The Effect of a Au Based Bonding Agent Coating on Non-Precious Metals-Ceramic Bond Strength (비귀금속 합금에 적용한 Au Based Bonding Agent가 금속-도재 결합에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study investigated the effect of Au coating on adhesion between porcelain matrix and metal substructure interface. Titanium, Ni-Cr alloy and Co-Cr alloy are well known as proper metal for the dental restorations. The success of a porcelain fused to metal (PFM) restoration depends upon the quality of the porcelain-metal bond. However, adhesion between dental alloys and porcelain is related to diffusion of oxygen during ceramic firing. The excessive oxidized layers make hard adhesion between dental alloy and ceramic. Ni-Cr and Co-Cr specimens were divided into test and a control group and Titanium specimens were divided into three test groups and a control group. Each group had 20 specimens. The adhesion characteristics of porcelain and metal with Au coating layer and without Au coating layer were observed with scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The adhesion was evaluated by a biaxial flexure test and volume fraction of adherent porcelain was determined by SEM/EDS analysis. Result of this study suggest that Au coating layer is effective barrier to diffuse oxide layer completely protect non-precious alloys from oxidation during the porcelain firing. The SEM photomicrographs of cross-section specimens showed a smooth interface between Au coating layer and metals and porcelain which suggested proper chemical bonding, and no gap, porosity were observed. The mode of failure was mainly adhesive for Ti tested specimens, but mixed failures with adhesive and cohesive were observed in Ni-Cr and Co-Cr specimens. The adhesion between non-precious metals and porcelain would not be improved by Au coating agent. However, It is suggested that the continuous study is required further investigation and development.

  • 차세대 원자로 핵연료의 성능을 제한하는 금속연료-피복관 상호반응 현상(FCCI)을 방지하기 위한 방안으로 Cr 도금기술의 적용성을 연구하였다. 도금 성능을 평가하기 위한 예비 시험 결과 Cr 도금층은 핵연료와 피복관의 상호반응을 억제함이 확인되었다. 도금층 성질을 개선하기 위한 연구와 함께 Cr층을 피복관 내면에 도금하는 연구를 수행하였다.

  • 본 연구는 플라즈마 전해 산화 (PEO) 및 RF (Radio Frequency) 스퍼터링을 이용한 2 단계 접근법에 의해 처리 된 MgO / Ni-Cr의 고내식성 이중층 코팅을 제조하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 $100mA/cm^2$ 교류 조건에서 180 s PEO를 한 후 150W 에서 900s RF 스퍼터링을 수행 하였다. 코팅의 형태는 주사전자현미경(SEM)을 사용하여 관찰되었으며 코팅의 상조성은 X-선 회절(XRD) 및 X-선 광전자 분광법(XPS)을 사용하여 분석하였다. SEM 이미지는 스퍼터링 된 Ni-Cr이 크랙의 대부분과 미세한 미세 공극을 덮어 코팅 결함이 감소함을 보여 주었다. 따라서, 코팅 된 샘플의 거칠기 값은 스퍼터링 공정 후에 감소되었다. 단면 이미지로부터, 스퍼터링된 코팅층은 낮은 두께 때문에 거의 검출되지 않았다. EDS, XRD 및 XPS를 사용한 조성 분석은 금속 상태의 형태로 Ni 및 Cr 존재를 나타내었고 XPS에서 NiCr2O4 부동태 피막이 검출되었다. MgO / Ni-Cr 이중층 코팅의 내부식성은 MgO / Ni-Cr 이중층을 가진 샘플의 금속 원소와 비교하여 우수한 부식 특성을 나타내는 전위 역학적 분극 시험 및 전기 화학적 임피던스 분광법으로 평가 하였다.

  • 결정질 TiCrN과 AlSiN 나노층이 교대로 구성하는 나노 다층 TiAlCrSiN 박막은 음극 아크 플라즈마 증착법에 의해 증착되었다. 나노 다층 TiAlCrSiN 박막의 산화특성들은 $600{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$사이에서 대기 중 최대 70시간동안 연구 되었다. 형성된 산화물들은 주로 $Cr_2O_3$, ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$, $SiO_2$ 그리고 rutile-$TiO_2$들로 구성되었다. 나노 다층 TiAlCrSiN 박막이 산화하는 동안, 가장 바깥쪽의 $TiO_2$층은 Ti 이온의 외부확산에 의해, 외부 $Al_2O_3$층은 Al이온의 외부확산에 의해 형성되었다. 동시에, 내부($Al_2O_3$, $Cr_2O_3$) 혼합층과 가장 안쪽의 $TiO_2$층은 산소이온의 내부확산에 의해 형성되었다.

