Interpretation and Preservation Plan for Landscapes of Okyeonsipyeong at Buyongdae, Hahoe Village - Based on the Writings of "Okyeonseodanggi" and "Okyeonsipyeong" - (하회마을 부용대의 경관 해석 및 보전방안 - "옥연서당기(玉淵書堂記)"와 "옥연십영(玉淵十詠)"을 중심으로-)

  • This study was to suggest cultural landscape preservation, value creation, as well as utilization plan to help landscape development of Hahoe village by identify the existence of Okyeonsipyeong(玉淵十詠) natural features, which were set around Buyongdae(芙蓉臺) in Hahoe Village by Seoae(西崖) Ryu, Seongryong(柳成龍), and understanding their characteristics and meanings of natural features and meanings. Based on the writings of "Okyeonseodanggi" and "Okyeonsipyeong", the major results of this study are as belows. 'Okyeon(玉淵)' letters carved on the rocks, also known as the name of pavilion in Okyeonjeongsa(玉淵精舍), is the center of Okyeonsipyeong that symbolizes the enlightenment of clean noble man, as well as the symbolic locational expression of studying room. One of Okyeonsipyeong, 'Wansimjae', is assumed to be the name from the combination of two Buddhist names, 'Wanjeok(玩寂)' and 'Seshim(洗心)', 'Dangho(堂號)', lined on both sides with Wonlakjae, the residence of Seoae, as the center. Wansimjae is after all the natural feature indicating the overall Okyeonjeongsa as the core of Okyeonsipyeong with west edge Gyeomamjeongsa(謙巖精舍). Among ten Okyeonsipyeong natural features, Wansimjae(玩心齋), Ganjukmun(看竹門), Gyeomamsa(謙菴舍), Dalgwandae(達觀臺), Ssangsongae(雙松厓), and Dohwacheon (桃花遷) are on the right side of the stairway from Okyeonjeongsa to Gyeomamjeongsa, while Chuwoldam(秋月潭), Neungpadae(凌波臺), Gyeseonam(繫船巖), and Jijuam(砥柱巖) are on the road to the cliff under river cliff in Buyongdae as well as to the dock, and all are located within 500m radius close and diameter area. As the results of lexeme and context analyses of Okyeonsipyeong poet, they are mainly about Confucian teachings symbolizing the constancy of the classical scholar including ego becoming one with the nature and back to the nature, unworldliness and farsighted view, transcendence and seclusion, as well as integrity spirit. In Dohwacheon and Gyeomamsa poets, there is Tao characteristics and brotherhood that pursue fairylands such as Mooreungdowon(武陵桃源). To create tourism brand and landscape of Okyeonsipyeong, it is necessary to prepare storytelling plans including the letters carved on the rocks introduction in Buyongdae area, and also synopsis of the Silgyeongsusang musical, 'Buyongjiae(芙蓉之愛)' that is related to 10 natural features. In addition, the related plans of the experience road from Gyeseonam, which is the boat stop in Buyongdae, to Ganjukmun of Okyeonjeongsa, and again to viewing routes on the stairways to Gyeomamjeongsa using boats are necessary. For preliminary preservation and maintenance plans, the safety of the stairway from Okyeonjeongsa to Gyeomamjeongsa should be secured, the rock inscription should be preserved, landscape interpretation plates should be installed, trees and shrubs around Dohwacheon rock inscription should be removed, Dalgwandae letters carved on the rocks should be restored, and the bamboo forest outside Ganjukmun as well as Prunus persica plantation around Dohwacheon should be pointed out.

  • The source of value-added creation in modern times has been transformed from material to man's value-added generating power, and ownership of the means of production has been converted from a particular landlord, capitalist to a person with value-added capacity, and a system of capital participation is needed beyond the profit-sharing system or performance incentive system in which workers of an enterprise participate in simple profits if they significantly increase the added value of the company. It is also necessary to introduce our private stock system as a means of addressing the problem of capital bias and for the stable development of capitalism. The purpose of Employee Stock Ownership Plans is to improve the economic and social status of workers and promote labor-management cooperation by allowing workers to acquire and hold shares of the stock company in which the employee ownership association is established through the employee ownership association, but the reality is that our stock ownership system has failed to achieve its purpose due to insufficient protection against the employee. In terms of welfare, the acquisition of our company shares should include active government support for the welfare of workers' ownership on a social welfare level rather than on the logic of the capital market, and in terms of investment, it would not be appropriate to apply the regulation for investor protection to see workers' acquisition of our company shares as 'investment' in the view of workers' willingness to own shares on the stock market. Therefore, as a way to support and deregulate employee's stock acquisition, 1. Expanding direct support, such as tax support, 2. As employee's stock ownership association is being discussed as a division's nature, it is less effective in terms of various management, not investment, and 3. Those who own stocks with 1% of the company's shares and 300 million won in face value will be classified as major shareholders.   • Contributed acceptance system is causing problems with the usefulness and follow-up services and the like, other than the origin purpose which needs to be operated as rational adjustment method between the public interest and the private. Accordingly, this study has examine the problems by analyzing the present condition of practical public facilities and has the purpose on drawing the improvements by conducting consciousness survey from in substance users. The problems drawn from the analysis and the survey are location and position of the public facilities by reason of making public facilities at leftover land, the awareness and use as in-site facilities, creating street facilities without considering the use and safety of the users, follow-up service issues and the usefulness issues by creation without considering the surrounding conditions. The proposal of improvements for efficient operation by each problems are devising plans by considering location and position of the facilities for utilization and usefulness, secondly the necessity of the public relations for the improvements of the utilization of public facilities. thirdly, conducting the legal obligation by installing direction boards for its awareness of public facilities and delegating operation of facilities to public corporations such as SH, LH and inhabitants for efficient follow-up services, lastly, establishing the public facility map service which could figure out the surrounding conditions of public facilities to utilize for the contributed acceptance.

