A Study on Total Coordination Trend Appeared in the Punk Style (펑크스타일의 토탈 코디네이션 경향)

  • It is an important means of expressing oneself and is affected by the social and cultural environment, too. People are creating another new lower culture, it's Sub Culture, that is, their own unique new fashion through the coordination status of a lower culture and its components to reveal the visual symbol of such garments and body decorations most clearly. The Punk formed as an reaction to 1960's hippie appeared as the most unpleasant image to the established generations with their ultimate resisting action and new aesthetic-consciousness. Their coordination by the use of the disorder and stimulative tool which gives abhorrence appears again as Cyber Punk being influenced by optical art and multimedia in '90s. It can be seen that the form of lower culture mentioned above became a storehouse of new fashion creation through the most nuclear role of lower culture and the unique characteristic coordination by age and that each lower culture fashion can become a style icon of new fashion through free coordination.

Previewer Design and Implementation for Grid/Particle based Fluid Simulation Data (격자/입자기반 유체 시뮬레이션 데이터를 위한 프리뷰어의 설계 및 구현)

  • Computer Graphics(CG) are very important in the movie industries. Recently, many domestic CG Companies participate in a movie creation. However, most companies only use commercial tools, and do not concentrate on developing techniques. This is why they use the commercial tools in spite of its lack of functions. In this paper, we explain the importance of developing technical tools to complement the shortage of commercial tools through the previewer for fluid simulation. We present how we design and implement the previewer to specialize it for fluid simulation. Finally, we estimate our previewer's performance and discuss with result.

Generation of Simulation input Stream using Threshold Bootstrap (임계값 부트스트랩을 사용한 시뮬레이션 입력 시나리오의 생성)

  • The bootstrap is a method of computational inference that simulates the creation of new data by resampling from a single data set. We propose a new job for the bootstrap: generating inputs from one historical trace using Threshold Bootstrap. In this regard, the most important quality of bootstrap samples is that they be functionally indistinguishable from independent samples of the same stochastic process. We describe a quantitative measure of difference between two time series, and demonstrate the sensitivity of this measure for discriminating between two data generating processes. Utilizing this distance measure for the task of generating inputs, we show a way of tuning the bootstrap using a single observed trace. This application of the threshold bootstrap will be a powerful tool for Monte Carlo simulation. Monte Carlo simulation analysis relies on built-in input generators. These generators make unrealistic assumptions about independence and marginal distributions. The alternative source of inputs, historical trace data, though realistic by definition, provides only a single input stream for simulation. One benefit of our method would be expanding the number of inputs achieving reality by driving system models with actual historical input series. Another benefit might be the automatic generation of lifelike scenarios for the field of finance.

  • The evolutions of human mental capability and technology opened a new era called "Digital Space." Moreover, Digital Space as technology is already accelerating the process of "self-expansion." The expansion, on the foundation of its conceptual and morphological variety, acquired the potential to furnish various types of spatiotemporal experience. This phenomenon, as a necessary consequence of focusing on the resulting value of the human-space relation which came next to its ontological value, requests the value of the space design as an attempt of various phenomenal experience in the relation of technology, human, and space to be educationally established. From a typological point of view, no true creation exists in any form of design. It is practically impossible to design in the void without any restrictions, and all design is based on preceding examples. This is because production of artificial is based on the universal principles or structure residing in history, namely, typology. Considering Digital Space from technological and cultural standpoints, it can obviously be called a new type of space, and beyond that, it becomes a new type of a methodological tool of design. Thus, the purpose of this study is to systematize the paradigm of the space design in the digital era by studying the concept of space in Digital Space from the standpoints of history and context, that is typology, and in accordance with it, classify the phases of the space design that is led digitally.at is led digitally.

  • Virtual human models are widely used to save time and expense in vehicle safety studies. A human model is an essential tool to visualize and simulate a vehicle driver in virtual environments. This research is focused on creation and application of a human model fer virtual reality. The Korean anthropometric data published are selected to determine basic human model dimensions. These data are applied to GEBOD, a human body data generation program, which computes the body segment geometry, mass properties, joints locations and mechanical properties. The human model was constituted using MADYMO based on data from GEBOD. Frontal crash and bump passing test were simulated and the driver's motion data calculated were transmitted into the virtual environment. The human model was organized into scene graphs and its motion was visualized by virtual reality techniques including OpenGL Performer. The human model can be controlled by an arm master to test driver's behavior in the virtual environment.