  • Alloy 600 표면에 레이저 빔을 이용하여 Ni, Cr 흔합분말 및 순수 Cr 분말로 표면합금층을 만들었다. 표면 합금층은 모재와 정합계면를 이루고 있으며 레이저 표면용용 시편에서와 같이 크게 면선단 응고부와 셀룰라 응고부로 나눌 수 있고, 모재에는 레이저 처리과정에서 생긴 수십 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 두께의 열영향 부위가 존재하였다. 그리고 합금층 내부에는 레이저 표면 용용된 시편과 달리 구형의 커다란 기공(pores)이 존재하였다. 레이저 표면 합금층에서 합금원소의 조성 분포를 조사하기 위해 레이저 처리된 시편에 대해 WDX 분석을 하였고, 합금층 내부에 Ni, Cr, Fe 원소의 조성 분포는 매우 균일하였다.

  • 최근 다층 코팅의 합성을 통해 코팅의 경도, 내마모성 등의 기계적 물성을 향상시키는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 높은 경도, 낮은 마찰계수, 우수한 고온 특성을 함께 나타내기 위해 CrZrN/CrZrSiN 다층 코팅을 설계하였고, 이중층 주기를 조절하여 CrZrN/CrZrSiN 다층 코팅의 물성변화를 확인하였다.

  • Sputter deposited CoCr(Mo)/Si film were studied with emphasis on the correlation between magnetic properties and crystallographic orientation. The perpendicular coercivities of CoCr films decreased with Si underlayer thickness, whereas those of CoCrMo films increased with Si underlayer thickness. It has been explained that additions of the larger atomic radius Mo atoms in CoCr films impedes crystal growth resulting in a decrease in grain size, thus this small grain size may induce high perpendicular coercivity. The c-axis alignment of CoCrMo film was improved due to addition of 2at.%Mo. It means CoCrMo layer grow self-epitaxial directly from orientation and structure of Si underlayer when the main layer grow on underlayer.

  • The magnetic properties change which was induced by addition of small amount of Ni into Cr underlayer in CoCrTa/ CrNi thin film deposited by electron beam evaporator was investigated. The additional Ni element was found to be beneficial for incease in the coercivity of the thin film deposited at the room temperature. The origin of coercivity increase was elucidated by crystal orientation and microstructure investigation using XRD and AFM respectively. It was found that the grain size were increased by Ni addition. The coercivity of the film with CrNi underlayer is lower than that of film with Cr underlayer when prepared with higher substrate temperature. This result may be originated with the increase in grain size. When film was deposited at 280 $^{\circ}C$ substrate temperature, Cr segregation in grain boundary is found to be the other factor for determining coercivity value.

Exchange Coupling in CoZr/Ag/CoCr Trilayered Films (CoZr/Ag/CoCr 삼층박막의 교환결합)

  • For CoZr/Ag/CoCr trilayered films deposited by DC and FR magnetron sputtering method, ferromagentic resonance experiments have been used to investigate the dependence of the exchange coupling between CoZr and CoCr layers separated by Ag layer on the thickness of the Ag layer. The coupling strength K increases with increasing Ag thickness up to 10 $\AA$ with a maximum value of 748 Oe, but oscillates with increasing Ag thickness in the range from 20 to 100 $\AA$. The coupling strength is positive for all samples. Hence, it seems that the exchange coupling between CoZr and CoCr layers separated by Ag layer is ferromagnetic.

  • In this paper, we fabricated the micro hotplate which consisted of a thin film heater(Pt/Cr bilayers) sandwiched with the thermal oxide and E-beam evaporated oxide. And we studied the electrical and the structural properties of Pt/Cr bilayers due to annealing temperature. When we compared the temperature measured from type k thermocouples with the temperature acquired from I.R. thermo-vision system according to the variations of emissivity, the emissivity of I-beam evaporated oxide was 0.5. The sheet resistance of Pt/Cr bilayers didn't depend on the Cr layer thickness, and it was considered as the existence of CrO between the Pt and the Cr layer. When the annealing temperature was increased from $500^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$, the out-diffusions of Cr were increased(which was confirmed by AES depth profile) and the grain size of Pt(220) phase was enlarged also(analyzed by XRD and SEM photographs). From the results of XRD analysis and AES depth profile, the Pt/Cr bilayers annealed at $500^{\circ}C$ were more stable than any other cases in structural properties.
