964), having the genus Quercus subdivided into three subgunera: Erythrobalanus, Lepidobalanus, and Cyclobalanopsis.alanopsis.

  • In this thesis, the author elaborates on how acceding to the Eurocentric paradigm-driven dichotomy of the premodern vs. modern engenders a logic bottleneck that debilitates academic efforts to explore the formation of the Korean constitution. Following this logic, the author will add credence to the belief that though the West may have had an influence on the formation of Korean democracy, the institution Korea enjoys today is a result of proactive and self-driven interpretation of those influences through the lens of local tradition. This insight is a prerequisite to understanding the spirit of Korea's First Constitution as a result of Koreans creative translation of Western democracy and Republicanism in the Korean context, and one whose roots lie deep in Confucian Great Harmony Thought. Through this, the thesis aims to offer insight into how Confucian Great Harmony Thought can shed light on the historical background of the spirit of Korea's Constitution.

  • Objective : Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the most common childhood psychiatric disorder, affecting $3-5\%$ of school age children. Although the biological basis of ADHD is unknown, family studies provide strong evidence that ADHD has a genetic basis. Recent genetic studies have suggested associations between ADHD and Taq I polymorphism of dopamine beta hydroxylase gene(DBH) . The aim of this study is to test the association between ADHD and Taq I polymorphism of DBH in Korean population. Method : We processed DNA extraction and genotyping for 106 korean children with ADHD and their parents. Genotyping was additionally performed for 212 age and gender matched normal controls. Case-control association study was applied. And we tested the association using the transmission disequilibrium test (TDT) and haplotype-based haplotype relative risk test (HHRR). Results : There were no statistical differences of genotype distributions between cases and controls. However, we did observe preferential transmission of allele Al of DBH Taq T polymorphism in ADHD. Conclusion : On the whole, our results lend credence to the notion that the relationship between ADHD and DBH is complex. The number of cases and informative transmissions were small, therefore it would be premature to make any conclusions from our study concerning the role of DBH in ADHD. Further work is needed to support these findings.

  • The product categories that can be sold on-line are expanding. It is interesting to see which product categories have more sales possibilities on internet. Small-sized firms' products have low distribution coverage, low brand recognition, bigger dispersion in the perception on the values which consist of quality vs. price, and higher possibilities of perceived purchase risks. Since on-line shopping is supposed to provide opportunities to small-sized firms that have low distribution and brand power, it is quite necessary to evaluate the fitness of on-line sales for small-sized firms' product categories. There are virtually no research studies on the on-line sales for small-sized firms' product categories. In this study, based on the integration of SEC, FCB, and related concepts, we develop new theoretical framework and test the fitness of on-line sales for small-sized firms' product categories by conducting empirical analysis. The empirical results on 17 product categories show that SEC, FCB, purchase risks, brand factors are somewhat related. Unlike previous studies, since the fitness of SEC and on-line sales are not clearly shown, we need to consider those problems within inter-related multiple frameworks. That is, it is necessary to evaluate the fitness of on-line sales after defining the product categories within the integrated multiple frameworks rather than within the single framework.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate prospective teachers' perceptions of the peer review comments readily available to them during the writing process in a teacher training class. Given these needs, we employ a qualitative method of inquiry giving voice to the learner's own view of peer feedback. The data we wish to consider is first-person narratives elicited from four EFL college students, who are prospective teachers of English. With regard to the EFL students' narrative considered here, all were attentive to the feedback they received. Moreover, the way in which these EFL writers talk about peer response activity reflects that they still welcome peer feedback because of the benefits to be accrued from it. Although this study, covering only four EFL students in total, can hardly be considered conclusive, we attempt to offer a synthesis of their stories. First of all, students indicate that they received responses from "authentic readers" (Mittan 1989, 209). We do note, consequently, that students gain a clear understanding of readers' needs by receiving feedback on what they did well and on what seems unclear. Perhaps the greater effect of peer feedback claimed by these students is that they take active roles in utilizing peer comments. Since they feel uncertain about the validity of their classmates' responses, students feel that they have autonomy over their own text and can make their own decisions on whether they should accept their peer comments or not. This contrasts with their treatment of teacher comments that they accept begrudgingly even if they disagree with them. Four EFL writers talked a lot, typically in a positive way, about peer response to their writing, yet they have expressed reservations about the extent to which they should put any credence in comments offered by their fellow students. Perhaps this is because their fellow students are still developing writers and EFL learners. In turn, they were sometimes reluctant to accept the peers' comments. Thus, in EFL contexts, L1 use can be suggested during peer feedback sessions. In particular, we have come to feel that L1 use enables both reviewers and receivers to have more productive peer review experiences. Additionally, we need to train students not "to see peer feedback as potentially bad advice" (Silva et al. 2003, 111). Teachers should focus on training students to utilize their peers' comments. Without such training, students will either ignore feedback or fail to use it constructively.