  • Information technology instruments arc being rampantly used for knowledge management in companies. IT is used as an interplay tool to enhance the flow of knowledge and information between people. KMS, especially, supports the knowledge management process including sharing, creating, and using of knowledge within a company, and maximizes the value of knowledge resources within an organization. The purpose of this paper is to understand how IT is changing the knowledge management activity. through various examples based on exploratory research from MANDO, the Korean automotive parts manufacturer, and POSCO, the global leading steelmaker. The result shows that IT boosts communication skills, thus creates a mutual relationship outcome. In the same context, the process of knowledge conversion by Nonaka's SECI model simplifies to an Externalization-Internalization process. This process accelerates the birth of explicit knowledge and Socialization, supplements the Limitations of the creation of knowledge in the E-I cycle. The E of knowledge simultaneously promotes the I, and eventually brings an advanced learning skill. IT aids the E of knowledge and furthermore, I and E activity, through the knowledge sharing, brings vitality into an organization. The interplay stage for knowledge activity is to be reorganized to a cyber ba. Furthermore, IT will galvanize the formation of core knowledge through systemized acquisition, management of core knowledge and standardization of work.

The types and expressions of new media fashion film

  • A new form of media is changing the expression and content of fashion. In this paper, fashion films that have appeared since 2010 - when digital fashion communication was increasing - will be discussed and explored to consider how technological transitions in fashion media are changing the appearance and role of fashion. A literature review was conducted to derive characteristics, types, and expressive elements of new media fashion films, which were defined for this study as fashion films produced and distributed since 2010 using digital media. Films were categorized into three types: promotional, editorial, and independent fashion films. Furthermore, elements of the films were identified as fashion mise-en-scene, auditory structure, and content structure. Types and expressions of digital fashion images in 40 fashion films were analyzed according to these elements. The results showed that promotional fashion films maximize various narrative and sensory effects on fashion products, whilst editorial fashion films strengthen the role of entertainment. Independent fashion films expand the area of fashion and promote the diversification of fashion systems. Moreover, the results show that fashion films are not a secondary form of media that just expresses fashion; they provide a tool for the creation of new fashion content. New media fashion films promote the expansion of expressive spectra and boundaries, offering various multisensory experiences of fashion, and enhancing creativity and the aesthetic values of fashion.

C4ISR Systems IDS Performance Enhancing Method (C4ISR 체계 IDS의 성능 향상 방안)

  • C4ISR system is an important tool for military operational command and control. Therefore, it is frequently exposed to the cyber-terror attempt to paralyze the military command and control system. Generally, the information system uses IDS and firewall as major security computing tools. C4ISR system also uses them as major measures for the information protection. But the usefulness of IDS is reduced due to the frequent false-positives and false-negatives if the behavioral patterns are modified or new behavioral patterns appear. This paper presents new IDS structure which can create modified attack patterns and unexpected attack patterns automatically during IDS probing process. The proposed IDS structure is expected to enhance the information protection capability of the C4ISR system by reducing false-positives and false-negatives through the creation and verification of new attack patterns.

Revitalization Strategy of Information Security Industry Using Cognitive Map Analysis (인지지도분석을 통한 정보보호 산업 활성화전략)

  • This study analyzed President Park's speeches and the government's industry policy in the field of information security using cognitive map. The relationship analysis between policy tool variables and policy goal variables was employed to derive revitalization strategy of information security. This paper found that entrepreneurship revitalization has very strong causality with expansion of domestic market and global market. But, on the other hand, HR development has very weak causality with job creation and future growth driver because the labor market in the information security industry is poor and its transfer rate to other industry is very high. This study showed that this cognitive map could be characterized by a scarcity of feedback loops and a strong emphasis on the positive loops in the structure of virtuous circle. In this paper, we also constructed a comprehensive cognitive map on the policy vision of information security, showing that there are a risk of cyber threat, an opportunity of new fusion security market, information security reinforcing circle, global economic circle, and domestic market circle.

  • Autonomous and intelligent resource model (AIR-model) defines a building-block of complex systems to pursue value creation by means of diverse resources, referred to as an AIR-unit, and presents a collaboration model with the AIR-units. An AIR-unit represents a piece of resources, such as machines, labor, raw materials, and other assets, considered individually by a complex system as means to accomplish given tasks. It is defined with its own service capability and a goal, and pursues achieving the goal by means of the capability. Moreover, an Air-unit is equipped with autonomy and intelligence, whereby it makes a decision on its course of action on its own initiative. Air-units collaborate on system operations with each other through goal-oriented negotiations. In this research, distinctive features of the AIR-model are addressed and described in detail. Principal components of the AIR-model are also designed via object-oriented modeling techniques. A prototype system based on the AIR-model is finally presented as an embodiment tool of a fractal manufacturing system (FrMS).
