Purpose - The increase in organizational citizenship behavior is important in that it creates a cooperative atmosphere within the organization. Proving how OCB toward coworkers changes in negative leadership situations such as abusive supervision is a new research stream. Therefore, this study examines the main effects of the supervisor's abusive supervision on OCB of subordinates for coworkers, and then attempts to clarify that the perceived LMX differentiation of team members play a moderating role. Research design, data, and methodology - First, we examine the effects of the supervisor's abusive supervision on OCB of subordinates in the team toward colleagues. Second, the degree of perceived LMX differentiation is measured to verify the moderating effect of abusive supervision on OCB toward coworkers. Result - Hypothesis 1 is that abusive supervision has a negative effect on coworkers' OCB. Hypotheses 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3 test the moderating effect of perceived LMX differentiation, and the relationship between abusive supervision and coworkers' OCB will change according to the perceived degree of LMX differentiation. Conclusion - It is significant in that the scope of abusive supervision research has been expanded through the team level moderator of perceived LMX differentiation, away from the research on abusive supervision that was mainly discussed at the level of dyadic relationship (between the supervisor and the one subordinate).
This present study tested whether job stress mediates the relationship between workload and safety behavior of members in organization. In addition, we hypothesized trust in leader/coworkers functions as moderator between not only the workload-job stress link, but also the job stress-safety behavior link. In order to investigate the hypotheses, 841 employees in various fields of companies were sampled. Using structural equation modeling(SEM), we conducted moderated mediation model analysis which elaborately investigated the significance of our hypotheses. The results indicated that job stress mediated the link between workload and safety behavior of members. In addition, the relationship between workload and job stress was moderated by trust in leader/coworkers. Moreover trust in leader/coworkers moderated the job stress-safety behavior linkage. The implications and limitations of our study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of workplace violence experienced by taxi drivers and identify the affected factors. Methods: Two hundred twelve taxi drivers were investigated for general characteristics and workplace violence was evaluated using K_WVSⓇ13. The data was collected from July to October 2020 through questionnaires. It was analyzed using t-test and ANOVA with SPSS WIN23.0. Results: Most of the taxi drivers were elderly and suffered from long hours of labor and low wages. After evaluating four sub-factors of workplace violence, 'psychological and sexual violence from customers', 'psychological and sexual violence from customers, supervisors, and coworkers' and 'physical assault from customers/supervisors/coworkers' were judged as risks. For 'psychological and sexual violence from customers, supervisors, and coworkers', the mean score by age was significantly higher for workers in their 70s or older and those with 30 years of experience compared to other age groups. In the case of 'psychological and sexual violence from customers', sales taxis were significantly higher than private taxis. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop a workplace violence prevention program suitable for the characteristics of taxi drivers in order to manage their physical and mental health. When establishing such a program, business type, age, and experience must be considered.
Construction sites have various risks, and safety managements are enforced based on the law such as Industrial Safety and Health Act, etc. Safety management by the law saves lives and preserves health of workers by removing and understanding risks in advance. When the emergency situation has come, poor response causes loss of lives and physical damages. This study suggests basic strategy that can mitigate the industrial disaster in all construction sites. A survey was conducted to identify the current safety consciousness and to evaluate first aid ability of coworkers. Finally, four measures were suggested: (1) designating muster points; (2) hiring occupational health managers; (3) increasing the first aid ability of coworkers; and (4) carrying safety brochure. The proposed suggestions can be helpful in mitigating the construction disaster, and in responding the major accident efficiently within a short time.
The main purpose of this study is to empirically examine and to develop the optimal model about an influential relationship between the types of source-based trust and knowledge sharing of local government officials. Procedural and distributive justice-based calculative trust in organization, cognition-based trust in organization, cognition-based trust in supervisor, cognition-based trust in coworkers, and emotion-based trust in coworkers were set up as independent variables of this research model, and sharing of tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge based on the knowledge content as dependent variables. The research results shows that the suitability of each model has approximate value to the required level, and that emotion-based trust in coworkers significantly affects knowledge sharing for both the individual and integrated factors in hypothetical influential relationship. This study is expected to help to enable knowledge sharing in various situations by dividing the concepts of trust that affect knowledge sharing into a few types, and deriving the influential model of knowledge sharing by types.

Background: Domestic violence (DV) is associated with serious consequences for victims, children, and families, and even national economies. An emerging literature demonstrates that DV also has a negative impact on workers and workplaces. Less is known about the extent to which people are aware of coworkers' experiences of DV. Methods: Using data from a pan-Canadian sample of 8,429 men and women, we examine: (1) awareness of coworker DV victimization and perpetration; (2) the warning signs of DV victimization and perpetration recognized by workers; (3) whether DV victims are more likely than nonvictims to recognize DV and its warning signs in the workplace; and (4) the impacts of DV that workers perceive on victims'/perpetrators' ability to work. Results: Nearly 40% of participants believed they had recognized a DV victim and/or perpetrator in the workplace and many reported recognizing more than one warning sign. DV victims were significantly more likely to report recognizing victims and perpetrators in the workplace, and recognized more DV warning signs. Among participants who believed they knew a coworker who had experienced DV, 49.5% thought the DV had affected their coworker's ability to work. For those who knew a coworker perpetrating DV, 37.9% thought their coworker's ability to work was affected by the abusive behavior. Conclusion: Our findings have implications for a coordinated workplace response to DV. Further research is urgently needed to examine how best to address DV in the workplace and improve outcomes for victims, perpetrators, and their coworkers.
