In this thesis the northeast Asian footwear culture are examined,. in order to search the origin It started from the cradle of ancient civilization such as Meospotamia Egypt Indus and ancient China civilization region prior to the northeast Asia. The results are: On account severe intense climates and rough road as well ancient people starts to put the shoes on. Primitive form of ancient footwear put into the two categories: Chinese in the central land begins to put the shoes named Lee. After making contact with nomadic northern races boots named Wha is adopted functionally and taken throughout China. oreans wear the shoes both boots and shoes named Lee. Japanese walked with bare feet and simul-taneously Dagetta was used for rice farming. The changes of footwear is mainly in-fluenced by the factors such as climate con-dition social economic prohibition func-tional elements and aesthetic standards. Cli-mate conditions have influence upon the footwear materials form and foot exposure, The functional elements influenced on the ways of wearing shoes. Decorated patterns and materials of footwear is under the influnece of social economic prohibition and also affected by aesthetic standards(Tab 1-4) In accordance with pattern function materials of footwear the type and characteristics of footwear in China Korea nd japan came out with diversity(Tab 5-9)
Life Cycle Assessment for the pulp, which is mainly used as the raw material of fine paper, base paper for food packaging and paper cup, has been carried out in this study to consider environmental aspects by quantifying the environmental emission and to evaluate its environmental impact potential. The system boundary was selected from cradle to gate stage(raw material acquisition, transportation of raw material and product manufacturing) of the product. Environmental impact was divided into 8 categories considering Korean situation: abiotic resource depletion, global warming, ozone depletion, acidification, eutrophication, photochemical oxidant creation, ecotoxicity and human toxicity. In Life Cycle Impact Assessment(LCIA) methodology phase, Ecopoint, Eco-indicator 95 and Korean eco-indicator were used and the results carried out by each methodology were compared. The results from this study were also compared with those of foreign study to verify the reliability of the results. The results of the study could be utilized as the basic data for Environmental Management System(EMS), Design for Environment(DfE) and Type III eco-labeling in the paper and paper-related industry.
This study presents detailed emission of greenhouse gases of using Clean Energy Agriculture System according to a cradle-to-gate life-cycle assessment, including emission from energy use and leak of Biogas. Calculations were done with the PASS software and the covered gases are $CH_4$, $N_2O$ and $CO_2$, Total GHG fluxes of amount to $1719.03kgCO_2/day$, $39.63kgCO_2/day$ (2.31%) are from facility house process, $0.19kgCO_2/day$ (0.01%) are from transport process, $696.72kgCO_2/day$ (40.53%) are from Anaerobic digestion process, $846.61kgCO_2/day$ (49.25%) are from Heating and cooling system, $135.88kgCO_2/day$ (7.90%) are from Fertigation production process. The results suggest that for effective reduction of GHG emissions from Facility house using clean energy. Reduction targets should address both the production process as defined by IPCC sectors and the consumption process. An LCA assessment as presented here could be a basis for such efforts.
In tube hydroforming process, several defective products could be obtained such as bursting, wrinkling, folding, buckling. Because, especially, bursting is most frequently occurred failure among the well known failures, it is mostly important to predict the onset of bursting failure on tube hydroforming process. For most sheet metal forming processes, strain based forming limit diagram(FLD) is used often as a criteria to estimate the possibility of onset of the failures proposed above. However, FLD has a shortcoming that it is dependent on strain path while stress based diagram is independent on strain history. Generally, tube hydroforming consists of three main processes such as pre-bending, pre-forming, and hydroforming and it means that the strain histories of final products are nonlinear. Therefore, forming limit stress diagram(FLSD) is more suitable to predict forming limit for hydroforming parts. In this study, FLSD is applied to estimate bursting failure for an engine cradle of an automobile part. Consequently, it is proved that application of FLSD to predict forming limit is available for tube hydroforming parts.
Tube hydroforming process is generally consisted with pre-bending, preforming and hydroforming processes. Among forming defects which may occur in tube hydroforming such as buckling, wrinkling and bursting, the wrinkling and bursting by local instability under excessive tensile stress mode were mainly caused by thinning phenomenon in the manufacturing process. Thus the accurate prediction and suitable evaluation of the thinning phenomenon play an important role in designing and producing the successfully hydroformed parts without any failures. In this work, the formability on hydroformed part for automobile, i.e. engine cradle, was evaluated using finite element analysis. The initial tube radius, loading path with axial feeding force and internal pressure, and preformed configuration after preforming process were considered as the dominant process parameters in total tube hydroforming process. The effects on these process parameters could be confirmed through the numerical experiments with respect to several kinds of finite element simulation conditions. The degree of enhancement on formability with each process parameters such as initial tube radius, loading path and preform configuration were also compared. Therefore, it is noted that the evaluation approach of the formability on hydroformed parts for lots of industrial fields proposed in this study will provide one of feasible methods to satisfy the increasing practical demands for the improvement of the formability in tube hydroforming processes.