Analysis of Inductive Reasoning Process (귀납적 추론의 과정 분석)

  • Problem solving is important in school mathematics as the means and end of mathematics education. In elementary school, inductive reasoning is closely linked to problem solving. The purpose of this study was to examine ways of improving problem solving ability through analysis of inductive reasoning process. After the process of inductive reasoning in problem solving was analyzed, five different stages of inductive reasoning were selected. It's assumed that the flow of inductive reasoning would begin with stage 0 and then go on to the higher stages step by step, and diverse sorts of additional inductive reasoning flow were selected depending on what students would do in case of finding counter examples to a regulation found by them or to their inference. And then a case study was implemented after four elementary school students who were in their sixth grade were selected in order to check the appropriateness of the stages and flows of inductive reasoning selected in this study, and how to teach inductive reasoning and what to teach to improve problem solving ability in terms of questioning and advising, the creation of student-centered class culture and representation were discussed to map out lesson plans. The conclusion of the study and the implications of the conclusion were as follows: First, a change of teacher roles is required in problem-solving education. Teachers should provide students with a wide variety of problem-solving strategies, serve as facilitators of their thinking and give many chances for them ide splore the given problems on their own. And they should be careful entegieto take considerations on the level of each student's understanding, the changes of their thinking during problem-solving process and their response. Second, elementary schools also should provide more intensive education on justification, and one of the best teaching methods will be by taking generic examples. Third, a student-centered classroom should be created to further the class participation of students and encourage them to explore without any restrictions. Fourth, inductive reasoning should be viewed as a crucial means to boost mathematical creativity.

  • With the advent of a new Korean government, a new national agenda (140 items) was reported. Additionally, Work Plans of the executive bodies were also released, including the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP); the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE); the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF); and the Ministry of Environment (MOE); the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT). For government-supported research institutes, it will be important to watch and analyze the changes in the government's primary policies and strategic goals. In this paper, we analyzed new governmental research and development (R&D) policy with respect to geoscience and mineral resources technology. The results indicated that the executive bodies emphasized, for the job creating 'creative economy' and the 'safety and integration society', the establishment of the creative economy; science and technology development based on creativity and innovation; creation of new growth engines by fusion and diffusion; construction of stable energy systems; promotion of environmental industry; and creating satisfactory land services. In the area of geoscience and mineral resources technology, it is time to search for a new, creative, and interagency fusion R&D contents to meet the needs of the public and boost its national competitiveness.

A Study on Zoning and Management of Conservation Area and Ecological Management Plan on Urban Stream Using Marxan - A Case of Jungrangcheon(Stream) in Seoul - (Marxan을 이용한 도시하천의 보전지역 설정 및 생태적 관리방안 연구 - 서울시 중랑천을 대상으로 -)

  • This study presented a plan for the establishment of conservation areas and the ecological management of those areas in the stream based on the Marxan with Zones Program for a Jungrangcheon Stream in downtown Seoul. The application of the Marxan with Zones Program included the stage of planning unit setting, application of mapping indices, numerical correction for repetitive analysis, creation of scenario-specific optimizations through analysis, analysis of sensitivity by scenario, review, and the selection of optimal plans among the scenarios considered. As a result of the establishment of a conservation area near Jungrangcheon Stream, which has several watershed areas, including an upper-middle-class wildlife protection zone, which was previously designated and managed as a conservation area, and the migratory protection zone downstream of Jungrangcheon Stream were designated as key conservation areas. A number of wild birds were observed in the upper reaches of Jungrangcheon Stream, adjacent to the forests of Suraksan Mountain and Dobongsan Mountain. The downstream area is a habitat for migratory birds that travel along the stream and the adjacent river ecosystem, including the Hangang River confluence and Cheonggyecheon Stream confluence. Therefore, the upper and lower reaches of Jungrangcheon Stream are connected to forest ecosystems such as Dobongsan Mountain, Suraksan Mountain, and Eungbongsan Mountain, as well as urban green area and river ecosystems in the basin area, which influence the establishment of conservation areas. This study verified the establishment and evaluation of existing conservation areas through the Marxan with Zones Program during the verification of the conservation areas and was presented as in-stream management and basin management method to manage the basin areas derived from core conservation areas determined through the program.