  • Three Japanese Buddhist scuptures of Daehyusa temple in Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do province(慶尙北道) are enshrined in the main hall(本堂) of Henjoin temple in Daegu, an annex temple built by the Chisan School(智山派) of Shingi Shingon sect(新義眞言宗) in Daegu around 1910 when the Japanese colonial period began. The following statues are believed to have been made around this time: the Statue of Kobo daishi(弘法大師像), which is the figure of monk Kukai(空海, 774-835), the founder of the Shingon sect(眞言宗) of Japan, and the Statue of Dainichi nyorai(大日如來像) and the Statue of Fudo myo-o(不動明王像), which are notable sculptures representing the thought and belief of the Shingon sect. Most statues identified of Dainichi nyorai, Kobo daishi, and Fudo myo-o from the Japanese colonial period thus far are rock-carved statues or stone statues. The statues of Daehyusa temple are noteworthy in that they are the first discovered Japanese Buddhist sculptures made of wood, known to have been enshrined in Japanese temples. Furthermore, they are valuable sources that can provide clues to the religious atmosphere of the temples of Chisan School of Shingi Shingon sect at the time. Although these statues have formative features that partially reflect modern aesthetics, their iconographic origins date back to the Heian period(平安時代, 794-1185). In other words, the Statue of Dainichi nyorai inherits the religious tradition of the Statue of Dainichi nyorai, which was created by monk Kakuban(覺鑁, 1095-1143), the founder of the Shingi Shingon sect. The Statue of Kobo daishi follows the Shinnyo Shinno(眞如親王) style founded by Monk-Imperial Prince Shinnyo who was a disciple of monk Kukai. The Statue of Fudo myo-o manifests the Genjo(玄祖) style among the statues of Fudo myo-o. Although not much is known about how the statues were enshrined in the Henjoin temple in Daegu during the Japanese colonial period, it is very likely that these statues were created as Shingi Shingon sect's statue of three-wheeled body(三輪身). That is, it is estimated that the Statue of Dainichi nyorai, Statue of Kobo daishi, and Statue of Fudo myo-o have the characteristics of the body of self-nature chakra(自性輪身), the body of great dharma chakra(正法輪身), and the body of order chakra(敎令輪身), respectively. The fact that the statue of three-wheeled body was established in the Shingon sect in Japan by monk Kakuban also lends credence to this possibility. It is thought that people who came to the Henjoin temple in Daegu worshiped the statue of three-wheeled body to understand the teachings of the Dainichi nyorai. Although it is the case of Sildalsa Temple (悉達寺, the successor of Henjoin temple in Daegu) in the first half of the 1950s, the main hall includes features that reinforce the idea that the tradition of Kobo daisi faith(弘法大師信仰) is passed on. To illustrate, the human skeletal remains in the main hall of Sildalsa Temple reflect Koyasan(高野山)'s tradition in laying ashes to rest, which has been popular in conjunction with the Kobo daishi faith in Japan since the 11th century.