The purpose of this study was to identify the variables of foodservice employees's job satisfaction. The questionnaires to measure job satisfaction were completed by 323 employees in the Gyunggi province. Foodservice employees' job satisfaction was evaluated by the modified Smith method(1969). All statistical data analyses were conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Science(SPSS version 12.0). The study results were as follows; 1. The demographic data showed that 65.3% of respondents aged in 40~49 years old, 96% were married, 68.8% were high school graduates, 10.2% were college graduates and 93.5% were contracted employees. 2. Factors that influenced job satisfaction among employees varied significantly. Older workers tended to be more satisfied in their job. In addition, those who had graduated college showed the highest job satisfaction score(3.03). Subjects who had graduated university showed the lowest job satisfaction score(2.05). Subjects who had worked for 2-3 years showed the highest satisfaction scores concerning their relationships with coworkers(3.33), whereas those who had worked less than 2 years showed the lowest (3.14). Regarding school type, employees working in high schools had the highest job satisfaction scores, whereas those working in middle schools had the lowest. Satisfaction of leaving school time, ‘after 4 pm group’ had the highest score(3.01). 3. The correlation between salary satisfaction and job satisfaction was significant(r=0.307, p<0.001). In addition, the correlation between job satisfaction and work satisfaction was also significant(r=0.444, p<0.001). The correlation between job satisfaction and satisfaction about relations with coworkers was significant(r=0.118, p<0.01). The correlation between salary satisfaction and work satisfaction was significant(r=0.308, p<0.001). The correlation between salary satisfaction and satisfaction about relation with coworkers not significant, but it was negative(r=0.307, p<0.001). The correlation between work satisfaction and satisfaction about relations with coworkers significant(r=0.210, p<0.001). According to this study, job satisfaction and salary were positively related. This study provides foodservice managers useful information for design positions that will increase productivity. Future study is needed to determine the factors that will improve job satisfaction and satisfy the employees' needs, which in turn will improve school food service quality.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to analyze the effects of ethical decision making factors on vocational ethics and job satisfaction of firefighters and to provide basic data to promote appropriate vocational ethics and improve job satisfaction. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by firefighters in D metropolitan area from May 7 to 15, 2017. A total of 410 data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 program. Results: Among influential factors of ethical decision making, "ethical environment of organization"(${\beta}=.266$), "coworkers' influence" (${\beta}=.216$), and "managers' ethical competence" (${\beta}=.148$), 'compensation and punishment'(${\beta}=.097$) had a positive effect on vocational ethics, while "coworkers' influence" (${\beta}=.281$), "ethical environment of organization" (${\beta}=.274$), and "managers' ethical competence" (${\beta}=.143$) had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Vocational ethics was found to have a significantly positive effect on job satisfaction (B=.657, t=8.802, p=.000). Conclusion: It is necessary to promote vocational ethics for improvement of firefighters' job satisfaction, and appropriate ethics education should be provided. It is important to actively manage the factors affecting ethical decision making.
Most of the studies based on the outcome of business ethics were mainly focused on financial and non-financial results, CEO's business ethics and practical willingness as a preceding variable for business ethics and its success. This study regards business innovation on corporate sustainability and social responsibilities. There fore, this study will prove the result of activities based on business innovation and its activities, for participation of members is of importance. Therefore, this study proved the hypothesis that a worker's ethical conciousness is important in the result of business ethics, and that it also effects the result of business ethics for practice and innovative intentions for a moderating effect. This study emphasizes on ethical consciousness related to business ethics and consensus related to business ethics due to members' ethical consciousness influenced by organization's business ethics and perception. There ought to be an implication for this study. Also, as a result variable, the job satisfaction of coworkers is affected by conscious business ethics, but not affected in the innovative intentions. In addition, it is shown that the consciousness of business ethics is a controllable variable, for it affects job satisfaction concerning coworkers, but does not affect general job satisfactions.
This study examined the social wellbeing of working mothers of preschool children with the aim of identifying relationships between social wellbeing and influencing factors, focusing on the individual, relationship, and work environment of the mothers. Data on 390 working mothers were used for this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program and descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results show that social wellbeing has significantly positive correlations with education, monthly household income, number of children, age of the first child(8 and over), social capital for childcare, division of childcare, maternal role values, spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement, and family-supportive work environment, as well as significantly negative correlations with weekly working hours, sociological ambivalence, spouse's beliefs about father's breadwinner role and gender-role values, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers. In addition, hierarchical regression revealed that spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement and a family-supportive work environment were significantly positive predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing, whereas working mothers'sociological ambivalence toward their roles, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers were significantly negative predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing. These results point to ways of changing education and policy to improve the social wellbeing of working mothers.