  • Every crime involves a victim and an offender. The offender, from the start of the criminal investigation, is considered as a suspect. After prosecution, he/she becomes the accused, and under consitutional law and criminal procedural law, has the right to enforce the contests of the acts. On the other hand, the victim or his/her family, despite being the person harmed, has very few and comparatively weak rights. To overcome this problem, the Korean criminal justice has recently recognised 'the protection and support of the victim' as a major proposition, and the police as well as the prosecutor's office have been releasing improvement plans for the protection of victims. Setting the above as the background, this thesis deals with the current victim protection acts and discusses the methods to improve them. This study will investigate a more reasonable and effective method of victim support and protection. Currently korea's laws regarding victim protection are not satisfactory, however it is fitting to say that it is certainly an external outline of what it should be. This has been due to the enforcement and creation of 'criminal victim protection' and has acted as a key to more improvements ever since. Despite this, the lack of commitment in human and financial resources to enforce these laws has now produced a possibility of the laws proving to be nothing but an unopened letter. An Analysis of Data Management Policies of Governmental Funding Agencies in the U.S., the U.K., Canada and Australia (국외 정부연구비지원기관의 연구데이터 관리정책 분석 - 미국, 영국, 캐나다, 호주를 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to analyze data management policies offered by 15 government funding agencies in the U.S., UK, Canada, and Australia, and to make recommendations for developing data management policies in Korea. For the analysis of data management policies, five criteria were suggested based on literature review as follows: 1) the definition of research data, 2) principles of data management, 3) data management plan, 4) the implementation of data management, 5) legal and ethical issues. It was found that there was no policy that covers all the criteria for the analysis. Several funding agencies, however, commonly dealt with each criteria in their data management policies. Based on the findings from the analysis, this study made the following suggestions: First, data policies provide definitions and types of research data based on the understanding of data creation in the fields of funding interests. Second, data policies include principles of data management applicable to data practices in Korea. Third, data policies implement data management plans to promote responsibility of researchers for managing data. Fourth, data policies specify data management implementations to facilitate and support data sharing practices. Fifth, data policies should minimize legal and ethical challenges in data sharing through the review of the applicability of related laws and regulations and their improvement.

  • The government has recognized the importance of smart city indicators and prepared the legal grounds for the certification of smart cities in the recently revised "Act on Smart City Development and Industrial Promotion." This study derived smart city indicators adequate for the domestic conditions and compatible with the overseas trends by examining and complementing the indicators through an AHP analysis based on consultations and interviews (surveys) with experts and local government officials, who are actually carrying out related projects. In addition, the adequacy and reliability of the indicators were confirmed by verifying and certifying the Korean local governments' smart city plans through demand surveys on a trial basis. This study is meaningful in that it systematically studies the smart city indicators that have gained in importance and reviews their application. The findings of this study can be used as a basis for implementing a smart cities certification system in the future. Recently, the Special Committee on Smart Cities was established under the Committee for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This committee is composed of civilian members and is working with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, the Ministry of Science and ICT, etc., to promote the creation of smart cities. It is expected that smart city indicators that include the levels of both domestic and overseas smart cities will boost the active spread of such cities in Korea.

A Study on Improvement Plans of Public Support for Performing Arts Industry's Distribution (공연예술산업의 유통부문 지원 개선방안)

  • The subject of this study is to search for the improvements or solutions of problems in the field of the performing arts that relies on public support and faces economic difficulties. Considering the value chain for the performing arts industry is comprised of Creation-Distribution-Consumption is isolated relatively, this study aims to identify improvements for the distribution system. By examining the government's theater-oriented support policy, this study details methods of improvements in the distribution sector of the performing arts industry. Following the study of the performing arts industry and its value chain, the study analyzes the structure, factors and the present state in the performing arts industry, as well as the volume and type of public sector support for distribution. The study concludes by suggestingmagnifying government's Distribution sector supporting that was limited by only 2.7% in 2014, and fostering and specialty improvement of circulation agents such as production agencies.In addition, supporting distribution diversification, namely the extension of platforms like the Visualization of Performing Arts, is needed. These alternatives will contribute to balanced development and coevolution of each sector which comprises the performing arts industry's value chain.