City Train Technology that is large and complex system and consists of mechanical, electronic, electric, materials, computer, communication, civil/track etc. is very important area of railway industry, national fundamental industry. The standardization of city train system as a public transportation method and foundation of national economy is very important in order to do effective operation and to get fundamental technology, and the information system of the standards is required to operate the city train system effectively. By building data base of city train system design knowledge using computer-aided system engineering tool-Cradle, the system development issues and the design solutions are used by all engaged persons, and are managed by modeling and documentation. And this system will support architecture design consistently and effectively by applying this system to formalize early development process, to system requirements and configuration management, to system interface analysis and management and to system behavior analysis etc.. This study is for construction of data base of system design knowledge through making data base of many kinds of standards using CASE tool based on System Engineering Process, and introduces a model to support concurrent engineering for all engineers involved in system development allowing access to standard DB through Web from anywhere and at anytime.
A railway is a complex system integrated with a lot of technical elements such as trains, track facilities, human factors, operation & control and maintenance. As a mass transportation system, a railway could contain potential risks that may result in a high death rate and property losses. Accordingly, Railroad Safety Technology R&D Corps. is adopting the plan of the construction of Railway Safety Test Facilities as a part of the Railway Total Safety Project to enhance the railway safety, and carrying out researches on effective project management methods with Systems Engineering techniques. Recently, various systems engineering tools such as CORE or Cradle are applied to manage the system requirements and the project management process in the part of the aerospace engineering and automobile engineering so on. The railway industry also makes an effort to develop an efficient management skills using systems engineering tools as the railway system is multi-disciplinary. Therefore, we propose the more effectual management method of constructing the Railway Safety Test Facilities applying the systems engineering tool to the research.
During the complex systems development, a great deal of data are generated from both the systems engineering process and project management process, and also some data are required to be prepared for the system engineering management plan (SEMP). For the successful completion of the project, it is necessary to effectively manage all the data in order to maintain data consistency and traceability. To fulfill the necessity, this paper introduces the concept of an integrated data architecture and discusses its realization with $Cradle^{(R)}$(a computer aided systems engineering tool). Also, it was described how to automate the production of the SEMP in that working environment. The result of the approach, managing complex data efficiently in the systems engineering view, has been successfully applied in the Railway Safety Development Program.
The growth in global energy demand and the increased recognition of the impacts of carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel plants have aroused a renewed interest on nuclear energy. Many countries are looking afresh at building more nuclear power stations to deal with the twin problems of global warming and the need for more generating capacity. Many in the nuclear community are also anticipating a significant growth of new nuclear generation in the coming decades. If there is a nuclear renaissance, will the expansion of nuclear power be compatible with global non-proliferation and security? or will it add to the environmental burden from the large inventory of spent nuclear fuel already produced in existing nuclear power reactors? We learn from past peaceful nuclear activities that significant concerns associated with nuclear proliferation and spent-fuel management have resulted in a decrease in public acceptance for nuclear power in many countries. The terrorist attack in the United States (US) on September 11, 2001 also raised concern for security and worry that nuclear materials may fall into the wrong hands. As we increase the use of nuclear power, we must simultaneously reduce the proliferation, security and environmental risks in managing spent-fuel below where they are today.
Recently, automotive companies have invested in vehicle weight reduction and clean car development because of oil price rises and environmental problems. In particular, USA car makers have developed the vehicle spending 1 liter per 34km complying with PNGV(Partnership for a new generation of vehicle) and Europe car makers have developed the vehicle spending 3 liters per 100km. The USA government announced "The green car policy" in order to boost production of more fuel effective cars in 2009. According to the policy, it will be restricted to sell the car which spends more than 1 liter per 14.9km by 2020. To satisfy the current situations on automotive market, hydroforming technology has widely adapted vehicle structures such as engine cradle, chassis frame, A pillar, radiator support, etc. However, automotive companies have to consider formability and performance to improve and maximize the benefit from this technology in advance of detail design. The paper deals with one of the vehicle weight reduction methods using tube hydroforming technology and platform commonality in front suspension. FEA simulation is also introduced to evaluate hydro-formability and NVH performance at the beginning of design stage which is the best way to reduce the failure cost.
